  • This video demonstrates a simple repair scheme for a vintage speaker cone.Very old speakers usually incorporate a paper cone which can become extremely fragile with age. This fragility means they can be damaged very easily, usually tears of some kind.We show how to repair a damaged speaker cone with some tissue paper and PVA adhesive.
    Enjoy!

Handy guide, will keep this one bookmarked for when the inevitable small child poking finger through speaker cone happens on my hi-fi

Thank you for the guide sir! I am looking ways to repair my small pc desktop speaker and this is probably the way to go. One question though, can i use instant glue?

thanks for advice.. I ll try this way.
Would be good to laminate whole speaker just with PVA? I was just thinking it would make them stronger...

Might be worth a try but would ensure it is a very thin coat. Don't want to make speaker cone stiff!

It's PVA adhesive (not PBA) - solvent free and waterproof once cured.
