How is it that characters like Honda and Ryu look just like how you'd want them to in 3d, and Ken looks... so bad.
ryu chun birdie were main cover characters, they were the ones shown to sell the game. so they had a little more of love and work, chun and ryu still have some unique particles in their special moves that no one else in the cast have
What are you talking about? Only problem with Ken is his face during the prematch screen, during the actual fight Ken looks great.
In game his face looks better, but during the select screen and victory screen(aka the times when his face is the focus) he looks blegh. And he's got banana hair.

@@SuperPeterokViolent Ken is an Easter egg at best referencing a non-Capcom game (SVC chaos if memory serves, and his rerelease in the sf2 remake is just chopped up versions of regular ken's animations sped up, they included him because he was already there, they have no interest in developing a character that doesn't fit the story), I can pretty much guarantee you that you will never see him again. Oro on the other hand, would be absolutely amazing, and is one of the most interesting characters in SF history in my opinion.

Meh the onlybstage that stood out to me most back in the day was Spain Vegas stage since it had a gimmick.
It's because it is so iconic that he is not fan of it. He is disappointed the stage does not look good. Because they just HD'ed the old Honda stage. Nothing new, it looks very safe, exactly the minimum of what you would expect. They put no effort on it. It's mediocre and meh at best. Is it clear what he meant, now?

Honestly there really isn't anything else SF5 needs at this point. What it needs is a 100% overhaul, aka SF6. With all these bangers coming out from Capcom recently, not to mention all the fierce competition within the fighting game market, everyone wants to see a proper Street Fighter 6 with an actual budget and better talent behind it.

Lucia is probably the most interesting for me since I feel like Capcom hardly acknowledges anything from the Final Fight sequels besides Maki.
There is still a lot of moves. she had in Final Fight 3 that they did not throw in SFV, maybe when she fully released, we will see more.
As far as I know Lucia is also the first and only cop character in a Street Fighter game that looks like a cop for a default look.

Dont be excited and hopeful about it... All those characters would most likely look gameplay wise (and some even visually wise) like worse versions compared to old games. Or at least underwhelming for expectations. The general development pattern in this game has been to use a few moveset twists and the flashiness of v-triggers and super cinematics to hide the reality of characters badly put together.

I find it interesting about Honda's new outfit (the one with a long loincloth) I believe it marks him as a Yokozuna, which is the highest rank obtainable as a sumo wrestler, kinda a neat thing for him to have after all these years trying to promote sumo wrestling around the world

I love Lucia, she was my favorite on final fight 3. She has a lot of the moves that she use on that game. I don't think the super is bad, is the same super she does on that game.

Honda looks epic, love the combos and links he has looks like he has alot of style, and his stage is epic.
Just the fact that Lucia from Final Fight 3 is in is a total surprise and it makes me happy. Final Fight 3 is quite underrated amongst beat 'em ups. She was always meant to be sort of a Western style version of Chun Li.

Original Lucia design reminds me of King in KOF (including emphasis on leg moves) so maybe that's why she's having that energetic mood to avoid overlapping too much.

I'm glad that Lucia is finally getting some recognition and Poison is back, but do all companies just casually leave future DLC or releases in game files?
Is there an actual programming reasoning for it or something? Because it's gotten too many reveals spoiled in other fighting games as well.
They have deadlines to meet and they need to make sure the updates are ready to launch at release. These are playable right after Evo, hence why valve has had access to it.

At this point, I think Capcom needs to release a Super SFV. I need new game modes, new stages, new mechanics, and new characters to really draw me back in.
Agreed a new version of the game is well overdue.
But, we are getting new characters and stages. All that's left is a new mechanic really. Which I believe we will get, if not at EVO, then after Capcom Cup.

