This song had been so clever! Especially that part when an asked "what could we have missed" and the ghost told him to destroy/use up all the tools he had to defend himself and then strengthen the ghost by asking him to call his name louder and louder
They way the story is visually told was clever too. There’s a lot of nods to previous versions and bugs that are infamous (revenant had a lot of them for some reason in earlier versions, for instance. Some even became permanent features, such as instant/high sanity hunt. This was originally a bug of Revenant, became a feature on Banshee, and in the most recent update, was transferred to Demon, which fits well.) Another bug was that certain ghost types would teleport to the nearest player. Rev and I think Jinn and Wraith had this issue the most. Another glitch was the ghost attacking a player that was in the van. This has since been patched out.
@@amythestmuse22 its a real shame that the ghost attacking the player in the van wasnt made a real feature, it would definitely add to the thriller factor if you leave a teammate to oversee the status of the ghost and then a few minutes later you check in and they are gone
@@ironhelmet1750 No kidding. There are a few things that could have been fun additions to ad to the atmosphere. Writing on the wall or scratches could have been ghost events or possibly even unique, rare features to a ghost type, like how Obake has a unique version for the Fingerprints evidence or Goryo 's DOTs evidence can only be seen on a camera with no one else in the room. Writing on the wall could be something that a new ghost type could potentially do rather then writing in the books and stuff.
Showing the dead body in the van that has probably been like that for a good couple hours and a closeup shot to the walkie-talkie and the fading beat just gives me chills. It's presented so well and we quickly hear Nate's voice just soon after in Aj's walkie-talkie as we come to the realization. The backup singing "phasmophobia" just gradually getting louder along with the beat that left earlier I just- I love this alright
Ok so I'm on my third time watching and I have my guess, The ghost lied about many things throughout, first and foremost telling them that saying it's name would neutralize it, which means it had already killed their van guy before they got from the van to the house (it's fast, note this for later), it then tried to make them think it was a Demon, then a Mare, and then A Poltergeist, as well as telling them they had ghost orbs to really throw them off, but it couldn't help but leave some clues along the way, the first clue was fingerprints, which I think was on purpose as a red herring but that still counts as evidence. The next clue we get is level 5 EMF when the one guy regains consciousness, which gives us Fingerprints, and EMF 5. That means it's either a Revenant or a Banshee. Since the ghost says that it's "freezing cold" I'm going to rule out Banshee because this thing has been trying to throw them off the scent the entire time, plus we never saw anyone's breath, and last but not least the grand reveal was the ghost writing instead of writing in a book it's on the wall it appears with the words "I LIED", and if those are the three pieces of evidence Fingerprints, EMF 5, and Ghost Writing. That would make it a Revenant which is a very fast moving Ghost but only if it can see you, so I'm guessing it had line of sight to the van from inside the house. It's likely in one of the front rooms of the house on the first floor, and since the garage is right in front of the open van doors I would even hazard to guess that it is in the garage. If I'm right I'll take my $10 in cash or you can just E-transfer me, just private message me for my info, thanks! TL;DR I think it's a Revenant, where's my $10?
I think the Ghost killed the guy in the minivan a bit into the song. "Speaking like someone in a well lit minivan" could probably have been the "Oh, someone's there?" Because the ghost didn't kill the first guy, he had to have killed someone during that hunt.
1:53 Guys I think I know! You know how the first victim opened the door. It was the door to the outside and the ghost was coming back from the van, so he killed him! Makes a lot of sense I guess
I think this has to be one of my favorite musicals, storytelling-wise. I LOVED the twist of the guy in the van being dead all along, the dramatics of AJ shouting Noah Walker's name, and the hint of the Revenant telling the players to burn all the smudge sticks and break the crucifix so that they're unusable when he finally goes in for the kill. Not to mention the Ghost Writing and EMF 5 actually happening later on, it all came together to be such a compelling and interesting story!! I don't want to even imagine how hard the game would be if ghosts could actually give the players red herrings
I just want you to know that we've passed your comment around the RE office today, and all gotten HUGE smiles from it. Thanks for leaving such a thoughtful and wonderful comment. It really made our day. Especially AJ's. As the mastermind behind all the projects, it's really nice to see his story-telling appreciated. THANK YOU. - Gwen
@@randomencounters Aw, that makes me so happy to hear!! Even months later I often come back to this song-- and lots of your others!-- to enjoy them over and over again. I love your work and I'm so incredibly happy to have made you guys even a fraction as happy as you've made me since I started watching years ago
@Green Lemonade well yeah but it's also a phrase people say before something extremely bad happens Like in payday 2 Bain will alert the heist crew before a police assault wave
yeah ngl every line spoken by the ghost was good foreshadowing. calling it “the hunt” was referring to the ghost hunting them, which i find really well done
How creepy would it be if the actual game had a ghost that would record your voice, and once it kills you, it plays audio of your own voice to confuse your teammates?
