Well a large part is because he is a weird place power wise too strong to fight most characters yet too weak to stand a chance against top tiers so he either stomps or is stomped
The disaster curses really do be the versus battle equivalent of the six paths of pain. They serve as gateway match ups and if you can handle them it’s safe to consider you apart of the “ strongest in the verse”
Except that combat mechanics have been explored in much more detail in Naruto. We have a clear understanding how chakra and ninjutsu work, as well as Nagato's capabilities, limit, at least vague idea of chakra levels etc. In JJK, the combat mechanics are all extremely vague. Some of it is due to even the characters knowing little and exploring the origins of Jujutsu (and what "real Jujutsu" as Sukuna put is even is) is part of the story. Everything we know about curse techniques and combat mechanics in JJK is very "patchy" and vague and we don't have a clear understanding of anything really. At the same time there are also not that many characters and displays of powers (of varying degrees) as well as not that many fights. Take Jogo for example: He got stomped by Gojo, then one shot Kento, Naobito and Maki then got destroyed by Sukuna. It doesn't really tell us much. The best piece of information we have to actually gauge Jogo's strength is the fact that Kenjaku said he's strength is worth 9 fingers. But how many fingers worth of strength could the average grade 1 sorcerer even handle? Power scaling in JJK is pretty pointless. Our understanding of combat mechanics and actual power levels is way too low and there are not enough characters to begin with. It's like...you're either "Top5/10" or you are weak to average at best.
Mahito: Blue Mage, Onion Knight, and other versatile classes with broken hax that become super broken if you invest into them. Maki: That exploit where if you keep your starting weapon until the end of the game and upgrade it fully, you can get a super weapon with the highest stats in the game.
Something that irks me is that people downplay Mai's cursed technique, but we have to keep in mind that her technique uses a lot of cursed energy, and Mai has a small pool because of her connection to Maki. Keep in mind in Mai's final moments she created a sword that is a replica cursed tool which can directly attack an opponents soul. That's insane.
Yeah, ppl easily forget. Imagined what if she have more ce. She probably could recreate special grade tools with various curse technique, like IsOH. Even Maki/Toji is pretty useless in offense without cursed tools

Despite that, her technique is also explicitly noted to take a very high amount of cursed energy even with just one bullet. A 1st grade sorcerer could probably make 12 to 15 bullets and then run out of cursed energy.
Yes, Mai was Grade 3. One of the lowest sorcerers, she had only above civilian levels of curse energy; there was no way for Mai to properly use her curse technique with such a low amount of curse energy because she was a twin.

But if we downplay V0 Rika to the max, we can say that she’s relative to Year 3 Gojo, since Geto specifically saw year 3 Gojo and knows all his abilities, but concludes that Rika can beat a hypothetical year 3 Gojo with 10 years of training (V0 is 10 years after hidden inventory) Year 3 Gojo > Awakened Year 2 Gojo And then, we have a Bloodlusted, Prime Toji in Shibuya being relative in speed to a 3 Finger Sukuna who was nerfed by having no heart and also holding back on top of that, while Base Yuta and Partial Rika were compared to 15 Finger Sukuna’s Shibuya feats. Yes an abundance of curse energy mean more strength if applied properly but that physical strength/speed can’t see maki/toji who were definitely faster than naobito and naoya but since they aren’t “sorcerers” no one gave toji his flowers except naoya and gojo.
@@ggfresh5483 Yea Maki can move at speeds up to if not faster than Mach 3 since she kept up and even blitzed curse Naoya at his maximum speed. So if yuta doesn’t have feats that support him being able to perceive or react to attacks moving this fast than that gives us a better idea of her scaling.
Even when Awakened Dagon literally decimated a Special Grade 1 and two Grade 1 sorcerers (yes, I believe Maki is on par with a grade 1 sorcerer), the moment Jogo shows up they immediately remark that Jogo is on a different level compare to Dagon. So he can pretty much solo everybody in the story beside Special Grades.
Off topic here. I'm quite sure Naobito got pissed drunk because he knew he was going to croak. Out of all the Zenin, he was the only one who could speak formally to Toji. I believe Toji didn't annihilate the clan due to the following: A) Toji respected Naobito. B) Toji was thinking of Megumi's future like it was implied. C) Naobito was a grand negotiator and mediator, and kept Toji somewhat tame with promises of taking care of Megumi. And he did keep his promise; even going so far as to make Megumi the head over his own son. RIP to the man who drunkenly kept his clan alive.
Wasn't it implied that Naobito was the one that Toji was talking to on the phone about selling Megumi? Their interactions in Dagon's domain and how Naobito actually kind of helped Toji during their fight show that neither Naobito or Toji have an outright "kill on sight" hatred for eachother

Also its crazy how jogo took a point blank red from adult gojo with minimal damage meanwhile toji got hit by awakened teen gojo's red, blocked it, and was still bleeding and they used that as a point to show how good maki/toji's durability is So is it impressive to tank red or not???

Maki probably my favorite character in the entire series. She starts off as someone you root for because of her situation and you watch her develop into a complete annihilating machine. I wonder what role she'll play in the battle with Sakuna now that Yuta has reentered. I doubt she can do much because Yuta is stronger than her, and Sakuna is stronger than both of them combined, with Yuta probably being able to annoy him like Yuji can. Even still, Maki is the greatest. I respect her and Yuta so much for what they've accomplished.
I originally liked her because I like strong female characters that aren’t afraid to box . Then I wanted her to get stronger from there . I also loved she was the underdog to some but other acknowledged her as more than what ppl gave her credit for .

Just finished watching, & can say this is by far the most accurate video I've seen on Maki since her 2nd "awakening" that doesn't instantly downplay her abilities. The general analysis/explanation of all 5 of these characters abilities also kept it interesting to watch 👍
I wanna point out Maki isn´t faster than before at all with the sumo awakening. She´s expressively being able to outmaneuver him because of her improved perception, letting her know his constant position and that of her surroundings perfectly. Wanna also mention Jogo´s domain is a volcano. And his abilities do summon magma. So his domain would just create a battle field that passively harms Maki.

