@@mercynik2019 this was in my final year exam, and about 50% of the exam was covered within these videos, some came from online MCQ websites like samfoundary, javatpoint etc you can watch GATESMASHERS on youtube as well.

can I say, the physical layer is the most bottom layer in the OSI model that convert the digital data into signals and decides which transmission medium(guided or unguided) is to use, which encoding technique is to use for electrical signal transmission and which transmission mode is to use, simplex, half or full-duplex medium?

hi, your question is really good. according to me, multiplexer or demux is a DEVICE which get connected, hence it comes under the category of physical layer whereas multiplexing is a WAY OR A PROCESS OF CONNECTION hence it falls in the category of transport. thank you.
