    @mercy4u695 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The Oilers showed very good tenacity against a Vegas team that could have been shut down with only 2 minutes left in the 3rd. The last three tie breaking shots post OT period were very impressive. Connor has that incredible ability to skate quick, and what I like to refer to in a neutrally balanced unbiased position, as he approaches the net, shifting his weight effortlessly from foot to foot. Once he senses the goalie's own body and weight transition, Connor's hand eye coordination and puck shooting ability allows him to locate the space he needs for that highest percentage of success shot to produce a goal. The Nuge emulated similar special hand eye coordination and shooting and that's a wrap boys. Impressive on so many levels. The Team aren't giving up anymore, confidence is returning. If Skinner was beaten it was on very difficult or fluky shots by Vegas. And as usual I suspect the Team has tasted Connor's angry words adding existential pressure, which helps overcome adversity and win again. Connor having his old coach back is a also very good addition. Loved the game!

    I'm reading a lot of comments pointing fingers at Skinner in this one... BUT!
    First goal - bounces off Ekholm's butt after a tip.
    Second goal - Knight's player left COMPLETELY unmarked in the slot off a face off, with very little time to get set.
    Third goal - Perfect screen by Oiler player after a series of blown defensive plays.
    Fourth goal - tipped in at close range.
    The Oil did what they had to do... got the 2 points. They aren't likely to catch the Knights in the standings, but the point is, they don't have to do. What they MUST do, though, is tighten up defensively. If they had been, at least two of those goals never happen.

      @@NP-co7kj I have yet to see one of you fans mention this. Only “yes we won” but fail to mention the fact it should’ve been in regulation when you had a 2 goal lead with 5 minutes left. I DO see many an oiler fan cheering the Leafs losing a 3 goal lead in the playoffs to the Bruins over 10 years ago, but a 2 goal lead with 5 to go? Disappointed wouldn’t be the word I’d use.

      @@ivodozi And if they won 5 to 1 you'd still trash the Oilers and the fans. No fan thinks the Oilers defense or goalies are good so the late period collapse ties into exactly that. @@NP-co7kj who said I was a leafs fan? Yes, I love to hate on the oilers simply because they tanked for over 2 decades and have the same trash team even with 500 1st overalls (yes, I know that’s an exaggeration, don’t get your panties in a twist). Your team, and its fans, were hating on other teams, even when they were terrible. Yes, other teams do this as well, not saying they don’t. But coiler fans (you seem reasonable, just some in your fan base) are just horrid. I was a at a game in Washington when the leafs were rebuilding, I was there with my bro who is a huge leafs fan, and I saw nothing but respect from leaf fans after the win, and this was a playoff game. Tell me that coiler fans would act the same. There’s a reason why they are not liked by flames and Canuck and even jet fans. They. Are. Toxic. And watching them struggle, just puts a smile on my face.

    • @NP-co7kj
      @NP-co7kj 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ivodozi I think the main reason they hate the Oilers is because of their (the Oilers') historical success and the legendary players they had a long time ago. I never knew they hate the fans here too, but you may be right. I would hope the Oilers fans are classier than you imply. People on social media do not necessarily represent the entire fan base. As for the decades of darkness; we are all quite aware and pissed about it, and it's not a fun thing to experience as a fan. People should realize that we say the exact same things about the current team and management in that the defense is sub-par, the goaltending is not good, etc. Also, people do feel that McDavid and Draisaitl may be the two most skilled players in the league but they are not the best players because of their often sketchy 200ft game (but that's improving). A lot of people (perhaps most) think McKinnon and Crosby are better overall. Lastly, when we read articles or hear about media people of news agency's forecasting the Oilers as a Stanley cup favorite (before that is), everyone I talk to essentially says "uh maybe, but they have to improve big time in their defensive game and get much better goaltending". We don't live in a false reality. We have virtually the same views. But maybe we've been too tolerant and too supportive by filling the arena during the daces of darkness.
