I don't think this is a qc issue anymore. This is a design flaw. They need to add loctite or stronger bolts and increase the tightening specs.
@@NWA_1919 I did check one of my bolts, there is already loctite added, might need more or thigthen more.
You should have taken one of the allen key bolts out to see if they are threadlocked, if so you could have applied more threadlocker to help keep them in place. Remember though any bolt into metal can be threadlocked but not if they go into plastic.

oh my gosh my moza KS has a wobbly QR too. I unscrewed all of the external screws and I could not separate it, so I screwed it back together and am just dealing with it. Thank you thank you thank you.
Really annoying that we had this issue. Glad you were able to fix it. Though its a shame that you have to destroy the sticker to fix an issue that should never happen in the first place.

@@Kireth After some thought, I don't want to end up breaking the wheel and also having my warranty voided for taking it apart. I messaged moza support yesterday, and just sent them a video of the flex.
Moza's response to me included instructions on how to fix a wheelbase issue (?), and asking me if I "made sure all the screws are tight"... ya know, the screws I don't have access to unless I void my warranty and take this apart? so I am not feeling confident.
Allowing screws that can ONLY be accessed internally to become loose is a MASSIVE oversight by Gudsen Moza.
Worst case - as one of your commentors mentioned - I will buy some locktite and fix the issue myself :)
Another update in case anyone has this issue and goes the warranty route. I am shipping it back to Moza today to get fixed under warranty, things are looking good.

@@ricardoa1661 I did not pay for it, as I have warranty.
Additionally, I got my Moza KS back a month after I sent it in... and they clearly did not use locktite because the QR has started to loosen again. Also, I use a wired connection to the universal hub and it wobbles loose and loses connection every 10 seconds while racing. which means, I can not use the wheel at all.
Contacted moza again, and their solution now is to send me a new QR... no. I'm done with this wheel. poorly designed. cheap parts. Waste of time and money for me.
Weird to see issues with that qr. The mounting seems to be very solid to the wheel. I think you should send this feedback to moza. If they have any interest in market feedback, they can easily fix this issue for future production.
Thank you so much for making this video. I have the same problem with my KS and would’ve never hoped / expected someone would have posted a step by step video on how to fix it.
It’s also my favorite wheel.
My KS has a solid QR, but when turning with the FFB high, the grips make creaks, it feels like the plastic is not firm…
This will be a video where the likes just keep growing, as those with this problem hunt it down 💪🔥.

There's some really nice stickers for the ks and a lot of other wheels on lovely stickers. Maybe they'd be an idea to make the crumpled sticker look nicer
Best way is to use threadlocker(the blue one). Because it gets loose again without it

I am having a rattling noise when driving curbs in high speed. But I believe the noise comes from the QR itself, because I can wibble the round moving thing which snaps in place a bit, when the wheel in fixed.
Don't know how to fix that 😢

I've been thinking of upgrading the 10-year old G29 to a DD. How long did that last before it broke?
This is random but I figured I should ask since you have kind of become the sim racers investigative journalist😅
Is there a way to sift through the big data on the back end of Gran Turismo? Like is there a user interface that I can go to and look through all of the players to see who has ranked the highest and spent the least amount of time playing? Or who has gone the fastest in certain cars on certain tracks and then be able to compare that with how long they have spent practicing? I feel like that should be what determines driver rating. If I was a scout looking for a real world driver to recruit The first thing I would do would be to go to Gran Turismo and ask if I could have access to the back end data so I can see who plays the game the least and is the fastest. I usually hop on the game once or twice a month just to see if I can rank within the top 500. My driver rating is BS when I know for a fact there might be a thousand people on the planet that can match me lol. Makes no sense to play Gran Turismo for casual players even if you are a professional driver. Gran Turismo needs professional drivers to be ranked highly because they aren't going to play as often and they aren't going to drive GR3 or GR4 cars because those are basically arcade models. Gran Turismo could be so much more. We are so happy to have so little.