We already have a Super SFV. It's namely SFV: Arcade Edition🧠🎮
Everybody used to complain about the editions thing, the one time they listen to the fans and look what happens. Then those same people talked shit about Arcade Edition even though it included the first two character passes, and was a free update to SFV owners, thus didn't even have the very thing people were complaining about with the multiple editions, but people are fuckers like that.
Going by arcade dates, Street Fighter 4 was July 2008, Super SF4 was April 2010, SF4AE was December 2010, Ultra was April 2014. Then 5 was February 2016 and AE was January 2018. Going by track record, between 2020 and 2022 would have to be the next edition - let's hope for the best.

If I recall correctly there is a speculated connection between the two characters since in Final Fight 3 Lucia totally has Chun's bird kick.
@@joshualowe1821 Eagle was introduced on SF1. The only playable Final Fight characters we have so far on the entire Street Fighter franchise are Maki, Cody, Guy, Sodom, Rolento, Andore Jr./Hugo, Poison, Abigail, and now Lucia.
They released individual trailers for all of the characters, they’re SLIGHTLY different from the huge leaked one. It really sucks that leaks like this always happens to Capcom, they can’t ever reveal their characters without having something leaked. IMO Poison could use a few minor adjustments to her face, but her gameplay looks amazing. Lucia looks PHENOMENAL, and her accent is 😍 I love it! Can’t wait to try her out. Honda is well...Honda as I remember him, but he’s been SFV’d 😂.

It was slightly confirmed that the story of street fighter 5 was not yet finished. And I really hope that doesn't just mean character stories. Another story mode would be decent enough for me

Characters make the game. I just want more classics favorites to return. Rose, Elena, Makoto, Dudley etc. I want SF6 to be more faster paced however, something like Alpha 3 or 3rd Strike.

Lucia (and her Nostalgia costume) are from Final Fight 3, which was only ever on SNES.
Poison is absolutely mandatory for me to play Street Fighter so it going to be a week of celebration for me now.
She's not as visually stunning this time and her default design is a bit of a miss for me but damn I'm going to love her. The moveset looks hella interesting!
It looked like her dqragon punch was sort of at 45* which makes it a lot more useable if we can choose between that and a vertical one!

I kind-of dig the fact that if you really look at her face you can tell she's a transvestite, because Poison has always been a trans character in the SF games. Like the cheekbones are a bit pronounced, the jawline's a little more pointed, the nose is a bit sharper, etc. It's a nice touch that makes what they're meant to be feel more real as opposed to the other games, where she just looks like a normal hot female character and you just sort-of heard about how she used to be a man.
Not as fond of the new outfit, though. There's not many changes, but the one stocking thing just feels weird, it throws off the contrast a bit and doesn't really fit her more open style, I think.
Anybody notice they dropped seasons and it's the Summer 2019 Character Bundle and not Season 4 Bundle? Maybe we can expect a fall and winter character bundle

I'm on PC and they need to fix those startup times and gamepad problems. Take 15 minutes from opening app to get into main menu for me and I have a decent pc.

I'm a little more optimistic about these characters. I like how they look, and game is still fun to me but just not my first choice. Poison's gameplay looks amazing. It just sucks that they had to come out this way. Ono was heartbroken.

Yes I agree. I don't believe they'll let top 8 go by without announcing something. After 8 months of silence, I feel they've worked on more than just 3 characters.
I would be willing to bet that this leak isn't even accidental. I mean honestly this would be the best marketing stunt to have like 6 characters ready to rock, and 'accidentally' leak 3. I mean, everyone going in expecting to be hype, and getting something good, will be hype, everyone going in expecting to be disappointed and something badass coming out will be SUPER hype, and at the end of the day that's the goal for these releases.
That would have been the most boring reveal They definitely have more in store.

@@IbeCosmicI didn't know that. That might be indicative of nothing more, or they might be doubling-down on the surprise factor. My instinct is leaning toward the more depressing outcome (the one that says there was nothing else planned) here, but it's unreasonable for us to act like we know for fact. In a gaming landscape where everyone jumps to hyperbolic conclusions, I just encourage everyone to have an open mind and wait for the evidence. Keep doing that research, keep finding things out, keep being skeptical, and hopefully were all wrong in the best way possible.
