Our Dominican Republic//Punta Cana Holiday 2022

An amazing week away in the Caribbean, just what we needed after 2 years with no long haul holiday...
We met some amazing people, Stevie and Susie the first night whilst trying to take a selfie by the lit up heart, and then we spent the week chatting and laughing .....will stay friends I know,
Everyone was lovely and two Canadian couples were so much unto laugh in the pool with...
We flew with British Airways staying at Melia Punta Cana Adults only beach resort, it was beautifully maintained.

Your vlogging was great, really helped us size up the hotel. Were going in September in a premium room wondering if it's worth upgrading to The Level? Did you up grade to the Level and if so £ and was it worth it. also any recommendations on restaurants? Love that you are from the UK, not many videos from England. 😄

Hi we upgraded once there to the Level, but most people had upgraded at home and had a butler and a better room etc we loved our room though it was fine, but think the but;ears can be annoying even though they are lovely, we paid 60 US dollars per day for two people and we did use the Level private beach, pool and restaurant with roof bar more than anywhere
We were told to book restaurants asap and although we arrived on a Sunday night (apparently people book Sundays early lol) but we still managed to get the rest of the week booked.
Our favourite restaurant was the Italian the service was brilliant, we think they are all good but we always avoided the buffet in the evening….bit “canteen like”
The lunch buffet was great though but we also used the level for lunch and that was nice.
The level beach area is lovely but you do need to get up early to get the lovely cabanas as the butlers get there at 6!

Great video, thanks for posting! We are going to the adults Riu Macao in October, so it was great to get a feel of what to expect! I notice you took a block plug. Was it a voltage adapter, and did you try any hair hot brushes / hair dryers in it? I don’t know whether to invest in a dual voltage new hot brush (not much choice on Amazon), or if what you did would work ok? Any advice? Cheers xx

Hi. So I love my Dyson Airwrap but knew it wouldn’t even work due to the voltage so I used the hotel hairdryer but had bought myself the Dyson Corrale so it charged maybe slower but when I used it charged obvs was like using it at home…. I recommend it although hair always drops in the humidity! Lol

Awesome video! Hi wanted to know for the pool bar is that on the adults only side or the carribe side? Which leads me to possibly another question lol…can anyone go to both areas? We’re going in November at the adults only location. Thanks

Yes if you’re going to the adults only side you can go to the family side, in fact quite a few restaurants are on the family side so you’ll have to go there for those. The pool bar is in the adult side for everyone not just the Level side, not sure if there was a family side pool bar, I’m assuming there must be as parents will still want /NEED alcohol haha. Hope that is a helpful answer unless I read the question wrong lol xxxx