“Destroy that crucifix” “.........isn’t this supposed to protect me?” “Look, don’t ask questions, just snap the fancy cross in half ok?” “.........ok, works for me!”
Alright but is nobody gonna talk about how Noah Walker knew so much about ghost traits and evidence? He was probably a ghost hunter himself before he died, and is using his knowledge to murder the intruders.
Noah Walker is a Revenant. Fingerprints, EMF 5 and he does Ghost Writing, not with the book, but the "I lied" part. Also highly aggressive and eager to kill, can teleport to the player.
@@galaxy9534 No, not in game. But they also can't kill you in the truck either or talk through the walkie talkie. So safe to say they took some creative license with some of these things. Though imagine how much creepier it would be if a ghost COULD write on a wall.... Or perhaps a white board/chalkboard. That would be trippy and very cool.
"Using its name should help neutralize it" *flashbacks to when i told my new-to-phasmophobia friends that saying the ghost's name would keep it calm just so they would die and learn to trust nobody in video games*
Is it just me, or the fact that I absolutely love how Aj plays a serious character in this one. He usually plays the goofy characters, and I just found that cool-
3:51 The Audio Swap was PERFECT from the Radio to Clear and the part where AJ was shouting out the Noah Walker gave me chills THIS IS SO WELL MADE 2:25 FREEZE. Enhance image. Beard spotted on the wall while Gwen is headed up the stairs
Theory: The NateWantsToBattle here is the same Nate in the Fnaf Musical that escaped with Mark. He quit his job as a security night guard and went to search for the missing kids as a ghost hunter. He took it to far with his searching and became a ghost himself and that's why we haven't heard Nate in a while because he is ghost. Btw I like this musical. Creepiest song from this channel other than Nana knows the ending. Edit: Damn that's a lot of likes. Thanks guys! Anyway let me clear some replies: 1. Thank you to @Cherry Star for explaining and expanding this theory better than me! Seriously. 2. An RE Universe is very cool to see and I want to see more! AJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3. Yes even though a line says several centuries old, which can refer to Nate the ghost or the building itself and let clear that. Fnaf is placed around 1960's-2000's. And Nate's character was still at the time when Freddy Fazbear's pizza is changing the name (Ground Zero) and RE put that 1960's-80's. Point being that Nate's character is around 20-30 when he was hired for the job when Micheal was killed. Now the Fnaf Supercut could be placed around 1987 and Nate's character could've been killed around that time as well.
There is a flaw, which is that Nate's name in this musical is Noah Walker but his name in the FNaF musical was Nate, but I like to think that after the events of FNaF he changed his name so that MatPat couldn't track him, as he said in Day 6 "there's noone you can go where I find you". And Nate was like "aight, imma head out" and changed his name
@Pluto The Dwarf Planet Maybe as his microphone was not connected to the other’s talkies, in the game, you have to manually click a button to speak, otherwise, nobody will know you said anything! As for the people saying ‘how did he drive the van then?’ It’s likely he was killed after the group went in, or ever later in the musical, as when his body is shown, his bruises and the blood seems pretty fresh. (Sorry if those were joked btw, I’m not that good at telling jokes apart from seriousness ^^’)
I just noticed after watching this clip again multiple times it says, "I LIED" in a faded red against the wall in front of the last survivor at 3:17 with the line "It leaves both prints and orbs, or so I've long been told..."
@@GoldenseatGaming ah so it only says it the once? I honestly don't get how they missed that 😂 the camera is on it and it's big. I noticed it first time watching, I figured there was just more text I didn't see.
