And yet the FAA's remote ID is ruining that by requiring a network connection to fly. So SAR is affected, and they're making it so even practice on your own property will prohibited. It's all because they want a commercial "drone super highway" from 0-400ft.

    • @ditavalerio615

That usually is state by state-
Illinois needs so many deaths at a intersection before the state approves money for a red light at an intersection-
I’m sure this may be the same situation and if so possibly worth reading about -

The report stated “other vehicles have gone off the highway” in the past.

My wife and I saw them in passing on June 11th of this year. We were hiking up to see the Big Horn Mine and they were on their way back down. We stopped and asked them if they could tell us how much further we had to go. In reply they said “about 15 more minutes and you should be there”. We said thank you guys so much and they said not a problem you are welcome and enjoy your hike. That was the one and only time we ever saw them. They were so nice and looked so happy to be out hiking that day. Our hearts go out to the family members for both of the young kids.

It was a car that had gone off the cliff there and fell down among the rocks about 800 feet. Couldn't really recognize it as a car though, just a rolled up ball of steel. The extrication of the two bodies still inside the car was going to be a tough process. I'll never forget what that car looked like. I drove a little bit slower when I was going back down the mountain that day headed home.