Maki/toji has to consent to be in a domain, just like how she materializes in Noaya domain, so jogo domain won’t be a issue, she won’t be trapped inside For precog to work, you need to have relative speed to your preception or the ability is useless. She outpace curse Noaya in mid air with no leverage to dodge but did so anyway. We see curse noaya a few ft from maki in mid flight but she still dodged implying she’s faster then before….this is consistent for jjk characters, when they gain confidence, a rage boost or a better mindset, they physically become stronger, for example: Choso & yuji couldn’t touch noaya but when yuji left the fight to go against yuta, choso perform better cuz he didn’t like the views noaya had about brotherhood, almost hitting him with a prercing blood. Yuki lost to kenjaku cuz she didn’t have confidence in her domain despite kenjaku saying she could’ve won, yuji getting nerf watching his friends get killed by mahito until todo came with a speech, megumi getting physical stronger after having more confidence in his 10 shadows instead of just pulling maho everytime, even beating a stronger finger barrier…..We literally see maki say “i’m at my best” after removing her trauma, she definitely got faster, plus she was nerf fighting human noaya. Both can coexist, just because they explain her precog doesn’t mean she was slower then curse noaya in her 2nd awakening
Jujutsu already had me hooked from the anime adaptation alone. But after continuing on into the manga, it quickly became one of my favorite Shounen series. One of the reasons for this was how wacky the curses were, and how Toji was introduced into the story. Before this, I liked Maki a lot, but after her transformation, yeah, I had my favorite character in the series. If Toji were around, it would be a toss up between the two, but this way, Maki takes it for me easily.
I dont think Maki got faster than curse Naoya there since that wouldn't make much sense and the story doesn't depict it as such. What occurs is that Maki, due to her second awakening, can now better perceive and predict Naoya's movements. Hence why he is so frustrated because he should be speed blitzing her but since she can now perceive every aspect of the environment around her (even the souls of inanimate objects) she cannot be touched by him.
Read the chapter again maki was literally running away and against naoya and even with his increased speed he couldn't touch maki her speed and her perceptions both increases
Both things can coexist. She can predict and move faster than naoya. Like maki is in the air and avoids a full speed attack from naoya in a second. If you aren't close to someone in speed you won't be able to avoid like this even if you can predict they movements. Distance matters

Being able to predict something 100% would allow you to dodge i don't see how that wouldn't be the case. If I know a car will hit me 10sec in advance I would be able to dodge but that does not make me faster than a car cause that would be stupid. The story outlines this fact and does not show case maki as faster than Naoya in terms of speed but that due to her second awakening (which btw doesn't effect any physical attribute she has other than her perception of the world around her) she is capable of dodging him. Maki is fast af but not faster than curse Naoya in terms of pure speed. Its flawed logic to think that.

After maki fought against the sumo dude she started to feel more free and fight more with her instincts just like toji does. So her soul stop being constrained and she got stronger
there's a panel where she is literally shown moving faster than him, he tries to attack her, she moves out the way, he goes past and then she catches up to him from behind him, so she had to be moving faster than him
Video idea: How about a colony vs battle? All the fighters / curse spirits in an colony will be a team work together to fight the others colony. Would be super interesting. At first sendai colony looks like the clear winner but the others has some insane fighters too.
Ooh, I disagree with that. I think Sendai vs Tokyo N. 2 gets really rough, and so does Sakurajima (which is just Maki, basically, lol). Tokyo N.1 is the only clear loser imo, but Takaba could still bring a clutch. I very much like the idea, though

Also, if the original proposition means the state we find the colony in, not the current state, then Sakurajima and Sendai are even more dangerous than I was giving credit for. Kurourushi + Dhruv and Naoya are definitely worthy threats
Great analysis! I wasn't a big fan of this manga/anime in the beginning but after rereading/rewatching some things I really appreciate each characters individuality in the story.
Here's an even more interesting match up: Sendai Colony vs Disaster Spirits Dhruv, Kuro, Uro, and Ryu vs Dagon, Hanami, Jogo, and Mahito Match ups: Dhruv vs Dagon Hanami vs Ryu Uro vs Jogo Kuro vs Mahito My bets: Dh vs Da: Dragon's inexperience against Dhruv would likely cost him a good deal of damage, but overall Dagon has been shown to have a more versatile CT than Dhruv, who can only create Shikigamis that guarantee sure hits from their trails. But that alone would pose a threat against Dagon, if he we overwhelmed by Shikigamis, he'd be taking more overall damage if he can't overpower Dhruv's Shikigamis and keep them from reaching them. It's a 60:40 match up in Dhruv's favor, but Dagon still has fair odds of winning by technique versatility. -- Uro vs Jogo: Jogo has the initiation advantage by speed, but Uro has the defensive advantage by being able to deflect his blasts. In a domain battle, Jogo would have the upper hand, since Uro would have to endure smoldering temperatures, which her space warping can't do much against. Then we have Jogo's Maximum Meteor. Uro may not have the power to deflect a whole meteor, which puts her at a disadvantage. But Uro has counteroffensive potential against Jogo, especially with her thin ice missile technique, not only able to deflect attacks, warp and disable limbs, but also immediately retaliate with a space shattering physical attack, I'd give her a very slight edge just by being able to avoid a good number of Jogo's offensive attacks. 55:45 in Uro's favor, but Jogo has the raw potency of being able to overwhelm her with sheer power and through thermal attacks, which should at least place Uro at a thermal and psychological disadvantage. -- Kuro vs Mahito: Kuro has the advantage of swarming Mahito, and has the CE reinforcement strong enough to even fend off Yuta's attacks. But Mahito has the versatility to match Kuro's. Kuro would likely overpower base Mahito, but True Mahito should have the durability to keep up by then, and if he's starting off fresh, as opposed to heavily worn down during his fight with Todo and Yuji, and the fact that Mahito has a domain, Kurourushi would very likely lose if he can't eliminate Mahito fast enough. 85:15 in Mahito's favor. --- Ryu vs Hanami: To give Hanami a fair chance, since if we're talking just base Hanami, Ryu simply has the raw power to beat the shit out of Hanami, not even mentioning his CE, which likely would tear through Hanami's shell. But Hanami has an advantage by CT versatility against Ryu's powerful, but narrow versatility CT. Hanami also has a special attribute and self-imposed binding vow. In respective order: being able to extract CE from organic matter like plants, and not having enough innate CE to unleash a domain. Ryu would be facing up against: Brainwashing flowers, CE sucking plants, would conjuring/manipulation, and self-replenshing CE, with a special domain that has a binding vow. While Hanami likely would lose in a battle of durability, Hanami innately has enough durability to survive a few punches, and if he wasn't holding back, and got to extract Cursed Energy, he may very well have eventually gotten enough CE from the environment to mitigate Ryu's physical attacks to the bare minimum. Ryu's one advantage is raw power. Power that can overwhelm even Hanami. But that raw power is delicately dealt with by Hanami's more flexible and versatile CT. Full Potential Hanami vs Ryu is a lot closer of a match-up if Hanami pulls off their set up right. At best, 65:35 in Hanami's favor. They fight in a lush, organic environment where Hanami can make the most of his potential right off the bat without holding back, with Ryu answering right back with Blasts that can tear through any Defence Hanami tries to raise up. Without the environment advantage, 85:15 in Ryu's favor. Hanami simply can't land an attack that Ryu wouldn't be able to overpower. Hanami's only fighting chance would be carefully executed attacks with his CE sucking plants and brainwashing flowers. And if Ryu does get caught by either, he's poised to take at least one instance of lethal damage from Hanami. But that's hoping for a lot. And that's my take.
More like just characters with annoying sets of powers that makes them exceptionally easy not to be killed until they get killed by a heavy hitting attack

