A message that means so much to our forefathers back then, as we were a young nation, full of uncertainties and challenges, but through the leadership of Mr Lee Kuan Yew and his cabinet, and our forefathers' perseverance and determination, made Singapore what she is today, without which all of us would not have the peaceful and prosperous nation that we have too often taken for granted.
Happy 50th birthday and let us constantly be reminded of the struggles of Mr Lee Kuan Yew and our forefathers and may we continue their legacies to strive and make Singapore a better place to live in, a place we can identify ourselves with and a place we can truly call, "Home".

I'm not from SIngapore but I've visited the country and I must say, it was one of the best trips of my life. The people were nice, friendly and hard working. It's nice to see that history of the country is as glorious as it's present. Love from Bangladesh!

The trepidation in his voice is palpable, but so is his tenacity.

Alone, a tiny dot on the world map, no natural resources, we were left to fend for ourselves. If not for the brilliance, diligence and willing, can-do attitude of our government and the people, I wonder if those who rejected us and predicted our failure to survive, were shocked to see that Singapore didn't just survive. Singapore was able with her leaders diligence and far sightedness, to flourish and thrive!! Glory to God!

Truly, it is never a state but 'a tiny red dot' geographically known as 'a capital of a state or country'. In monetary term, 'capital' is needed for any transactions politically or economically. Till today, we still have not come across the sign board stating 'Johor Baru' but commonly and frequently called. The question remains: WHERE IS JB?
