      @@HowtoPowerBI In this instance, I'd like to raise a request regarding the second topic, for which I'm currently without a solution. Is it feasible to develop a Dropdown slicer that incorporates user input for filtering selections? Ideally, it would operate similarly to the basic filtering function found in the side panel.
      I know, that filter panel is solving this task. However, filter panel has drawbacks. It looks plain and, more importantly, once minimized, the filter panel does not give user a hint which values (if any) were selected.
      Back in 2020 or so, there used to be a working slicer that supported user input in the marketplace. But this visual came from a Chinese developer, was not properly translated and got slashed by Microsoft at some point (for security reasons I believe).

    Great video as always. I wonder if you could or have done in the past a video that deals with "Bridge Tables" or relationship between two tables that have different granularity. I am struggling a little bit to find out the optimal method to solve my data model when I can't really do one-to-many one direction relationship, it seems like all solutions come back to either many-to-many or a bi-directional filter.

    • @HowtoPowerBI
      @HowtoPowerBI  26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      you need dimension tables from where you can set up the relationships to the 2 fact tables .. that way you dont need many to many nor bi directional

    Hello Bas,
    I have a columns like week18, week19, week20, week21, week22, underneath each column I have customer qty and buyer as sub column headers in table1, same way I have columns like week19, week20, week21, week22, week23 underneath each column I have customer qty and buyer as sub column headers in table2 as well, these files I will receive on weekly basis so column headers will keep moving forward to next WeekNo and so on. These files are stored in SharePoint folders. Requirement is that i want to append these tables and prepare a output report which includes those all week columns as single column as "week" And underneath wk-18, wk-19, wk-20, wk-21, wk-22, wk-23 to those corresponding customer qty and buyer values. I am facing challenge in handling week (date) columns as it's weekno keep moving forward and we end up getting to different weekno columns and not sure like which weekno belongs which value. Can you please help me to find a solution for this?
