We blew a fortune, brought in just one young player with pace (Summerville) when we have none and other teams like Palace, Forest have plenty and went cheap on the manager and striking options. We now have 3 x 30+ end of career forwards without pace. So, cheap on Moyes-like tactics and cheap on goals, what could possibly go wrong!

I think we have to be careful to separate Lopetegui ‘the manager we didn’t wanted’ and Lopetegui’s a ‘manager that’s rubbish.’ He’s a top manager. Spain and Real Madrid didn’t just take a punt on him. We just need to give him time and get behind him. I find it really frustrating that the fan base is constantly unhappy. It’s taken 5 games for all the new exciting to go back to where it was before but with new characters. “Lopetegui hasn’t got a clue. Fullkrug’s rubbish, Brazil’s starting midfielder is not good enough to start for West Ham. It’s been 5 games. Just relax and let it play out. Thanks for the video.

Sullivan is such a weasel. Tim has been a model professional in supporting the company line despite Loppy clearly being Sully's choice, There's no chance he would undermine the new head coach. With regard to Loppy I'm giving him until Xmas to at least have an opinion, I will say that team selection and tactics have got me a bit concerned. But I love his attitude on substitions and changing system in-game. I think the players need to step up too though.

Is it too much to ask for a professional organisation to act professional? It's always the same silly games year after year. How about everyone on the board just accepts that we are in a crap position right now. We have spent big money, so when that big money leads to further stagnation in the club, you would think there would be a plan of action, but no instead we argue amongst ourselves (members of the club and the fanbase!), become the joke of the premier league and then the blaming game begins once again. Just for once I want to see some unity and some accountability.
We are only as strong as our weakest link, and in this case all links are equally as weak and are only getting weaker as the days pass by. First I hope the blame culture is exaggerated, because if it is not these people will not be able to work together. This will be to the detriment of the club. I don't think the concept of a transitional manager is a sound one unless it is agreed with the manager. I see no evidence that Lopetegui is working on that basis.
While I liked Moyes I am able to move on. But while he was here he was blamed for a lot of things that were at least in part systemic and now we are seeing them play out.
The goals conceded last season which was due to the deterioration of Zouma who despite having knee problems was still our best CB. The conservative football which had a lot to do with playing twice a week for most of the season and not having the training time to work on things.
Lopetegui has a much easier hand to play. He has most of our best player from last season, new defenders and at least an option at striker. Equally important no European football so he will have a lot more quality time in training. He will also be able to press the opposition as the players won't have so many miles in their legs.
I think his main headwind is the teams he is competing with are ahead of us in their project and better financed. They now also have a head start. There will also be an issue sorting out the best defensive formation and personnel,. Eight goals in three home games tells a story.
I would take 10th today if it were offered. There are seven teams better financed and further ahead in the projects than us plus Bournemouth, Brighton, Villa and now Forest who look like dark horses this year.

Only 5 games and some WHU fans are making mugs of themselves demanding Lopetegui be sacked. Sullivan is the perpetual pantomime villain, but it's his money which has brought us from the Iceland circus to comfortable Premier League. Amorim was never coming to us, and Duran was never coming to us either - Amorim was flushing Liverpool out and Villa had already given Duran the No. 9 shirt. This season is about consolidation and transition, we've been beaten at home by three teams that were probably always beating us. Give it until Christmas and then assess where we are, if only to quiten the TalkSport muppets itching to troll us.

Agree with some of that but disagree a lot about fans making mugs of themselves, it’s just their opinions.
Am a good bit away from panicking (maybe if we lost to Brentford and fail to beat Ipswich but unsure that’ll happen) but fans are entitled to think what they wish, they’re not mugs just because we don’t agree.
I disagree about the Duran part of your comment but that’s fine, doesn’t mean you are a mug, we just have different opinions.
Life’s tough enough without calling people names for having different opinions. Some may think you are a mug for waiting until Christmas if we lose every game until then but that’s your view.

There is too much drama from all corners of west ham. But what’s new there? We are unbeaten away from home and lost 3 games at home that if spread over the course of the season would likely be disappointing but understandable given the quality of the opposition. Record in all comps do far this season is won 2, drawn 1 lost 3.
Does that mean Saturday wasn’t worrying? No. Does that mean much improvement on the tactical side of things is required? Absolutely. But saying a failure to win against Liverpool or Brentford could lead to a toxic atmosphere for the Ipswich game is the exact nonsense that creates such things in the first place. People need to get off their dramatic high horse and back the team, back the manager and show them they are with them. They could start by driving a stronger and more sustained atmosphere at the London stadium. One that away teams are actually afraid of. Right now it’s far too easy to silence the home crowd and feels like the players have to earn the right to be supported when they should be being driven on by the passion that clearly lies within their massive fan base.

The poison dwarf just cant help himself he has to interfere.. we all know why Loppi is in the hot seat. whispers in ears by agent cronies cheapest option and yes Loppi can do a presentation and yes moyes left us in a really bad way that will take more than a few games to get sorted but a lot of coaches have hit the ground running and got the best out of what they have . Brigton ,forest come to mind straight away . Apart from times in city game he is not filling me with confidence. Trolls from other clubs steaming in and moyesettes in media but he needs to start cracking on and leaarn from chelsea game.

And here it is geo. It only took 5 premier league games for everyone to slowly start turning their heads towards Sullivan...
Last year, apparently, the problem was Moyes. He's not here to take the blame for dinosaur tactics and being too negative anymore so what do we do?
We do what what we've always done and find someone to blame.
Let's say we lose all our home and away fixtures to the top 6 or 7 sides, but we win our home games against the others..
and get a win and a draw away to those teams aswel...
Then we probably end up in Europe.
    Technically, we're on track.

The only constant is Sullivan and he won’t change, rather he doubles down on the divide and rule he always reverts to, that’s a massive problem as it engenders anger within the fanbase. Let’s be honest if the results and performances continue to disappoint he’ll simply throw more chaff out there to redirect the blame from him, the fallout from that will just make things much worse.

Lopetegui was out of work 12 months had plenty of time to draw up a wanted list, & has been WHU since DM left the way were playing you'd think we he never had a pre-season or signed his own ''Wants'', we're looking like the laziest team in the league.

Dear, dear. I wish sullivan would keep his mouth shut. Think many fans are overreacting. Don't care who has signed who. We've got what we've got: and it's quite a good squad. Most of the media want JL to fail, many fans are perhaps rightly frustrated, but winning will cure most of this, as long as we don't get to toxic and start finger pointing....Mr Sullivan.

Interestingly he hasn’t done worse than Moyes first 8 or 9 games so far. Just adding some perspective compared to the man who could not be sacked. 😇😈. In reality as cynical as I am, what we are seeing beyond results is deeply worrying, can’t remember as a spectator seeing such a completely deluded set up as we saw on Saturday that from nearly everyone from fans to pundits was head shaking in its inappropriateness. Always thought we would struggle at first due to the change in personnel, I accepted his sticking with Moyes players early on as a result, but what we see is well beyond those reservations about expected competitiveness this season early on.