15:53 I think that this statement here doesn't prove that she's gotten faster but rather that naobito is confused because he is faster than her but still can't hit her. In other words she didn't get faster but her senses and perception increased allowing her to react to his attacks because right after he says that he speeds past her. Also jogo's domain innately has an extremly hot environment so maki might take damage just from being inside.

Nope, She literally dodged Naoya's projection sorcery from curse Naoya which is faster than Naobito's projection sorcery. Domains completely don't affect Maki and Toji, including Jogo's heat domain, Gojo's paralysis domain etc. The domain environment won't affect her.
Ngl, for some reason I feel like Naobito is still faster than a fully awakened Maki (post Curse Naoya fight). Naobito could probably go as fast as Curse Naoya, but due to him being human he has limitations on stacking his CT in a straight up way. I don't think he's behind curse Naoya when it comes to pure agility though. Or maybe I'm just missing something?
Actually fully realised awakened Maki was reacting to Naoya because she could sense the air changes, Naoya couldnt properly build up speed cuz Maki was right behind him and he wanted to lose her

I don’t know if I agree. I think it comes down to Toji’s poor performance against teen gojo. He had to wear Gojo down to even have a chance. And Jogo crushes teen Gojo. I think that the Jogo Hanami durability statement definitely makes all JJK scaling weird considering he took a point blank red blast. And red is stronger than blue. I just don’t think Maki can overcome all of the disaster curses together. Maybe everyone one on one. But as a group I think they beat Maki 8/10 times
Toji wasn't even planning on fighting Teen Gojo, he was planning on killing him in one hit and then killing Riko. That's why he tired Gojo first, to finish the mission as quickly as possible.
The term 'functionally faster' comes to mind; its fine she didn't get more physical speed, her new power results in her fighting and reacting to her opponents faster
Remember when Gojo said “I want you, or rather, all of you, to be able to beat _that.”_ about Jogo? Well, how many of the students *now* could realistically take Jogo? -Maki and Yuta definitely, maybe Hakari too. _-Maybe_ Itadori. Just the fact that I can even say DEFINITELY for two of them, and give an honest MAYBE for two more, speaks volumes about their growth as sorcerers. Gojo would be proud.

I dont know why people keep thinking Gojos domain won't affect Maki. Yeah she has no cursed energy but in my mind Unlimited void simply releases information out within the domain, it doesn't target anything or anyone. So as long as you are a conscious being, you will be affected by the domain. That's how I interpretate it at least.
To trap Toji or Maki inside any domain but Sukuna's, they would have to consent. But it doesn't matter. Gojou would blitz and give them both a point blank red to the head 💀
Jogo is so weird to scale, he’s ridiculously strong and fast however it’s hard to determine just how strong and fast he is. Yuji scales about right above Nanami (early shibuya) and he was dodging speed of sound attacks while Nanami was perception blitzed. Maki post awakening is Mach 3 and above so Jogo should reasonably be able to tag her and his attacks are even faster, but it’s hard to determine just how much damage it would do but Maki is comfortably around Jogo’s level. Mahito is tricky as in his domain expansion, you’re literally in the palm of his hand and Maki wouldn’t be ignored most likely and purely multipliers wise, Yuji is around Mach 1 and Mahito gets 200% faster so Mach 3. So Mahito and Jogo would be able to tag Maki MOST LIKELY. So while Maki could reasonably beat all the disaster curses 1 on 1 I believe she couldn’t do it 4v1. Also would Dagon really know how fast Jogo is? I don’t think the Naoya being above Mahito scaling is Valid, as Yuji had huge rage and black flash amps against Mahito.
I don't agree with your speed scaling of Maki at all because she isn't getting a physical Amp from learning with sumo she gets a perception amp. This just allows her to react to naoya and maybe even know where he's going to be because of the way projection sorcery works how he has to follow the set path.
This video would have been so much easier after the sukuna vs maki fights in the recent chapters. Sukuna literally couldn't sense the presence of Maki. Maki asks yuji if he could keep up, she's got immense battle intelligence, she's deadly. She's literally beyond toji at this point.
The thing with damaging the soul is reverse technique has no use to it, you basically will die when you get fatal cut from maki's sword even you're RCT level hakari.
Hakari’s RCT is special. Even with abilities like Mahito’s Idle Transfiguration being a known ability in the story, Hakari is considered to be effectively immortal
@@BrokenRonin Maki was physically the same speed she was when Mach 3 Naoya blitzed her. But she has sensory amps akin to Sage Mode in Naruto allowing her to move preemptively. It’s not exactly precog but similar to it as she can feel movements in the air rather than waiting for her eyes to see him So Maki doesn’t move faster than Naoya. She can dodge people on Naoya’s level but she’s not faster, which is an important distinction in VS battles

