Sad music has always made me happy. The more depressing the better. Sometimes lost love, sometimes family, or life in general. This is totally amazing music to me. Much better than I imagined :) PS,,, I also love Happy lyrics with sad Music OR... Happy music with Sad Lyrics.

I've been a Beach House fan for over 10+ years. Their music has gotten me through some tough times and I finally got to see them live for the first time last month in Charlotte. It was incredible. This band never disappoints and with this B-sides and Rarities album, they've done it again. Thank you BH.
Beach House (and Radiohead, for that matter) are some of the only bands who can release entire b-side albums and I would be as excited as if it were new material.
Suede's Sci-Fi Lullabies is as good an album as you're likely to hear and it's all b-sides. And as much as I don't like them these days, back in the day The Verve released some amazing EPs with great b-sides, as good as their album material.
It's an evident sign of the depth of quality when the span of great songs by an artist/band, permeates well into the B-sides. Beach House is definitely in that creative category. Enjoy the sounds that make a band its own identifyable brand and presence.
Here i am, a lost teenager in the world, in the middle of fire, remaining with no parents - both far, far away from me. This world is a mess, where MONEY is the factor that breaks families and the world itself. Beach House is the best method to escape, for a period of time, from this hell. This album took me to some peaceful locations, on the quiet streets of London, the Carpathians Mountains and on the shore of the Pacific Ocean. Every Beach House album is a true masterpiece, and thank you - Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally for this.
Madalina Triboi When you feel yourself aching from all. Having depression, bad thoughts and forgetting everything that you are. Listening to this while looking at the world at 4 am in Greece.
Anoud AlWabel my gf left me after being together for 6 yrs. Its the hardest thing ive ever had to deal w/. Beach house is the only thing that is keeping me sane.
its like you havent streamed a song in your life. and what are you trying to inply from this comment? hes just showing gratitude to sub pop how they uploaded the entire release onto youtube. sheesh... chill out
An update on seeing Washed Out: Got to meet Ernest Greene and he was really nice and took a picture with me despite being in a rush to get backstage! I was hanging around the bathrooms before they came on and they just so happened to be connected to the backstage area. So I saw him pass me as he went to go on stage and I thought, "Holy shit! Was that Ernest!?" A few seconds later I hear the crowd screaming and the band start playing, which obviously confirmed my suspicion. Knowing that he would pass by the bathrooms again, I told my girl to come with me to the bathroom after the encore was about to end. Smart move on my part and it really made the night unforgettable. Cheers guys!
What do you mean through the works of other artists? B Sides are songs released with a single to go on the other side of the record, which usually don't end up on the album, or just unreleased songs. I think you're thinking of covers
"Wherever you go" sounds like a sweet graduation song. 🥺😭 I wish I knew this song after my highschool graduation. On a second thought, I might have listened to this song after my college graduation because It was 2013.
Really into this xylophone intro on the "Used to be" single version. Not a fan of the thick distorted lower octave guitar from the beginning of the first chorus to the outro, but this does give the clear conclusion to outro more contrast to the first few minutes of the song. Feel that outro may have been able to build up to a climax a little better. I feel like it could have went somewhere. Need to listen to it more, cause as of now I think I still might prefer the original more so, but an interesting take on this song. This must have come out before the album version then, right?
Used to Be was released as a single months before Teen Dream came out. There is an interview where they felt that the Used to Be single didn't fit the sound they were reaching for, so they made a new version for the album.
This album is another continuation of beautiful music that Beach House makes. The building of the songs are smooth. I went to Sub Pop and ordered every album in digital. They made it very easy to order. Thank you Sub Pop for the youtube full album but everyone should pick up a copy for their phone or computer. I also found out that they will be performing in New Mexico September 25th. I will be going. Beach House is some of my favorite music.
Beach House's music is awesome (and I'm not saying that just because i live on the coast lol) and even more so this being an official stream from Sub Pop instead of the usual unofficial version of music someone puts up on TH-cam. Very cool indeed!
Way back when I heard Apple Orchard aired for the first time on radio, I knew something special was about to happen. It continues to happen every time Beach House awake. Long live Victoria and Alex.
Chariot is one of my favorite Beach House songs... sometimes I wish music was more random like this song... like, surrealism... the feeling of depth and hidden meaning... songs are pretty straight forward .. if not too straight forward, majority of time... this song feels like it could've come out an alternate dimension of Beach House
With any other band it would seem absurd to call a b sides record your favorite, but beach house is so consistent you could make that argument for every single release theyve had imo
Their B-sides and Rarities are better than most of the trash i hear on the radio these days. I've followed these guys since 2006. I've grown and matured with them. And their tunes have helped me through some hard times. Can't ask for more.
beach house depresses me into a happy state... I don't know how else to say it
That is called 'Depression Cherry" it is normal to experience it while listening to Beach House.
Melancholy, maybe.
Sad music has always made me happy. The more depressing the better. Sometimes lost love, sometimes family, or life in general. This is totally amazing music to me. Much better than I imagined :) PS,,, I also love Happy lyrics with sad Music OR... Happy music with Sad Lyrics.
Like Neil Diamond says in Song Sung Blue. "And before you know, start to feeling good
You simply got no choice". He understood the concept even then.
we’re emotional addicts

