Back in the mid-1980s my Uncle John Kauo, the Sr. Manager and reported to Mrs. Guslander, put me and my girlfriend into the Queen's Suite. It was huge with an outdoor shower that was open to the sky, encased in lava rock. The suit was near the Queen's Pool where, as a kid, Big John would assign someone to be the lifeguard while me, my sister, and our Kapaa cousins would hang out while our Mom's went shopping in Lihue. They were great memories and I have most of them on DVD now after I converted the 8mm movies.