@@ktrover9261 Toji couldn't blitz a tired teen Gojo, Toji isn't blitzing the disaster curse know for his speed and destructive power. Maki is about the same as Toji. With soul splitter katana, I think Maki can typically beat Jogo, but it's ludicrous to think that Maki is beating all 4 disaster curses teaming up. Jogo blitzed a tire Nanami and tired pre-HR Maki, but not a tired and injured Naobito (fastest sorcerer other than Gojo). Toji blitzed a tired Megumi. So I think it's not unheard of to assume that Jogo and Toji/Maki are similar in speed. So with 3 teammates, Jogo and his squad should win most of the time against Maki. Just came back to this discussion a while after this video released, sorry for such a late addition to the comment.

Honestly Mahito's domain hard counters Maki since he directly attacks the soul so it doesn't matter that Maki is treated as a cursed object since as long as she has a soul she is a target.

She has the same constitution as Toji and we all saw that Toji had to use Megumi's Simple Domain to enter Dagon's domain and was actually affected by Dagon's CT. Her lack of CE means she can't be auto targetted by typical targets but Mahito CT directly attacks the soul . So once Maki gets 1 tap she's blowing up fr free.
Not to mention Maki has curse resistance, meaning even before her awakening she was very resistant to someone like Jogo’s fire and Mahito’s innate technique.

If Maki = Toji in all atributes then, Jogo tanked a Reversal Red from Adult Gojo, so his durability is AUTOMATICALLY higher than Toji. Jogo is stronger than 3 Finger Sukuna and STATED to be relative to 8 or 9 of Sukuna's fingers, which makes sense, since a 15 Finger Sukuna praised Jogo for being one the strongest individuals that he fought. Maximum Meteor can damage 15 Finger Sukuna, so good luck arguing that Maki survives that, which is curious since you didn't mention it, for some reason...
@@tcaveirasI agree with you on the fact of Jogo being more durable based on the red comparison. If we're going by durability, Maki's weapon would def still be able to kill jogo however. Also double the fact that she is faster than him (or at least equal) and that advantage only increases with her premonition to, which would allow her to avoid his attacks. When getting into max meteor, I'm pretty sure Maki would be able to avoid it pretty easily. Hell, even panda and that other grade 1 sorcerer guy were able to avoid it despite Sukuna not allowing to move for a bit. If the other curse spirits restrained Maki, they could have a chance of killing her with max meteor but i don't think her speed and premonition would allow for that.
well, it seems that gojo can manipulate the way he uses red, because in the fight against toji it's seen as a direct beam whereas against jogo it was just a blast going in all directions, being overall way less potent in power, plus toji still tanked it aswell with seemingly minor injuries (head slightly bleeding).

Toji is far stronger than a 3 fingers sukuna just off being scaled to maki since we know that yuta hakari and maki are shown to be relative(not equal) and yuji states that yuta should be able to beat 15f sukuna wether you agree with that statement or not it implies that at the minimum yuta and by relativity hakari and maki are massively stronger than just a 5f sukuna or below

Mahito still has a chance thanks to his domain expansion and his ability to activate it at Superspeed. They say that Maki is immune to Domain expansions but he we thinks about why they don't work on her, then that statement isn't true for all domain, Sukuna domain would erase Maki and Mahito domain would kill her instantly. They explained that Maki is immune to Domain because she is seen as object because of her lack of curse energy, but Mahito domain directly confront the soul, Mahito was in contact with Sukuna soul the minute Itadori went into his domain, so Mahito domain would work on Maki.
Mahito 100% got a chance against Maki. He's not the guy to underestimate his opponents. People forget that Mahito has one of the highest fight IQs in the entire series. Once he activates his domain, Maki is in big trouble if she doesn't blitz through him in an instant

Now the domain and Iddle Transfiguration are two different things, Mahito didn't use iddle inside the domain but every souls inside were touched, because the domain doesn't require physical contact on someone body. It is a perception thing, but in order to actually avoid him she _has_ to be able to keep up with her own perceptions. Meaning that functionally she can blitz and completely avoid anyone on Naoya's level of speed and below

Aren’t all Domain Expansions “sure hit”? Even if some don’t directly damage, you still have to participate in the domain (obviously excluding when someone overpowers a domain with their own). For example, Hiromi Higuruma’s domain doesn’t directly deal damage, however it’s still a sure hit because Yuji was forced to participate in the trial. Unless I’m misunderstanding the use of the term “sure hit”.

Heavenly pacts can't be controlled, they're a circumstantial gift placed on a sorcerer randomly at birth. And the reason they don't want a non-curse user is not because of it's lack of power, but because the Zenin clan look at it through a xenophobic context. Being a "monkey", a person with no cursed energy is seen as a blight in the clan. While the pact is useful, being unable to wield your cursed energy is seen as dumb, barbaric or just useless.

