Plus, this guy is a fucking BADASS in the comics. xD Those lines he gave Medic after he cured his injuries (in the comic series where they were trying to save Mann.Co from Grey Man) were the fucking best, about him being the “most dangerous man on the planet”, since he does not fear death because he knows what’s waiting for him after he dies.
Sniper and Engineer imo are the most badass characters in the game, but especially sniper. He seriously doesn’t fear anything, and he is always ten steps ahead of everyone as the professional and cold blooded assassin he is.
Overwatch has some bland and kinda cliché backstory which makes it kinda boring imo, but what I love about Team Fortress 2 is that it combines the most silly but heart-warming comedy with serious and badass moments that actually catch you off-guard sometimes.
And this is mostly achieved because of the amazing character development and unique personality that each of the characters have. :)
They have both a warm and funny/silly side to them, and it works SURPRISINGLY *PERFECTLY!*
A perfect example of this can be Heavy, and also I would like to say Medic as well, since Medic does tend to be silly and crazy but when he gets serious he’s an absolute badass mastermind.
Edit: But this is what makes Valve’s recent actions kinda sad and disappointing, right? The game developers who made valve games like Portal 2, Half Life, and Team Fortress 2 are unrivaled and genius storytellers here in the west who also know how to bring us freshly new but infinitely fun gameplay to experience with each one of their games. But since Valve’s been making a shitload of money from all the third party games that are sold on steam, they don’t really seem to give a crap about their own game series as much anymore...
So much potential just... wasted.
As a result, as some of us already know the guy who designed the story for Half Life recently left Valve and revealed the plot of HL3.
