I love this painting! Reminds of the the photo of the green -eyed girl on the cover of the National Geographic. Both very arresting images, and compelling faces and eyes that draw the viewer in, and don't let go.
Thank you for such a wonderful, illuminating lecture. May I contribute a side note to whoever generous enough to make the caption. I think it would be better to use "inaudible" instead of the word "mumble", as I don’t think the speaker was mumbling at all, and saying he was is quite unfair to him, and distracting to whoever reading the caption. At least I find it quite distracting. I think at one time he was saying "quotidian" and at another time he was saying "oeuvre", quite clearly, while both times the caption says "(mumble)".
I have seen the film about The girl with pearl Earring and l found it is a nice painting unfortunately not your exchibition but thanks for your kindness for your performance.
loved the opening statement. just could not bring yourselves to include the words "girl with a pearl earring" How pretentious! you need to ask yourself who you want your audience to be and how board of a reach do you want to have at the Frick.

Thank you very much. A new view to this famous picture.
This is a fabulous lecture.
I love lectures like these. High culture.
Exellent Lecture - plenty of interesting parallels and good overview of research currents on the painting and the artist.