I do agree with the outcome of the video, but I really feel as if Maki's speed is overexaggerated here when compared to Naoya - I don't personally think of her dodging him as a speed feat but instead a showcase of her evolved senses which would make sense as Naoya moving at mach speeds would create a change in air pressure that she would definitely be able to read.
This makes no sense when you consider that Tojo couldn't tag Gojo after he came back to life and that same Gojo wasn't speed blitzing the special grades in the underground

Maki is equal to toji right. With that baseline we can assume the fight between Dagon and toji is about the same that would happen with maki vs Dagon. Also toji fought gojo assuming gojo matched Toji’s speed we can assume that the fight between gojo vs hanami and, jugo would be similar to how they would react to maki’s speed. I personally dont think maki will perception blitz those four but she is 100% faster.

Except that combat mechanics have been explored in much more detail in Naruto. We have a clear understanding how chakra and ninjutsu work, as well as Nagato's capabilities, limit, at least vague idea of chakra levels etc.
In JJK, the combat mechanics are all extremely vague. Some of it is due to even the characters knowing little and exploring the origins of Jujutsu (and what "real Jujutsu" as Sukuna put is even is) is part of the story.
Everything we know about curse techniques and combat mechanics in JJK is very "patchy" and vague and we don't have a clear understanding of anything really.
At the same time there are also not that many characters and displays of powers (of varying degrees) as well as not that many fights.
Take Jogo for example: He got stomped by Gojo, then one shot Kento, Naobito and Maki then got destroyed by Sukuna. It doesn't really tell us much. The best piece of information we have to actually gauge Jogo's strength is the fact that Kenjaku said he's strength is worth 9 fingers. But how many fingers worth of strength could the average grade 1 sorcerer even handle?
Power scaling in JJK is pretty pointless. Our understanding of combat mechanics and actual power levels is way too low and there are not enough characters to begin with. It's like...you're either "Top5/10" or you are weak to average at best.

Something that irks me is that people downplay Mai's cursed technique, but we have to keep in mind that her technique uses a lot of cursed energy, and Mai has a small pool because of her connection to Maki. Keep in mind in Mai's final moments she created a sword that is a replica cursed tool which can directly attack an opponents soul. That's insane.

Even when Awakened Dagon literally decimated a Special Grade 1 and two Grade 1 sorcerers (yes, I believe Maki is on par with a grade 1 sorcerer), the moment Jogo shows up they immediately remark that Jogo is on a different level compare to Dagon. So he can pretty much solo everybody in the story beside Special Grades.

Off topic here. I'm quite sure Naobito got pissed drunk because he knew he was going to croak. Out of all the Zenin, he was the only one who could speak formally to Toji. I believe Toji didn't annihilate the clan due to the following:
A) Toji respected Naobito.
B) Toji was thinking of Megumi's future like it was implied.
C) Naobito was a grand negotiator and mediator, and kept Toji somewhat tame with promises of taking care of Megumi. And he did keep his promise; even going so far as to make Megumi the head over his own son.

If Gojo considered Red to be enough to one shot Mahoraga before it started to adapt to Limitless, then he was definitely not going all out because he had wanted to use him as a training example for Yuji, which he did.
Maki probably my favorite character in the entire series. She starts off as someone you root for because of her situation and you watch her develop into a complete annihilating machine. I wonder what role she'll play in the battle with Sakuna now that Yuta has reentered. I doubt she can do much because Yuta is stronger than her, and Sakuna is stronger than both of them combined, with Yuta probably being able to annoy him like Yuji can. Even still, Maki is the greatest. I respect her and Yuta so much for what they've accomplished.
I originally liked her because I like strong female characters that aren’t afraid to box . Then I wanted her to get stronger from there . I also loved she was the underdog to some but other acknowledged her as more than what ppl gave her credit for .

Just finished watching, & can say this is by far the most accurate video I've seen on Maki since her 2nd "awakening" that doesn't instantly downplay her abilities. The general analysis/explanation of all 5 of these characters abilities also kept it interesting to watch 👍

I wanna point out Maki isn´t faster than before at all with the sumo awakening. She´s expressively being able to outmaneuver him because of her improved perception, letting her know his constant position and that of her surroundings perfectly.
Wanna also mention Jogo´s domain is a volcano. And his abilities do summon magma. So his domain would just create a battle field that passively harms Maki.

Maki/toji has to consent to be in a domain, just like how she materializes in Noaya domain, so jogo domain won’t be a issue, she won’t be trapped inside
For precog to work, you need to have relative speed to your preception or the ability is useless. She outpace curse Noaya in mid air with no leverage to dodge but did so anyway. We see curse noaya a few ft from maki in mid flight but she still dodged implying she’s faster then before….this is consistent for jjk characters, when they gain confidence, a rage boost or a better mindset, they physically become stronger, for example: Choso & yuji couldn’t touch noaya but when yuji left the fight to go against yuta, choso perform better cuz he didn’t like the views noaya had about brotherhood, almost hitting him with a prercing blood. Yuki lost to kenjaku cuz she didn’t have confidence in her domain despite kenjaku saying she could’ve won, yuji getting nerf watching his friends get killed by mahito until todo came with a speech, megumi getting physical stronger after having more confidence in his 10 shadows instead of just pulling maho everytime, even beating a stronger finger barrier…..We literally see maki say “i’m at my best” after removing her trauma, she definitely got faster, plus she was nerf fighting human noaya.
Both can coexist, just because they explain her precog doesn’t mean she was slower then curse noaya in her 2nd awakening

Jujutsu already had me hooked from the anime adaptation alone. But after continuing on into the manga, it quickly became one of my favorite Shounen series. One of the reasons for this was how wacky the curses were, and how Toji was introduced into the story. Before this, I liked Maki a lot, but after her transformation, yeah, I had my favorite character in the series. If Toji were around, it would be a toss up between the two, but this way, Maki takes it for me easily.

