Listening to you is like you're telling my story with my oldest son who was diagnosed with Autism, depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder at age 6. So many years with frustration until we had answers because his symptoms weren't "text book". So far what his therapist has told us is that some children have multiple symptoms and not necessarily fit into that box. So glad to see you again ❤

I adopted my son. I knew he was physically handicapped but I wasn't aware of other issues. He was never diagnosed but clearly had sensory issues. I couldn't run the vacuum for at least two years. I had a stickshift and he thought I was hurting the car every time I would shift. Getting him to keep his seatbelt on was a gargantuan task. And I think he had about 5 meltdowns a day for the entire first year! But he is the most awesome human being on the face of the planet! ♥️♥️♥️

2 of my kids have HFA and one has ADHD as well. One of them wasn't diagnosed until the age of 8 because the symptoms didn't get worse until 6-8 yrs. Both of them have SPD but have really overcome it. They really only have food texture issues which can be tough lol! One of them is 18 about to graduate and with lots of IEP meetings, teaching self advocacy and me being his advocate since the age of 8 really is the key :) It's so overwhelming I know but with good communication with his school and therapists and being mama bear and being his voice..he will be just fine :) I followed you since your skin surgery and I had GB and skin removal too almost 8 yrs ago and I'm glad I did it to keep up with all 5 kiddos!

I was wondering what happened to you. I followed you back several years ago prior to having my own gastric sleeve surgery. You helped motivate me to go through with it and I'm so happy you posted updates and you're doing well.

YAY...you're back! You were one of the first YT people I watched regularly and you influenced me greatly in preparation for my own sleeve surgery. Consider yourself hugged.

My daughter was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. She is now 7 and I can completely understand how you felt. Im pretty sure I've cried just as much as she had at one point. The first few years were super difficult but so worth it because I love her more than anything in this world. Road is still bumpy, but getting better each and every day ♡

I loved watching you back when I was getting ready and had my surgery in 2013. I understand how hard it is to be a mom sometimes. Glad to see you back.

My son has the exact same diagnosis! You are definitely on the right track with intervention. My son is now 10 and is doing wonderfully. Early intervention is key to helping our little ones. Thanks for your update. I have been subscribed for years and just recently happened to wonder where you have been! Thanks for sharing.

@@Kellawanda My son was diagnosed with ADHD, SPD, and ODD PDD/NOS. We started at the age of 3 to get help. By 4, we were doing intensive 3 days a week occupational therapy for several months along with behavioral therapy. By 5, we also started medication and had an IEP for school.

His vocabulary was off the charts and still at 10, he is in excelled programs. It seems that the only thing that hinders him at times is the behaviors and distractions of adhd and spd at heightened times.

    So glad you are back!!!
I just about fell off my chair when I got the notification lol
I feel you, life is not easy and you have to go through each stage before you move on to the next, if you jump any, you may not get the results you were looking to get. Glad you are alive and well. Can't wait to hear about your sleeve. Congrats on your babies, I also deal with my 10 year old who has some sensory issues too, not easy, but we pull through.
Can't wait to watch more of your videos!!!

    1. I am SO glad you're back!! Your videos helped me so much when I first had VSG 7 years ago!
    2. My daughter (15) has AD/HD, SPD, learning disorders, and behavior disorders. I 110% empathise with what you have lived with! We didn't have any diagnosis until she was 8! If you ever want to chat about our kids, feel free to message me anytime!

From one fellow mom to another I and your babies thank you for breast feeding. Mother's milk is the ideal nutrition for growing infants. Breast milk is loaded with antibodies that help your baby fight off viruses and bacteria. Best of all breastfeeding is completly FREE!
