My friend!! What a treat this was for me! I saved this video to savor when I had the time to REALLY watch and enjoy it, and boy have I! In the unmitigated chaos of life currently you are a safe harbor and a refilling of my cup! So thank you so much for taking the time to make these inspirational videos, I suspect you may not realize the difference that you make in some of our lives! Cheers to you my lovely friend keep being your wonderful unique self! Hugs from across the pond❤❤❤
Oh my Lovely ~ your kind words have really been beautiful to read and I can't tell you how much I appreciate all your support with what I do! Thank you for taking the time to tell me ~ it means the world! xxx
Thank you dear Tara for the lovely video clips of our shop in Battle High Street. So glad you enjoyed your jolly in Battle. I look forward to seeing you again soon! 🥰😘
the moment you said the poisoner's tale was set in italy I was immediately like "Oh, acqua tofana" hahah. @ Anyone in the comments here, even if you dont read the poisoner's tale book book specifically I do encourage you to read up about her. I don't think tara mentioned but Guilia was a real person who really did make poisons disguised as cosmetics. Interesting woman.
Dame Elizabeth Blackadder was an Edinburgh based artist, if you are ever up in Edinburgh there are a number of her works at both the National Galleries of Scotland and the Scottish Gallery in South St. David Street.
I truly enjoyed watching your week in July vlog! It was such fun to see what all you did and the books you're reading or planning to read. I really hope you get some sunny days soon to wear your pretty dresses though! I'm in the north west of Spain at the moment and we also have a lot of rain here but there were a couple sunny days. Wishing you a lovely summer Tara ✨!
Omg I have a portuguese version of the sewing guide! It was recently gifted to me by a relative who found it in a vintage shop. It is an awesome book! It has so much information I actually wondered if it was also available in other countries 😊
Lovely vlog Tara. We went to a lavender farm on holiday. Had a lavender cream tea and lavender chocolate. Both gorgeous. I hope your flare up passes soon. X
Your videos are off the scale gorgeous right now! A treat for the eyes, I look forward to rewatching. I always love your shopping hauls of little domestic luxuries 🖤
Where to start? I was sure your dress was vintage if not it's stunning. You are my kind of shopper! Anything by Tracey Chevalier is worth reading. She writes about strong and interesting women. I love your blog.
All the books sound wonderful. Hopefully you are knee deep into characters and tea today while being transported to another world. The crocheted battle men cracked me up. Thanks for all you do.
Fab video as ever ❤ Bookrecommendation most welcome 🙏 I am back on a Portsmouth to London daily commute so much needed. I still need to make the Greta - I feel a black version would solve a major wardrobe gap but struggling to find a nice black fabric! Might be worth trying the Urban Decay Ultimate Ozone Multipurpose Primer Pencil for your Lippy - I have major runny allergy eyes at the mo & stops my eyeliner running down my crevices😂 so worth a shot ❤
So glad you enjoyed and found the book recommendations useful! A commute is the perfect reading opportunity. And thank you for the recommendation ~ I shall look out for it!
Lovely to see the Turtle Doves cashmere fingerless gloves as they are made in my local town. Really enjoyed following your week and your book recommendations.
Thank you,Tara. I love these visits.🌻The lipstick you wore to the book launch suits you very well. A recent read which I thoroughly enjoyed was Andrew Miller's "Now we shall be entirely free".🌷
I'm loving your vlog episodes! So beautiful, peaceful, and creative! Adding A Poisoner's Tale to my reading list. Also, I do love your raspberry lipstick, what's the brand and color please?
Hello! I just started watching your podcast a month or so ago and I absolutely love it. I like to put it on while I sew. Have you read the book The Other Side of Mrs Wood? It's historical fiction about mediums in Victorian London. I really enjoyed it.
Thanks for sharing your books. I really love your Greta dress and recently purchased the pattern on your website and am planning to make the top version in a black broderie anglaise that I purchased from Ditto Fabrics in Brighton. I'm currently reading Roald Dahl Ghost Stories that is a collection of short ghost stories that Roald Dahl chose from different authors that he enjoyed and decided to compile into this book. Have you read that one?
Thank you for such lovely feedback! I hope you enjoy the Greta and a black broderie anglais versions sounds sublime! I might one too! I haven't come across this book but thank you for the recommendation ~ it's now added to my list!

19:52 I understand. I have a short waist and no defined waist like my mum and it can make buying clothes especially pants frustrating lol
It's very frustrating isn't it!