I dont think Maki got faster than curse Naoya there since that wouldn't make much sense and the story doesn't depict it as such. What occurs is that Maki, due to her second awakening, can now better perceive and predict Naoya's movements. Hence why he is so frustrated because he should be speed blitzing her but since she can now perceive every aspect of the environment around her (even the souls of inanimate objects) she cannot be touched by him.
Read the chapter again maki was literally running away and against naoya and even with his increased speed he couldn't touch maki her speed and her perceptions both increases
Both things can coexist. She can predict and move faster than naoya. Like maki is in the air and avoids a full speed attack from naoya in a second. If you aren't close to someone in speed you won't be able to avoid like this even if you can predict they movements. Distance matters

I mean in this case no? In the example you gave she is capable of seeing and sensing minute changes in the air allow her to dodge midair. Being able to predict something 100% would allow you to dodge i don't see how that wouldn't be the case.
Maki being faster than Naoya would imply that she is capable of going Mach 3 and beyond when she is obviously not. If I know a car will hit me 10sec in advance I would be able to dodge but that does not make me faster than a car cause that would be stupid.
The story outlines this fact and does not show case maki as faster than Naoya in terms of speed but that due to her second awakening (which btw doesn't effect any physical attribute she has other than her perception of the world around her) she is capable of dodging him. Maki is fast af but not faster than curse Naoya in terms of pure speed. Its flawed logic to think that.

If you avoid a attack point blank in the air you are faster than that thing. It's like six eyes that gojo have makes so time moves slower. But only because time moves slower for him doesn't mean that he isn't way faster then toji because he avoid all of his attack's point blank. Again distance and timeframe matters
Why is she obviously not as fast as mach 3. Yeah true but if you try to avoid the car one second before it hits you and you succeed then yes you are relative to that car ln speed. But if you try to avoid the car like 10 seconds before it hits you then yeah you not relative to that car in speed
That's not true it does effect her physical strength. We know from the hanami fight if you stop ignoring your instincts your soul stop being constrained and you get stronger. This also makes sense because kenjaku says your soul is your body except for some special cases like mahito. After maki fought against the sumo dude she started to feel more free and fight more with her instincts just like toji does. So her soul stop being constrained and she got stronger
there's a panel where she is literally shown moving faster than him, he tries to attack her, she moves out the way, he goes past and then she catches up to him from behind him, so she had to be moving faster than him
Video idea: How about a colony vs battle? All the fighters / curse spirits in an colony will be a team work together to fight the others colony. Would be super interesting. At first sendai colony looks like the clear winner but the others has some insane fighters too.
Ooh, I disagree with that. I think Sendai vs Tokyo N. 2 gets really rough, and so does Sakurajima (which is just Maki, basically, lol). Tokyo N.1 is the only clear loser imo, but Takaba could still bring a clutch. I very much like the idea, though

Also, if the original proposition means the state we find the colony in, not the current state, then Sakurajima and Sendai are even more dangerous than I was giving credit for. Kurourushi + Dhruv and Naoya are definitely worthy threats

But that alone would pose a threat against Dagon, if he we overwhelmed by Shikigamis, he'd be taking more overall damage if he can't overpower Dhruv's Shikigamis and keep them from reaching them.
It's a 60:40 match up in Dhruv's favor, but Dagon still has fair odds of winning by technique versatility.

Jogo has the initiation advantage by speed, but Uro has the defensive advantage by being able to deflect his blasts. In a domain battle, Jogo would have the upper hand, since Uro would have to endure smoldering temperatures, which her space warping can't do much against.
Then we have Jogo's Maximum Meteor. Uro may not have the power to deflect a whole meteor, which puts her at a disadvantage.
But Uro has counteroffensive potential against Jogo, especially with her thin ice missile technique, not only able to deflect attacks, warp and disable limbs, but also immediately retaliate with a space shattering physical attack, I'd give her a very slight edge just by being able to avoid a good number of Jogo's offensive attacks.
55:45 in Uro's favor, but Jogo has the raw potency of being able to overwhelm her with sheer power and through thermal attacks, which should at least place Uro at a thermal and psychological disadvantage.

Kuro has the advantage of swarming Mahito, and has the CE reinforcement strong enough to even fend off Yuta's attacks. But Mahito has the versatility to match Kuro's. Kuro would likely overpower base Mahito, but True Mahito should have the durability to keep up by then, and if he's starting off fresh, as opposed to heavily worn down during his fight with Todo and Yuji, and the fact that Mahito has a domain, Kurourushi would very likely lose if he can't eliminate Mahito fast enough.

Ryu vs Hanami:
To give Hanami a fair chance, since if we're talking just base Hanami, Ryu simply has the raw power to beat the shit out of Hanami, not even mentioning his CE, which likely would tear through Hanami's shell.
But Hanami has an advantage by CT versatility against Ryu's powerful, but narrow versatility CT.
Hanami also has a special attribute and self-imposed binding vow. In respective order: being able to extract CE from organic matter like plants, and not having enough innate CE to unleash a domain.
Ryu would be facing up against:
Brainwashing flowers, CE sucking plants, would conjuring/manipulation, and self-replenshing CE, with a special domain that has a binding vow.
While Hanami likely would lose in a battle of durability, Hanami innately has enough durability to survive a few punches, and if he wasn't holding back, and got to extract Cursed Energy, he may very well have eventually gotten enough CE from the environment to mitigate Ryu's physical attacks to the bare minimum.
Ryu's one advantage is raw power. Power that can overwhelm even Hanami. But that raw power is delicately dealt with by Hanami's more flexible and versatile CT.
Full Potential Hanami vs Ryu is a lot closer of a match-up if Hanami pulls off their set up right.
At best, 65:35 in Hanami's favor. They fight in a lush, organic environment where Hanami can make the most of his potential right off the bat without holding back, with Ryu answering right back with Blasts that can tear through any Defence Hanami tries to raise up.
Without the environment advantage, 85:15 in Ryu's favor. Hanami simply can't land an attack that Ryu wouldn't be able to overpower. Hanami's only fighting chance would be carefully executed attacks with his CE sucking plants and brainwashing flowers. And if Ryu does get caught by either, he's poised to take at least one instance of lethal damage from Hanami. But that's hoping for a lot.
And that's my take.
Toji and maki feels like they are kenpachi in jjk. they can cut everything and fight with brute strength

In other words she didn't get faster but her senses and perception increased allowing her to react to his attacks because right after he says that he speeds past her. Nope, She literally dodged Naoya's projection sorcery from curse Naoya which is faster than Naobito's projection sorcery. Domains completely don't affect Maki and Toji, including Jogo's heat domain, Gojo's paralysis domain etc. The domain environment won't affect her.

