I’m not giving the spoilers as to who died. In this last battle between the emperor and WU Zu. I will definitely wait if the ending is the same as the novel
I can only wish the Emoeror the lone one to die but it would be boring to the story. If it were possible to have 6 fathers that protect you-how great life could be!

Don't worry. Fan Xian did not die in the end. It was a happy ending for Fan Xian and his family. (I read the novel the drama was based on online).

Drama has Sci-Fi elements. It is not cyclops. Wu Zhu supposedly is a robot with laser eyes that can kill. But that was not exposed until the very end.
