Surprised there's any difference at all between the cars. Interesting how sand mode let the Kia win over the Hyundai for the 1 wheel on ground test, otherwise they're pretty much equal.
This is not a dual clutch. It is a traditional 6 speed transmission. If you need link sources I can provide them. Also no one said this was for off-road. Crossovers are designed for snowy or slippery situations. This isn't a bronco or a wrangler.
the power distribution in sportage sand mode works very well.
Seems like the Sand mode works well
Impressive how big the difference is between the KIAs modes!
Not bad at all. Actually comparable to some subarus ive seen on these tests

Dual Clutch Transmission is NOT built for off-road conditions…

@@thatdudeinblackshoesHyundai has 7DCT. Kia has 6AT.
@@4x4.tests.on.rollers KIA has a DCT in 1.6 T & 1.6 Diesel. The hybrids have a torque converter auto. Same with the Tucson.
@@dimekozaMy response was about cars from test, not about transmissions in general.
@@4x4.tests.on.rollers I know, but still, you can get both DCT and Auto in both cars depending on the model...
But they have exact same AWD hardware - they are the same company
In this case - different transmissions and different awd systems tuning.
The Kia is Hybrid and uses real automatic, the Hyndai has DCT which sucks big time.
@@nikolayrayanov2895 dct’s are better than regular auto though
@@chopping_board better in what?
more gears (7 in this case) and faster response
sportage good
Please compare Mazda CX5 and Kia Sportage.
We'll do that in the future 👍
Older versions of Mazda CX5 used to be very bad in the AWD department. They said they tuned it for the 2023 Model, want to see if it's true or not.
@@nikolayrayanov2895 I believe we tested 2021 and it did very well.
@@4x4.tests.on.rollers could be, when the current gen of cx5 came out it was disastrous, not as bad as CR-V, but not much better.