I think they did that to represent the last evidence, Ghost Writing. Granted, it's more similar to a certain Ghost Writer (Yes, THAT show), rather then in a book like the game has. Imagine if something similar could happen in the game in places like the school or places with paper or writing surfaces.
Something I found quite clever was that someone "died" in every chorus part, the van driver in chorus 1, the guy who was "killed" trying to open the front door, the girl who died upstairs and finally the other dude who died at the end of the last chorus.
@@shadowprince8653 As Nate says following 1:09, the guy they are talking to is in “a well-lit minivan.” They think they’re talking to the guy in the van, but Noah Walker (NateWantsToBattle) killed him first and has been talking to them through the walkie-talkie the entire time.
My brain at the start: Are you guys confused? My brain when I saw the "I lied": OH SHEET THE GHOST IS MANIPULATING EVERYONE! My brain at the end: Can we get a ghost that can fake evidence and voices in the game?

2:16- fingerprints 3:14- EMF5 3:18- ghost wrighting? does that count it was a Revenant i think the ghost orbs were a lie as the guy was dead the whole time. or if there were freezing temps, then it was a Banshee.
Did anyone notice when the Ghost actually killed the guy in the van? I feel like it was when one of them said he was in a well-lit van. after he says that the ghost starts talking into the walkie talkie.
@@SPADE-de1wk no no all have a cruzifix weakness banshees have just a slightly higher radius to be blocked and the temprature thing wasnt said to be negative tempratures
I'd say the guy in the van was killed just after they entered the house, as it's Nate's voice on the radio from the start, giving incorrect advice regarding the ghost and how to neutralise it.
3:06 Anyone come back to this and realize that Natewantstobattle effectively talked about the Hantu before it became a ghost in the game? (Freezing Cold, Fingerprints, and Ghost Orbs)
Hauntu wasn't in the game yet though. Although it would be funny if the reason those are the Hauntu's evidences is because of this video. But yeah, this is a year before that ghost. TECHNICALLY this also goes for the Mimic, as it shares all of those, plus the Spirit Box. I've seen people trying to retroactively fit the new ghost types to the clues, and cite the walkie talkie is the stand in for Spirit Box. But really, storywise, the needed to give the ghost a voice to do this sort of back and forth set up in the song.
@@airmanon7213 Or the creators of Phasmophobia liked this song so much that Hauntu's a hidden reference to it? If that was the case, that would actually be pretty cool. And, while not in Phasmo, it's not out of the realm of possibility for an indie creator or team to like fan-made content about their games and include easter eggs to said content. Bendy and the Ink Machine is a good example with how the radios have some fan-made songs that you can listen to instrumentals that were tweaked to fit the setting (if needed).
Why do I get goosebumps *EVERYTIME* I hear the lines "It’s freezing cold And several centuries old! It leaves both prints and orbs, Or so I’ve long been told…"
I love that part, specially the last line because it gives you a hint that the man of the radio is actually the ghost, because it can be deduced that he heard in the past another investigators talking about the clues that ghost give
I would like to point out that we only have The Ghosts words on whether there were spirit orbs. The evidence is EMF level 5, finger prints, and freezing temps. Given the line about breaking crosses, this all points to the banshee.
@@twobladedswordsandmauls2120 Assuming the ghost lied about the evidence including the freezing tempt. It can also be a revenant, which makes more sense because it killed everyone.... basically every single public lobby I join xD

yO WAIT so they say the ghost's name at the very very beginning, 'candygram for noah walker', and after that we hear nate's voice on the radio- was them saying the name then the impetus for nate killing and then impersonating the guy in the van? because if so that's fucking genius i did NOT make that connection until now
I just realised a while ago that the dead guy in the van was supposed to be the one on the speaker thing (I forgot it’s name dont judge me :>) and the guy that was actually talking was the “poltergeist”, I felt really stupid after finally realizing that
After much thought i have to agree with the comment section. This is either a beetlejuice ghost or a revenent with a taste for theater. If its the former then no questions asked it makes sense. If it is the latter then hear me out. The ghost gives all the signs of a revenent but it considers each hunt as part of the play. A big show to sing dance and kill. It killed the guy in the truck first so they cant stop the show, it left one guy alive because it needs someone to tell the tale and know what happened. They are his audiance after all. That is also why he shows is ghost writing to the guy who survived and no one else. All the other clues were fabricated because the ghost knows what hunters are looking for and has ways to turn them around. After all, there is no rule that says a ghost can only give three hints and nothing else. Also what would be a better finale than the guy who survived figuring out what happened while the last one to die listens to the ghost, destroys everything that could remotely save him and call the ghost to himself. It is a briliant ending where a hero asks his friend for help after listening to everything he says only for it to end with betrayal and the one who has been helping him, kills him in the last sceen. Truly, a revenent with a most refined taste for the theatrical arts.
