The Arabs had conquered those countries prior to the Mongols and stayed there for four centuries. The Arabs were kicked out of Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, in 1122, when David IV aka David the Builder defeated them and made Tbilisi the capital of Georgia. It was mostly just Arabic copies of Classical Greek philosophy & derivative works & commentators, which was already preserved in the original language in Byzantium.
Before Constantinople was sacked by the moslems in 1453 all the intellectuals fled to the West, taking the manuscripts when them. The rediscovery of this in the Latin West is what triggered the Renaissance.

The Muslims in Iberia and Morocco were busy fighting with the Spanish
Algerians and Tunisians were known for its extreme regionality, and so, they wouldn't be able to send an army.
The only nation which could help was the Mamluks, but the Mamluks took control of the Nation recently, and were also involved in fightings with the Mongols in the Levant, so, defending Baghdad wouldn't be worth for them.
The Abbasids should've surrendered to the Mongols, even if they got the most support realisticly possible, they wouldn't be able to defeat the Mongols, so a surrender would mean more than honour and control.

Ancient archive lost in Baghdad library blaze
This article is more than 21 years old
    Oliver Burkeman in Washington
    Tue 15 Apr 2003 16.59 BST
As flames engulfed Baghdad's National Library yesterday, destroying manuscripts many centuries old, the Pentagon admitted that it had been caught unprepared by the widespread looting of antiquities, despite months of warnings from American archaeologists.
But defence department officials denied accusations by British archaeologists that the US government was succumbing to pressure from private collectors in America to allow plundered Iraqi treasures to be traded on the open market.
Almost nothing remains of the library's archive of tens of thousands of manuscripts, books, and Iraqi newspapers, according to reports from the scene.
The American Council for Cultural Policy, a New York-based coalition of about 60 collectors, dealers and others, had received "no special treatment," the official insisted, despite reports that members of the group met with Bush administration representatives in January to argue that a post-Saddam Iraq should have relaxed antiquities laws.

We have never attacked India throughout our history, from ancient times to the Middle Ages until today, so do not compare the Iraqis to the rest of the Muslims because when the Abbasid Caliphate took over, all the focus of the Caliphs was on developing the Iraqi cities and developing education and health until that time became the “golden age” of Islam, and in fact it was the golden age of Iraq only, and even all the non-Iraqi scientists studied in Iraq and spread their sciences from Iraq.
In fact, there are ancient trade relations between Mesopotamia and India since the time of the Babylonians until today.

When you compared the destruction of your science center to the destruction of our science center, it was as if you were indirectly saying that the Iraqis deserved what happened to them because someone from the same religion destroyed our science center. In fact, I have never read or seen anyone say that the Abbasid Caliphate attacked India once. On the contrary, we traded more than we invaded, unlike other Muslim peoples.
When you compare like this, remember that the Mongols killed thousands or even more than two million innocent Iraqis and destroyed our civilization, and we are still affected by this Mongol invasion until this moment.

When the Mongols entered Baghdad, the Tigris River in Baghdad turned black because of the ink, as they threw all the books, treasures of knowledge and recorded discoveries into the river. They destroyed the capital of science and knowledge, Baghdad, at that time. It is not a tragedy for some because they used to saw it in 2003 when the Americans invaded Baghdad and killed more than 1 million civilians because of a lie launched by their president about the existence of nuclear weapons destruction.
