Feed conversion ratio is the measure of livestock production efficiency: the weight of feed intake divided by weight gained by the animal. Pigs have a higher efficiency and thus low FCR values of 2-3. Based on multiple researches, it was found that for pigs to gain a certain amount of weight, the feed they eat should be 2-3 times the amount of weight we want them to gain.

It’ll be better to use a scale to weigh so you’re sure of the amount of feed you’re giving them.

Yes, but you’ll have to feed for an additional 1-2 months in order for them to fatten. Then you can sell at a good price.