@@spartancommander1188 3:17 Yes, not in a book, but it still would count as ghost writing to confirm it as a Revenant. And considering the ghost is the one who says "It is freezing cold," while one of the hunters only stated that the temperature was dropping, that excludes the Banshee, which is the only other ghost with both EMF Level 5 and Fingerprints, which are undeniable conclusions.
I mean... he actually doesn't fake any evidence. He just claims to see orbs when there are none. Fingerprints, EMF 5 and Ghost Writing are the Revs evidence. It wouldn't contradict anything.
I just realized something, during the first attack, the guy in the van wouldn't be able to talk to them. These guys set up the twist in the first chorus and I only noticed it after somewhere around my 15th time watching this
I had that sudden realization in the middle of the song when every single clue to find out what kind of being it was was being found that something different was happening. This is definitely one of my new favourites
Damn- seeing the progression in yall's music composition *and* music videos over the years is taking me down some sort of nostalgic memory lane and all I can say is that I'm really proud of you guys. You've done what most can only dream
This musical gives me the chills but I can't stop watching it. I do like they show the ghost is intelligent enough to have tricked the investigators and kill the man in the truck
I don't think we could have made a musical about Phasmophobia without at least TRYING to give you guys the chills. We're glad you're enjoying it! - Gwen
This was great! When I first figured out you were doing horror, I was a little skeptical. You guys usually do quite a bit of goofy atmospheres when it comes to horror games, so I thought it would be the case with this one as well. I'm glad to see I was wrong. Everyone did fantastic, and the atmosphere of this video got my heart racing. Thanks for a wonderful song that'll be stuck in my head for ages.
It was a bit goofy (with the piled up salt and sheepishly hanging up the phone) but not so much that it would ruin the atmosphere. It was the perfect mix. 😁
Theory! What is Noah Walker used to be a ghost hunter when he was alive? That would explains how he knows all the different ghost types and how to identify them.
Can't be. AJ marked down Freezing Temperatures as one of the pieces of evidence. My money is on Banshee (EMF 5 3:15, Freezing Temperatures 0:53, Fingerprints 2:16.) EDIT: Never mind. I missed that Random Encounters keeps hearting comments that conclude the spirit is a Revenant.
@@brendanj6272 I thought that at first too but after watching a few times Gwen never says it's freezing temps with the thermometer, just that the temp is falling but the ghost writing on the wall that says I lied give us the three evidences of Fingerprints 2:16, EMF 3:15, and ghost writing 3:17. At least that's what I believe 🙂
So anyone who’s played the game would know immediately that he’s bad (whether he’s the ghost or just trying to get them killed) but for anyone who hasn’t played the game it would be a twist ending.
