Latter-day Saints are a covenant-centric faith, led by the oft-repeated messages of President Russell M. Nelson to continue “on the covenant path.” But what is this covenant path, and how is it a Restoration of “the covenants of the Father of heaven unto Abraham” (1 Nephi 22:9)? In this episode, BYU professor of Ancient Scripture, Kerry Muhlestein, shares insights from his recent publication to help us better understand the blessings that come to those who enter and live the Abrahamic covenant.

I did a word study reading through the scriptures paying attention to the word remember. It's almost always directly tied to covenants. From remember the sabbath to keep it holy to O, remember, my son, and learn wisdom in thy youth; yea, learn in thy youth to keep the commandments of God.
It's almost everywhere.

💛Thank you… Fasting for those who are seeking truth that they may begin the covenant path through baptism and confirmation with the gift of the Holy Spirit. To be one of God’s “chosen” people is available to any who desires to choose to follow Jesus Christ. And to remain chosen into eternity is to endure to the end of mortality on that covenant path. What an incredible comfort to have such peace and hope available to us that we can return to Heavenly Father’s presence to go no more out but live in never ending joy 💛
