    The broadcast kinda changed this year, less cinematic and more sport-like. This has been pretty much the standard since.

      Yeah that’s true, the WSOP really had 4 eras…Pre Moneymaker, Monemaker, this period, and then the new WSOP which are just terrible golf like episodes….i love poker but I can’t even stand watching these new episodes

      @@Jukeboksi I am anti-PokerGo too because they have a monopoly on the televised poker industry. Are both the original as aired broadcasts (with the concealed hole cards in 2011-13 for instance) and the condensed versions with the alternate commentary (the ones that are uploaded to this channel) available on PokerGo or is it just one of the versions? If it is just one, where can I find the other ones, or are they completely extinct?

      @@philiptucker7590 I busted maybe 25-30% left. I had an interesting hand I think about because it was so huge. I was chip leader at my table probably 1.7x average stack. There was this younger kid a couple spots to my right that appeared to be one of the best players at the table. He opened utg+1 40BB. I just call with AKo in the in LJ (mostly 3-bet this but decided to play passively against him). SB or BU jams for like 12BB, he calls. I had like 50BB, I decide to back-raise all-in. He tanks and ends up calling with 99s.

    Love how they call other poker players "amateurs." Hot take: there's no such thing as a "professional" poker player. Just because you opt to eschew employment at a position that gives you job security, benefits, etc. doesn't make you a "pro." Professionals are people like doctors, lawyers, engineers, architects, firefighters, police, emergency, etc. Sports somewhat fall into this category for me. But poker does not. I've seen countless videos of "amateurs" and everyday folks busting these people at big events.
    The element of luck is too great to overcome as a factor in this game, and as such anyone who labels these people as pros probably needs to reevaluate their opinion.

    • @sayeourselves
      @sayeourselves 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I disagree maybe over a range of under 500k hands played does luck have a big percentage, but once you start hitting the 5 million hands played, luck is not a factor

    • @shukuladay8883
      @shukuladay8883 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Luck does not play a big factor in the long run, that’s why the same pros keep winning year in and year out. There are professionals, and there are amateurs. Simple.