Alright when I heard Natewantstobattle singing, I was like, “hold up, I know that vocie” and as the musical went on, I got more and more confident that it was Nate singing. And at the end when you guys thanked him for joining I was like “HELL YEAH!!!! I KNEW ITTT”
@@SkyShy well, when I saw the notification, I didn’t exactly read the title all the way through because I was just so excited to watch it. So yeah. Lol
I didn't understand the song until now. Basically the ghost/Noah Walker lied saying that he saw ghost orbs after AJ and Gwen reported fingerprints. (He also lied about other things like that saying his name would neutralize him because in Phasmophobia, saying the ghost's name actually angers it. He also lied about burning all of AJ's smudging sticks, destroying the crucifix, and putting out the candle wicks because you actually need those stuff for certain ghosts to keep them away from you.) But he actually never saw ghost orbs. He tricked them into thinking he was a Poltergeist since only Poltergeist evidence includes fingerprints plus ghost orbs when really he was Banshee. Banshee evidence includes fingerprints and EMF Level 5 which Nate found out about near the end, (the EMF was right next to him after he woke up beeping at red which is Level 5). Right after Nate found out, Noah Walker put "I LIED." It all makes sense now! LOL
I'm pretty sure it's a revenant But how did Revenate use a radio ? He must've spirit box but no ghost with EMF 5 and fingerprints have spirit box So yeah it's probably a RevenateWantsToBattle
I know it's wrong, but I like to think it's an Oni. EMF 5, spirit writing (on the wall), and spirit box. If you treat all the other evidence as red herrings, it makes sense. Only problem with this is that Oni's attack groups and the walkie-talkie can be taken as creative license to perform the song so no spirit box. I know Banshee is the popular choice (cold, prints, EMF), but... It should be screaming, not the victims! XP
@@LotoErdrick But consider this: We KNOW Emf Five, We KNOW Fingerprints. But also consider that dirty water was in the kitchen. Banshees always go after a single individual right? If dirty water was in the sink, in the kitchen, how was the person nearest the kitchen not the one dead first?
@@alakaidergal105 Uh...creative licence again? You're right about the EMF and Prints being solid evidence, and he did mark the book when she said falling temp, so it's most likely Banshee. But what throws me off is "why the skull?" Then again, I'm taking it more literally than I should and comparing it to myths. Also, I know there's no "spirit box" in this song, but if a ghost is somehow strong enough to speak into the walkie-talkie then that immediately makes it "spirit box" for me! Kinda wish the game has that feature now...
This ghost is definitely a myling, emf and uv are guaranteed, we know it's not freezing because Noah had the red herring and same with orbs, we can't take the ghost writing as fact though, but mylings are quiet when hunting but noisy when not, sounds exactly like the guy speaking flower the radio, speaking for about half of the lines at least, but after the hunt starts, it gets less frequent except when trying to mislead

I never thought Random Encounters would Make dark musicals! Also, The last time I saw Nate was in Cuphead the musical! I couldn't love this channel even more than this. Thank you!
For anyone wondering, it's basically confirmed the ghost is a revenant. To start of, when the video released they liked comments who pointed this out. Now, for the actual evidences: - Fingerprints - EMF 5 - Ghost orbs were a lie, as the one in the van is the only one who can see them and the ghost is impersonating them. - Spirit box foesn't apply as the ghost uses the walkie talky and speaks clearly. This leaves Banshee and revenant and neither of their evidences appear clearly. I will present that proves it isn't a banshee: - Hunting patterns: while the ghost picked them one by one, it switched targets willingly, as it let one of them live to mock them, proven by the fact that the ghost wrote to him as soon as he woke up. - Crucifix: It works against every ghost, just has a bigger radius against banshees, besides, it wasn't really given any special attention in the part where the protections where being destroyes as it was mentioned in the middle. If it was the last thing mentioned, it would give it a stronger sense of narrative purpouse, which is actually really important in this song, and if the ghost got him to break the other protections in the firts place I don't think he would need to mask the importance of breaking the crucifix by putting it in the middle of the sequence if he was a banshee. I think RE would have given it a more distinguished place if it was a true hint and not a red herring. - Freezing Temperatures: It is never outright stated that the temperatures are freezing except by the ghost, we can never see their breath and Gwen only says that the temperature is falling and they mark on the book a Question Mark and not a Check Mark, which is a BIG tell from a narrative point of view, if you put pose a question and write "?" It is generally a hint that something is not what it seems. The ghost seems to be the one reminding them that the temperatures fell to mislead them into thinking they were falling. But why? - New Ghost: The point of the ghost lying is to ultimately get them to think the ghost is completely new, as it has an unique combination, throwing them off his trail and allowing him to trick AJ onto breaking his protections and leaving himself vulnerable. - Ghost Writting: Despite not appearing in a book, in the final sequence right after the EMF goes off, Writting appears in the wall. While ghost writting doesn't appear in the walls in-game there is no reason to think that it couldn't. While there isn't proof to come to a conclusion with 100% certainty, the narrative devices and the behavior of the crew in the comment section point away from it being a banshee and towards a revenant.
the ghost writing on the wall being right after the EMF 5 also heavily implies that it is also an evidence. the narrative importance of this is that the ghost is revealing to the one hunter what he is to taunt him.
