My Dream Vacation I hope to take one day is to Barcelona, Spain. It's just so beautiful and I feel like the culture experience would be so special. ❤ I'm sorry you didn't like it as much. Maybe if you were to go back again it might be less busy.
What’s crazy about the Sagrada Familia is that’s not renovation, it’s never been finished. It’s expected to be finished in 2026, but due to the changing designs and lack of funds, it’s still not finished. It’s been in construction for over 200 years! Absolutely love the vlogs and glad to see you’re both happy and healthy! ❤️
Sensational. Cannot get enough of this. About that Sagrada Familia cathedral...pretty sure I read that they started construction on it some 200 years ago, and STILL haven't finished! Various reasons..financial among them. Ohhh I love cuckoo clocks too. So many incredibly cute things in those shops! And btw you look great in a hat Brogan!!

I blooming love these vlogs! They really do tempt me. Everything on these cruises look so luxe and convenient too. I have said it so many times but watching you and Benj just brightens my day as I love your relationship, reminds me of my fella and I and our silliness. Also Benji’s knowledge and facts are crazy! You definitely missed a real treat by not going inside it La Sagrada Familia. We were in Barcelona for the first time five weeks ago and went inside La Sagrada Familia, and it is stunning and so the opposite of the outside. The windows are stunning, you cannot see their beauty from outside. It’s modern and full of such beautiful colours and Gaudi spirals, and we went up one of the towers. We spent several hours inside. It was so relaxing and tranquil and spiritual.
Of course, we’d love to go inside in future but a) didn’t think we’d have time and b) couldn’t get tickets. It is on our list though, we’ve seen the photos 😊
Isn’t it spectacular inside?! I remember standing in the sunlight pouring through the stained glass and welling up because it was so unbelievably beautiful. We booked our tickets online for our chosen time slot the day before, if I recall correctly. Really quick and easy.
I spent 4 nights in Barcelona precovid .. the atmosphere at night was sublime … never saw any pickpockets… felt very safe and the little lanes OFF las Ramblas are amazing and full of little authentic tapas bars, we went mid September and it was so nice and warm at night.. almost magical. I’d definitely go back again and stay … the fruit and food market is stunning ohhhh I really want to go back again

Wow been to Majorca many times but never seen half the places you went to in Palma so I’ve made a note of them and will definitely go hunting when I’m there in 2 weeks 😊
When you were standing in the square in Barcelona saying you were tired and wondering where to go, i was shouting 'turn righ't at the screen lol. Down that little side alley is a beautiful church and El pont de Bisbe, amazing gothic architecture. Barcelona can be overwhelming. It really needs 3 days and to just wonder the little streets to see at its best. 😊
LOVE Facts with Benji segments. We have a weekend in Barcelona before our NCL Transatlantic cruise in November and I am definitely adding the Caelum cafe to the list. Need to try all the cakes and the blackcurrant cava. It's actually only a 2 minute walk from the apartment we're in. Another great vlog. Thanks guys x

Bengi is like an expert on all the historic stuff ❤️ I think you did really well in Barcelona, you saw loads considering how crowded it was. The cafes you went to looked amazing but the theatre was my fave. The restaurants on board look amazing!! 😘😘
Very interesting to see the difference between the guided excursion and your DIY. I think I would prefer the DIY but would do the guided to take a bit of pressure off. Shame about the crowds at the cathedral but I am with you and would have not lingered. Really appreciated Benji’s tour guide service - would book him any day 🤣🤣🤣 Another great vlog

Another great vlog with excellent content . Loved the Christmas shop . We always buy a decoration from every place we visit and have a big tree we put them all on and call it out memory tree! I was on the same cruise, and in Barcelona I went Monastery at Montserrat, absolutely fantastic shore experience. But not if you suffer from Vertigo as the rack and pinion train is steep and just clings to the mountain
Great idea to balance excursions with a bit of guided/bit of self exploration. Nice to discover where you might return to as I was sorry to see you didn’t love La Sagrada Familia, it is spectacular inside. I get the vibe though really sets the tone on how you want to spend your time. PS I learned how to pronounce it from when the Cheetah Girls went there LOL
Hi Brogan. Have you any idea how many staff it takes to run the cruise ship? It must be quite a lot. The logistics of food stocks, fuel, maintenance, berthing permits etc must be quite a feat.

