Disney finally seems to be learning that the market for physical media is a different one than streaming. Great news and I will definitely be ordering these on day 1.
That's the hope yeah. I don't blame them for taking the path they did tho. They needed to give their streaming service the best chance possible to grow, so it makes sense that they presumed that physical media would've too significantly cannabilized their streaming numbers (i.e., fear of too many people avoiding a subscription if they know they can just buy the movies they want when it comes out). It's easy for us as 4K enthusiasts to have remained hungry for this and to think that it's clear in hindsight for Disney to do this, but their strategy was deliberate. The only reason they're shifting gears now is because streaming isn't doing as well as they would like...which happens to be for reasons that have nothing to do with physical media. We're getting lucky. And they'll continue to be selective about what they release as they guage what's worthy of physical release when without too significantly impacting their streaming numbers any further.
@@robertfaler7081 Out from Disney, absolutely -- I don't think they've *ever* gotten that deep, dark or compelling in a TV series, and even their film lineup rarely goes that extra mile.

@markpugh6808 I get what you are saying. I have the Mighty Max series and the original theatrical Star Wars trilogy (despecialized edition in 720p) on Blu-ray, but it is not the same as having a proper release. The quality of burned disc's is not the same as a pressed disc.