I didn’t even know this was an existing thing, anyways, why was the song like so catchy, I CAN’T DECIDE WHOCH ONE TO LISTEN TO AHHHH, also the beard is one of the prints.
I was figuring out when the van guy got killed and Nate/Noah took over. I compared voices from different lines, and a few other things so somewhere inbetween the lines “A little darkness never killed anyone.” And “Activity in your proximity.” The van guy died (The evidence was, the voice changed, van guy didn’t speak for awhile, protagonist man started talking to them through spirit box, and subtitles appeared, although that could’ve been because that was the first line they were singing. But the font creepy, and was the same font as the text “I LIED” on the walls.) Also that was a big twist that he was dead, it blew my mind, as I saw the bald guy trying to save his friend, but it was too late, and he got killed, it was very terrifying and also a bit sad, as the protagonist said “Noah walker, you’ve murdered my friends.” We can piece together that they cared about eachother and because the bald guy was doing his best to save the protagonist. Great job, RE! At the end I was half frightened and half crying. (Also are we sure they weren’t just beetle juice?)
It has to be almost immediately after they get into the house. One of the first few lines has the person saying that they need to say his name to neutralize him. The guy in the van would have been able to see that it'd ramp up activity. Noah also convinces him to call out his name loudly, so I don't think the guy in the van would have ever said to call the name of: Noah Walker!!
The van man dies at the start cause in phasmophobia if you say the name of the ghost the ghost gets more aggressive but at the start the van man says that if you say the name of the ghost you pacifist him but its not right so the van man dies at the start
Either way, I feel like this team was pretty new. Every single mission, you get that same part on the whiteboard telling you to use it's name to anger the ghost. Everyone on the team should have picked up on that one, so I'm guessing this was a rookie team that hadn't gotten used to dealing with ghosts yet. TBH, having only one survivor at the end, probably fits the survival rate of many players on their first mission or two anyways. Someone had some real cash to afford the sound sensor and tripod, though...
Did you guys notice that the guy on the walkie talkie initially speaks in the musical without subtitles, and then suddenly he has subtitles, in red, out of a sudden before the first incident occurred? My interpretation is that the guy in the van was killed first, then the entity took over and then guided all of the rest of the team to their deaths.
On larger maps (especially on professional), it's actually better to split up. The longer you take to find the ghost's room, the more sanity you lose. So, strangely, the ol' "Never split up" idea doesn't actually work so well in Phasmophobia.
Banshee Strength: Targets one player at a time (that is terrifying) Weakness: The crucifix Evidence: EMF Level 5, Fingerprints, and freezing temperatures
Ya but I don't think the temperature was actually freezing, Noah was the one who said that. The reverent has fingerprints and emf 5 but has ghost writing like we saw on the wall. I tried to find one that had spirit box since it took over the phones, but there wasn't one.
You have a point, I guess it could be a Revenant Strength: Fast when hunting Weakness: Slow when you are hidden EMF Level 5, Fingerprints, and Ghost Writing
Right. I've never played Phasmophobia, but I've decided to look up the ghosts and I'm pretty sure Mr. Walker here is a Banshee. Given that the ghost is impersonating the guy giving people directions, we can safely rule out any type of ghost that is actually mentioned in the song, as Mr. Walker presumably wouldn't want to give hints on how to identify him to the ghost hunters. Ergo, we can safely assume that he is not a Demon or a Poltergeist. It's unlikely to be a Wraith, because Nate had to open the door for the ghost to attack him, and wraiths can pass through doors. It's also not an Oni, because they are apparently most active when players are in a group, and all three ghost hunters were attacked while alone. The fact that the ghost isolates and attacks individual ghost hunters could be indicative of a Shade; however, there's one significant piece of evidence that points to the ghost being a Banshee. Mr. Walker killed the guy giving the others directions in the ghost van. If the ghost hunters didn't notice that, it implies that the ghost van guy died first, and presumably very shortly after the other three left to investigate the house. It is apparently a significant feature of the Banshee that, due to their ability to navigate to a single target and ability to ignore sanity levels when determining its hunting patterns, the Banshee can hunt down players from almost the very start of the game, and target players who are far away from the room it usually occupies. This directly aligns with Mr. Walker's behavior -- as well as the manner in which Nate was attacked immediately after hiding behind a door and thus presumably out of the ghost's line of sight. This immediate hunting behavior is telltale evidence of a Banshee, which would explain why the ghost tried to misdirect the hunters by posing as their assistant. Apparently, they also do leave fingerprints and cause temperature decreases, and are particularly weak to the crucifix -- one of the items that AJ is deliberately misinformed about and instructed to break. It also produces a level 5 EMF, which can be seen on the detector at 3:15. Notably, the Banshee does not leave orbs -- and the presence of orbs is only mentioned by the ghost impersonating the assistant. Sorry this comment is so long, but there's your evidence -- Noah Walker is a Banshee.