Naobito could probably go as fast as Curse Naoya, but due to him being human he has limitations on stacking his CT in a straight up way. I don't think he's behind curse Naoya when it comes to pure agility though.

Actually fully realised awakened Maki was reacting to Naoya because she could sense the air changes, Naoya couldnt properly build up speed cuz Maki was right behind him and he wanted to lose her

I don’t know if I agree. I think it comes down to Toji’s poor performance against teen gojo. He had to wear Gojo down to even have a chance. And Jogo crushes teen Gojo. I think that the Jogo Hanami durability statement definitely makes all JJK scaling weird considering he took a point blank red blast. And red is stronger than blue. I just don’t think Maki can overcome all of the disaster curses together. Maybe everyone one on one. But as a group I think they beat Maki 8/10 times

I dont know why people keep thinking Gojos domain won't affect Maki. Yeah she has no cursed energy but in my mind Unlimited void simply releases information out within the domain, it doesn't target anything or anyone. So as long as you are a conscious being, you will be affected by the domain. That's how I interpretate it at least.
Gojo's domain has a sure hit technique just like Naoya's. That means Toji and Maki won't get affected.
To trap Toji or Maki inside any domain but Sukuna's, they would have to consent. But it doesn't matter. Gojou would blitz and give them both a point blank red to the head 💀
Jogo is so weird to scale, he’s ridiculously strong and fast however it’s hard to determine just how strong and fast he is. Yuji scales about right above Nanami (early shibuya) and he was dodging speed of sound attacks while Nanami was perception blitzed. Maki post awakening is Mach 3 and above so Jogo should reasonably be able to tag her and his attacks are even faster, but it’s hard to determine just how much damage it would do but Maki is comfortably around Jogo’s level. Mahito is tricky as in his domain expansion, you’re literally in the palm of his hand and Maki wouldn’t be ignored most likely and purely multipliers wise, Yuji is around Mach 1 and Mahito gets 200% faster so Mach 3. So Mahito and Jogo would be able to tag Maki MOST LIKELY. So while Maki could reasonably beat all the disaster curses 1 on 1 I believe she couldn’t do it 4v1. Also would Dagon really know how fast Jogo is? I don’t think the Naoya being above Mahito scaling is Valid, as Yuji had huge rage and black flash amps against Mahito.
It's easy to know that he isn't losing to Maki.
I don't agree with your speed scaling of Maki at all because she isn't getting a physical Amp from learning with sumo she gets a perception amp. This just allows her to react to naoya and maybe even know where he's going to be because of the way projection sorcery works how he has to follow the set path.

This video would have been so much easier after the sukuna vs maki fights in the recent chapters. Sukuna literally couldn't sense the presence of Maki. Maki asks yuji if he could keep up, she's got immense battle intelligence, she's deadly. She's literally beyond toji at this point.

Hakari’s RCT is special. Even with abilities like Mahito’s Idle Transfiguration being a known ability in the story, Hakari is considered to be effectively immortal
Maki was slower than Naoya, while she still beat him in the fight. Just because Toji could beat Naobito doesn't mean he's faster than him.
In their last fight she wasn't. Naoya literally says he CAN'T hit her. You don't just do that to someone you are slower than.

So Maki doesn’t move faster than Naoya. She can dodge people on Naoya’s level but she’s not faster, which is an important distinction in VS battles

@@ktrover9261 Toji couldn't blitz a tired teen Gojo, Toji isn't blitzing the disaster curse know for his speed and destructive power. Maki is about the same as Toji. With soul splitter katana, I think Maki can typically beat Jogo, but it's ludicrous to think that Maki is beating all 4 disaster curses teaming up. Jogo blitzed a tire Nanami and tired pre-HR Maki, but not a tired and injured Naobito (fastest sorcerer other than Gojo). Toji blitzed a tired Megumi. So I think it's not unheard of to assume that Jogo and Toji/Maki are similar in speed. So with 3 teammates, Jogo and his squad should win most of the time against Maki.

She has the same constitution as Toji and we all saw that Toji had to use Megumi's Simple Domain to enter Dagon's domain and was actually affected by Dagon's CT.
Her lack of CE means she can't be auto targetted by typical targets but Mahito CT directly attacks the soul . So once Maki gets 1 tap she's blowing up fr free.
hearing that a *3 finger* sukuna, scales so hard against these characters, makes me realize just how insanely strong the king is.
Not to mention Maki has curse resistance, meaning even before her awakening she was very resistant to someone like Jogo’s fire and Mahito’s innate technique.
The goood guys in JJK are so strong now that I'm more concerned for Sukuna and Kenjaku, and btw you weren't kidding about the editing in this video, it was really nice

If Maki = Toji in all atributes then, Jogo tanked a Reversal Red from Adult Gojo, so his durability is AUTOMATICALLY higher than Toji.
Jogo is stronger than 3 Finger Sukuna and STATED to be relative to 8 or 9 of Sukuna's fingers, which makes sense, since a 15 Finger Sukuna praised Jogo for being one the strongest individuals that he fought.
Maximum Meteor can damage 15 Finger Sukuna, so good luck arguing that Maki survives that, which is curious since you didn't mention it, for some reason...