The most consistently mind blowing band I have ever heard
I've been a Beach House fan for over 10+ years. Their music has gotten me through some tough times and I finally got to see them live for the first time last month in Charlotte. It was incredible. This band never disappoints and with this B-sides and Rarities album, they've done it again. Thank you BH.
lived my dream
Chariot is perfect!
I feel a certain melancholy, a hazy feeling
you've done it again, beach house... there is a before and after in my life every time you get together.
thank you.
Beach House (and Radiohead, for that matter) are some of the only bands who can release entire b-side albums and I would be as excited as if it were new material.
yes! ive always said this about radiohead.
t4exanadu For me Aurora could do the same

Yo los escuché a los 12 años,ya casi cumplo los 18,literalmente e crecido escuchando su música y me da mucho orgullo jajaj

Sub Pop winning my heart everytime they post a new video, especially full albums. You guys rock 👍👍
This is my heaven on earth.
What's your favourite song? or Top 5? Impossible to choose one.
Top 5 in no order because that's just impossible. Chariot, Somewhere Tonight, Myth, Bluebird, Wildflower.
It's an evident sign of the depth of quality when the span of great songs by an artist/band, permeates well into the B-sides. Beach House is definitely in that creative category. Enjoy the sounds that make a band its own identifyable brand and presence.
Saturn Song is amazing... wow...
Here i am, a lost teenager in the world, in the middle of fire, remaining with no parents - both far, far away from me. Madalina Triboi When you feel yourself aching from all. Having depression, bad thoughts and forgetting everything that you are. Listening to this while looking at the world at 4 am in Greece.

Wow, this is the Queen cover I never knew I needed
Wherever You Go, was a hidden track on the Bloom CD. Was so happy when I discovered it
If Beach House music is like a dream, then the remix of 10 Mile Stereo is a dream within a dream!
Breathtaking
I wish I was born a sound
A Happy Life in a beach house song
Yes you would have made alot of people happy in this otherwise sometimes sad world
You are a sound, you are light, you are EVERYTHING! Isn't it magical? :-)
Why do I love this sentence?
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SINCE 2016
Her voice is just beautiful ❤️
I love this band. Really underrated.

Amazing album! any fans of Washed Out here as well? his Mister Mellow released today too! love this day!
Saw Beach House last month, seeing Washed Out the 10th of next month. Both are wonderful.
An update on seeing Washed Out: Got to meet Ernest Greene and he was really nice and took a picture with me despite being in a rush to get backstage! I'll wait this night to fall down slowly with their music...
Had my birthday 4 days ago. definitely one of the best birthday presents :) thank you, Beach House
you should have thanked sub pop
I love B sides so much. It’s always such a wild journey to hear artists expressing themselves through the works of other artists.
What do you mean through the works of other artists? B Sides are songs released with a single to go on the other side of the record, which usually don't end up on the album, or just unreleased songs. I think you're thinking of covers
@@isaiahromero9861 talking about Play the Game which is a cover which is why it's not on a regular album
@@Patryc oh ok. Sorry if I sounded rude lol, play the game is a fantastic cover
@@Patryc Even covers can go on regular albums -- Some Things Last a Long Time was a cover too :)
i like that wherever you go is last. that w/ irene are two of my favorite beach house songs and it caps off both bloom and bs&r so well
"Wherever you go" sounds like a sweet graduation song. 🥺😭
I wish I knew this song after my highschool graduation.
On a second thought, I might have listened to this song after my college graduation because It was 2013.

Her voice at 15:33 is so good it makes me cry

but this masterpiece comes up

Equal Mind and this version of Used to be following each other are 8 minutes of pure bliss.

Eu diria o mesmo, mas não consigo ouvir the arrangement completo pq acho mto ruim, mas de resto é tudo mto bom
Encantado de escucharlo.

Rain in Numbers is totally my favorite. Wow
Wow, it's my least favorite. White Moon!
I love music so goddamm much.
16:55 I still don't know what they're saying, I can only hear "why, poopy on my back?" over and over.
Rain in numbers gives me a clocks by Coldplay vibe with the piano. Song was such a journey off mushrooms