Very well done, however you can rule out the wraith much easier due to the footprint in the salt, and wraiths are the only known flyers. But yeah, it’s a banshee.
@@ht8411 I thought about the footprint in the salt also being a way to eliminate the possibility of it being a Wraith, from what I read about them. But then I thought that maybe one of the ghost hunters had stepped in the salt by accident lol
Thank you. I just spent ten minutes scrolling looking for a commemt that mentioned what ghost it really was and yours is so informative and backed by good evidence. This comment is the MVP everyone :3
And shortly after this video they actually added a new ghost that has fingerprints, freezing temps, and ghost orbs. The Hantu who moves faster in cold environments. However they also changed the evidence around, and added the DOTS projector. Prints, writing, and emf 5 is now another new ghost, the Myling. Makes a lot of noise but is quiet while hunting. Which oddly fits with them talking/singing this entire song. On a maybe ironic twist, the Revenant, the canon ghost in this, now actually has both freezing and orbs, as well as writing.
I thought it was pretty cool that Noah walker lied about the ghost orbs and even admit it by doing the ghost writing on the walls. It’s pretty nostalgic coming back nearly 4 years later.
Well technically I think the guy in the van was already dead, so to speak, the ghost might have been giving AJ instructions to help the ghost. Not neutralize it.

@@zenith613 Well, if you notice, the very first line was "Candygram for Noah Walker!". Meaning that they already made it start hunting. He's that one player who triggers the ghost asap. @PsychedelicCharm Basically "Noah walker" bc the real persons name is nate :]
This song had been so clever! Especially that part when an asked "what could we have missed" and the ghost told him to destroy/use up all the tools he had to defend himself and then strengthen the ghost by asking him to call his name louder and louder
The songwriting is A+
They way the story is visually told was clever too. There’s a lot of nods to previous versions and bugs that are infamous (revenant had a lot of them for some reason in earlier versions, for instance. Some even became permanent features, such as instant/high sanity hunt. This was originally a bug of Revenant, became a feature on Banshee, and in the most recent update, was transferred to Demon, which fits well.)
Another bug was that certain ghost types would teleport to the nearest player.
1:30 hey look "alive guys" the party is just begun, he the first to die
Showing the dead body in the van that has probably been like that for a good couple hours and a closeup shot to the walkie-talkie and the fading beat just gives me chills.
It's presented so well and we quickly hear Nate's voice just soon after in Aj's walkie-talkie as we come to the realization.
The backup singing "phasmophobia" just gradually getting louder along with the beat that left earlier I just- I love this alright
I keep replaying that scene its so well done
It gives me the chills on this line
(it’s freezing cold and Several centuries old)
The first time i say it. I got the biggest chills.
When I first heard lyric of phasmophobia I got a huge chill down my spine.
When is this?
Man you really went in on this analysis
I think the Ghost killed the guy in the minivan a bit into the song.
"Speaking like someone in a well lit minivan" could probably have been the "Oh, someone's there?"
Because the ghost didn't kill the first guy, he had to have killed someone during that hunt.

You know how the first victim opened the door. It was the door to the outside and the ghost was coming back from the van, so he killed him!

