Don't see how this is a wake up for Dice when it's pretty much a pure clone of 2042. The only wake up will be when it goes live and everyone jumps over to it for a week before tiring of another bland Tencent published money grab F2P game. After that first week, everyone will be back on 2042. Just my opinion of course. I'm honestly not happy that TeamJade bought the IP for DF and what we are getting is nothing like Delta Force of old. This game has no right to be associated with NovaLogic's franchise.
If this game succeeds, expect DICE to copy it as hard as they can instead of going back to the roots of battlefield. Heroes, a focus on the store instead of the game, etc.

The Map shown was from DF:BHD it was in single player and Multi-player. The team death match map was called Panic Attack A and Panic Attack B. It had other names for other game modes. From what I see, it is pretty damn close to the original. With a few exceptions (cover and a few buildings on the outskirts being angled different), I'm 10000% stoked to get some more old school maps.
Ive been waiting for the perfect extraction shooter. Not as hardcore as Tarkov but less frantic and colorful than DMZ. This looks like it will be right up my alley
@NomaddUK yea I loved the cycle frontier I'm super bummed it shut down. With better anti cheat and more guns it could have been incredible. Hopefully this lasts longer.
Jets are extremely important for me to be in the game. I’m fine with waiting for them and I’m glad they’re planned, so that’s ok. I just hope the console version is fleshed out and the flight dynamics are better than the closed alpha. It seems these playtests are actual playtests that will improve with each version. Very excited about this game and I’m glad they told people who are scared of the concept of operators that it’s not going anywhere and they should give it a chance instead of crying about a game they’ve barely seen halfway done.
Jets have never been done well in Battlefield so I don't know why you would want them here too. They've always been overpowered UFOs hogged up by 140 level no-lifers.

If you dont let people join their favourite server, they don't get familiar with the players and you end up with no community. Playing Battlefield since 1942, the ones that hide the browser or just make it worse, perform worse.

Yup. We never get included in anything it's depressing. I'd assume cause knowing our region we would only get 1 or half a server cause population is so low compared to NA and EU, but the thought of being included would be nice at least..
@@NomaddUK Is there good free VPN's? Plus I'd need an invite first. I'm not sure but wouldn't the keys be region locked? If I got one from Twitch drops it might not let me redeem, and I signed up from Steam so they'd know not to invite outside the selected regions of the playtest.

Everything generally sounds and looks really good. I would just emphasize that for the long-term player health of the game and to capture the BF audience, they really need to get the vehicles/aircraft correct. A big turn off in WW3 and COD's take of BF mode are the vehicle mechanics, they feel silly and floaty (too arcadey). BF has depth because all aspects can be played nearly equally, if you really don't want to be infantry you can play vehicles, and visa versa. This is one of the biggest appeals to BF, Delta needs to nail this. Also, region locking is mandatory.
I feel like as the game develops we will see more stuff like that. They’ll probably have an air vehicle themed season which will add all the jets and scout helis.
I would like to know what they have planned for blocking cheaters/hackers. As we all know, this has been a never-ending problem for nearly all online games.

Not really feeling the specialist system and the fact that it's a 2042 clone. I could just play 2042 if the mood strikes. I am curious to see more on the extraction mode and think that's where the game may stand out more. Of course Arena Breakout is a contender too so we shall see.

They very much copied so much from BF 2042, but also other games. They could have been less obvious but think because these systems are familiar and if the game functions better... It might overtake the game it copied from.
People need to be greatful because there is another game that can give battlefield competition. They have been to lazy and comfortable for too long. More competition means a better bf game so get of your high horses and support this game.

Having said that, I would probably play it and enjoy it, because it's free to play. However, that will bring the cheaters en masse. Didn't COD have this same problem recently with their FTP ?