There is a Christmas shop in York so like the shop in Barcelona, I am wondering if it is the same chain. So expensive, especially the clocks , I nearly had to resuscitate my husband 😂

Thanks for watching! I mentioned I didn't love my meal at Sindhu as it was a bit spicy for my palette. I also didn't love the Digital Show we spoke about in this vlog (Benj's favourite but my least favourite), I said it lacked a storyline. I found the buffet to be quite busy on a sea day morning, so I preferred eating at The Quays or the main restaurant. Other than those things, I honestly don't have much to criticise about Ariva. We had an amazing trip and I felt totally at home. Hope that helps! 🥰
Going on arvia next September and watching your vlogs has made me feel so at ease and answered so many of my questions. I do have one though, can you eat at more than one restaurant a night say you have eaten at one but you didn’t enjoy it or were still hungry could you just go to another one? Amazing! Yes you can, no one is counting how many restaurants you do/don't go to. We ate dinner in one place and had dessert at the buffet one more than one occasion! xx
Definitely go, if it’s somewhere you have wanted to go. Seeing it for yourself can’t compare to someone else’s experience… and thanks to this vlog you have more information about how best to see those famous Gaudi landmarks My fiancé and I did a shore experience which included entry which was great (also about £125 pp with lunch) but i have been to Barcelona 2-3 time before not via a cruise which was also great
I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy Barcelona so much! I’ve lived here for 4.5 years (I’m from the UK) and I hate la rambla! It’s the busiest most crowded spot and Is lined with shit restaurants! I would always suggest montjuic For the best views of the city, we have hundreds of bars and restaurants all off the main tourist traps and so I think another visit to see more and get a real feel of it you might love it more! Also understand it isn’t for everyone! The tourists (ironic) can all get a lot and I’ll be honest it’s mainly all the boat loads of people from cruises who make up most of the crowds! 😳 what’s great is we have the Costa Brava coast and mountains so it’s very easy to escape the crowds ☺️
I think we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to try and see lots in one day, but we will return! I want to go inside the buildings, do Park Guell and the football stadium for Benji, but really appreciate these tips and will save them for next time! xx

Thanks for watching! I mentioned I didn't love my meal at Sindhu as it was a bit spicy for my palette. I also didn't love the Digital Show we spoke about in this vlog (Benj's favourite but my least favourite), I said it lacked a storyline. I found the buffet to be quite busy on a sea day morning, so I preferred eating at The Quays or the main restaurant. Other than those things, I honestly don't have much to criticise about Ariva. We had an amazing trip and I felt totally at home. Hope that helps! 🥰

Going on arvia next September and watching your vlogs has made me feel so at ease and answered so many of my questions. I do have one though, can you eat at more than one restaurant a night say you have eaten at one but you didn’t enjoy it or were still hungry could you just go to another one?

Amazing! Yes you can, no one is counting how many restaurants you do/don't go to. We ate dinner in one place and had dessert at the buffet one more than one occasion! xx

Definitely go, if it’s somewhere you have wanted to go. Seeing it for yourself can’t compare to someone else’s experience… and thanks to this vlog you have more information about how best to see those famous Gaudi landmarks
My fiancé and I did a shore experience which included entry which was great (also about £125 pp with lunch) but i have been to Barcelona 2-3 time before not via a cruise which was also great
We have booked to go on Arvia in 2025, are there any day experiences that would be suitable for a 8 and 16yr old, or are they just sight seeing?
I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy Barcelona so much! I’ve lived here for 4.5 years (I’m from the UK) and I hate la rambla! It’s the busiest most crowded spot and Is lined with shit restaurants! I would always suggest montjuic For the best views of the city, we have hundreds of bars and restaurants all off the main tourist traps and so I think another visit to see more and get a real feel of it you might love it more! Also understand it isn’t for everyone! The tourists (ironic) can all get a lot and I’ll be honest it’s mainly all the boat loads of people from cruises who make up most of the crowds! 😳 what’s great is we have the Costa Brava coast and mountains so it’s very easy to escape the crowds ☺️
I think we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to try and see lots in one day, but we will return! I want to go inside the buildings, do Park Guell and the football stadium for Benji, but really appreciate these tips and will save them for next time! xx