Anyway let me clear some replies:
Pixar Universe? More like RE musical universe
Ooh, I like that theory
Like the theory that Mark from FNaF the Musical is the same Mark in Resident Enis
It’s the re cinematic universe
What's amazing is Nate's voice sounds good even through a walkie talkie.

Yes, not in a book, but it still would count as ghost writing to confirm it as a Revenant. LOL

I'm pretty sure it's a revenant
But how did Revenate use a radio ?
He must've spirit box but no ghost with EMF 5 and fingerprints have spirit box
So yeah it's probably a RevenateWantsToBattle
If dirty water was in the sink, in the kitchen, how was the person nearest the kitchen not the one dead first?
there was no spirit box
@@alakaidergal105 Uh...creative licence again? You're right about the EMF and Prints being solid evidence, and he did mark the book when she said falling temp, so it's most likely Banshee. But what throws me off is "why the skull?" Then again, I'm taking it more literally than I should and comparing it to myths.
Also, I know there's no "spirit box" in this song, but if a ghost is somehow strong enough to speak into the walkie-talkie then that immediately makes it "spirit box" for me! Kinda wish the game has that feature now...
i think its a banshee
Man the ending is probably the best part ever, I love how it speaks about another ghost that has never been identified and now SAY ITS NAME

Also, The last time I saw Nate was in Cuphead the musical!
I couldn't love this channel even more than this.
Thank you!
For anyone wondering, it's basically confirmed the ghost is a revenant. To start of, when the video released they liked comments who pointed this out. Now, for the actual evidences:
- Fingerprints
- EMF 5
- Ghost orbs were a lie, as the one in the van is the only one who can see them and the ghost is impersonating them.
- Spirit box foesn't apply as the ghost uses the walkie talky and speaks clearly.
This leaves Banshee and revenant and neither of their evidences appear clearly. I will present that proves it isn't a banshee:
- Hunting patterns: while the ghost picked them one by one, it switched targets willingly, as it let one of them live to mock them, proven by the fact that the ghost wrote to him as soon as he woke up.
While there isn't proof to come to a conclusion with 100% certainty, the narrative devices and the behavior of the crew in the comment section point away from it being a banshee and towards a revenant.
remember that Scratches on the wall used to be evidence for Revs before an update to make ghost writing a thing. :D
the ghost writing on the wall being right after the EMF 5 also heavily implies that it is also an evidence. the narrative importance of this is that the ghost is revealing to the one hunter what he is to taunt him.
Yes I totally agree. It is a revenant
Myling would make sense though, EMF 5, Finger prints, Ghost writing, plus they tend to be loud

I can't get over how good this is! From the ghost lying to them at the beginning. To the twist. To just everything! I love this musical a lot!
@@nightlockchatter exactly
@Alexander LeBlanc tbh I thought poltergeist wasn’t harmful, just the prankster type
Talking doesn't seem to have subtitles, even later. only the singing.
I think you're right about that. I figured that might be the case the second the ghost was said to be 'neutralized' by saying it's name.
Ghost: Man, these humans never learn to just stick together.
But it’s not a poltergeist, since it can cut people even tho there isn’t anything sharp and it has a define sharp like a “human” shown in the last bit
@Alexander LeBlanc nice
ITS NOT AMONG US ITS NOT LIKE THEY CAN KICK OFF THE GHOST!
On larger maps (especially on professional), it's actually better to split up. The longer you take to find the ghost's room, the more sanity you lose. So, strangely, the ol' "Never split up" idea doesn't actually work so well in Phasmophobia.
Damn it was shade stupid ghost hunters
What I like is that in the first attack you hear him struggle while talking so it shows that he is the ghosts as he tries to break down the door

Hmmm....
I CANT FIGURE THIS OUT PLEASE TELL ME
I am just going to take your word but good on ya for writing all that
Very well done, however you can rule out the wraith much easier due to the footprint in the salt, and wraiths are the only known flyers. But yeah, it’s a banshee.
@@ht8411 I thought about the footprint in the salt also being a way to eliminate the possibility of it being a Wraith, from what I read about them. But then I thought that maybe one of the ghost hunters had stepped in the salt by accident lol
@@paigeepler4191 acceptable, acceptable.