@@tcaveirasI agree with you on the fact of Jogo being more durable based on the red comparison. If we're going by durability, Maki's weapon would def still be able to kill jogo however. Also double the fact that she is faster than him (or at least equal) and that advantage only increases with her premonition to, which would allow her to avoid his attacks. When getting into max meteor, I'm pretty sure Maki would be able to avoid it pretty easily. Hell, even panda and that other grade 1 sorcerer guy were able to avoid it despite Sukuna not allowing to move for a bit. If the other curse spirits restrained Maki, they could have a chance of killing her with max meteor but i don't think her speed and premonition would allow for that.
well, it seems that gojo can manipulate the way he uses red, because in the fight against toji it's seen as a direct beam whereas against jogo it was just a blast going in all directions, being overall way less potent in power, plus toji still tanked it aswell with seemingly minor injuries (head slightly bleeding).

I really think Jogo alone is enough. Mahito although as or stronger than Jogo, his ability may not work on maki, although his final form with his black flashes I think would keep up with maki. Finally hanami and Dagon could not against her. Now, if they all go together, they destroy it in neg diff.
By the way, I scale the sukuna finger declarations differently, for example, that jogo has a power comparable to 8/9 fingers. And the statements that compare the characters, for example, which jogo might be stronger than 3F sukuna. In one it is more a statement of how much cursed energy one has measured in number of fingers (this is based on Mahito affirming that sukuna had less Jogo cursed energy). The second statement refers to how they compare to sukuna directly, for example, Jogo has a cursed energy comparable to 8/9 fingers, but when it comes to using it for combat, it is not comparable to how sukuna would use that cursed energy of 8 /9 fingers, in fact it would be more comparable to a 3-fingered sukuna.

Toji is far stronger than a 3 fingers sukuna just off being scaled to maki since we know that yuta hakari and maki are shown to be relative(not equal) and yuji states that yuta should be able to beat 15f sukuna wether you agree with that statement or not it implies that at the minimum yuta and by relativity hakari and maki are massively stronger than just a 5f sukuna or below

Mahito still has a chance thanks to his domain expansion and his ability to activate it at Superspeed. They say that Maki is immune to Domain expansions but he we thinks about why they don't work on her, then that statement isn't true for all domain, Sukuna domain would erase Maki and Mahito domain would kill her instantly. They explained that Maki is immune to Domain because she is seen as object because of her lack of curse energy, but Mahito domain directly confront the soul, Mahito was in contact with Sukuna soul the minute Itadori went into his domain, so Mahito domain would work on Maki.
Mahito 100% got a chance against Maki. He's not the guy to underestimate his opponents. People forget that Mahito has one of the highest fight IQs in the entire series. Once he activates his domain, Maki is in big trouble if she doesn't blitz through him in an instant

But Mahito domain detect the soul not the curse energy, Mahito domain to Maki would be like Malovelent shrine because the barrier would be useless, but the sure hit would still work. Were Maki is, she would be the most vulnerable to it because she won't be able to use curse energy like Nanami to protect her soul.

Mahito explained that there is a limite between Sukuna and Yuji soul. Iddle Transfiguration allows Mahito to touch someone's souls by Touching that person's body, there is two souls inside the body so iddle Transfiguration touches both, it's not same as what you were describing.
Now the domain and Iddle Transfiguration are two different things, Mahito didn't use iddle inside the domain but every souls inside were touched, because the domain doesn't require physical contact on someone body. Sukuna didn't intervene to prevent Mahito to attack Yuji's soul, Sukuna's soul was directly touched by Mahito the moment Itadori went inside the domain and Mahito got attacked in retribution.
I’d say Mahito might win if you think his domain doesn’t target people with curses energy but rather people with souls. However Maki might blitz 1-shot Mahito before activating or escape, however you might say that’s out of character so who knows?
Mahito's best chance is to no use his true form because is stops his transformation ability, and then activate his domain. He can transform if she tries to hit him and he activate his technique across the whole domain.
Being able to damage the soul directly is especially broken, at least against sorcerers, just because RCT can't deal with it

It is a perception thing, but in order to actually avoid him she _has_ to be able to keep up with her own perceptions. Meaning that functionally she can blitz and completely avoid anyone on Naoya's level of speed and below

Aren’t all Domain Expansions “sure hit”? Even if some don’t directly damage, you still have to participate in the domain (obviously excluding when someone overpowers a domain with their own).
For example, Hiromi Higuruma’s domain doesn’t directly deal damage, however it’s still a sure hit because Yuji was forced to participate in the trial. Unless I’m misunderstanding the use of the term “sure hit”.

Heavenly pacts can't be controlled, they're a circumstantial gift placed on a sorcerer randomly at birth.
And the reason they don't want a non-curse user is not because of it's lack of power, but because the Zenin clan look at it through a xenophobic context. Being a "monkey", a person with no cursed energy is seen as a blight in the clan. While the pact is useful, being unable to wield your cursed energy is seen as dumb, barbaric or just useless.

Megumi's domain would probably be just as bad as Sukuna's for Maki since you need CE to stand in it without sinking to death

This is just a question and i agree that maki wins here, but are we sure mahitos domain expansion wouldnt work? The reason most domain expansions dont work is cuz they target cursed energy, but mahitos deformes the soul so wouldnt it work?
I personally think it would work, especially wh you consider that Ryomen Sukuna soul was instantly touched by the second Itadori went inside the Domain. Maki would affected by it and Will have no way to defend herself from iddle Transfiguration there.
I've always scaled jogos power and speed as higher than 3 finger sukuna maybe 4 finger being generous but only had 1 or 2 finger level durability

I do agree with the outcome of the video, but I really feel as if Maki's speed is overexaggerated here when compared to Naoya - I don't personally think of her dodging him as a speed feat but instead a showcase of her evolved senses which would make sense as Naoya moving at mach speeds would create a change in air pressure that she would definitely be able to read.

Maki is equal to toji right. With that baseline we can assume the fight between Dagon and toji is about the same that would happen with maki vs Dagon. Also toji fought gojo assuming gojo matched Toji’s speed we can assume that the fight between gojo vs hanami and, jugo would be similar to how they would react to maki’s speed.
I personally dont think maki will perception blitz those four but she is 100% faster.
In that gojo fight he was holding back massively. You can't use that to scale the disaster courses
