That's a fair critique. Talking with the devs though it's intentionally that way. They (or at least Cyrus) likes the idea of having amazing paths that only people who are very committed to the mod will find.

I briefly remember a mod for equestria at war that was called something like : "The Victorian Mod" where victorian era british empire had somehow found a way to portal into the lands of equestria, and I must say, i would love for you to make or play a mod like that where a historical-human country of any era, lets say for an example, the 1940s USA, invades equestria

God, I am SO Hyped for when this releases. The Kirin were by far my most anticipated feature coming to EaW, with how amazing the recent additions (especially North Zebrica) have been I expect so MUCH FUN, and SO MUCH replayability. Especially looking forward to having over 9,000 civil wars to achieve peak evil country.
