Excellent. The panning was slow enough that one could take in some detail of the scenes. I've wondered if all the roofs caved-in from the weight of the pumice and ash. It looked like some doorways and supports were still intact here. Thank you for sharing this. It's sobering to think that it all could happen again, but this time to many more people.
Hey thanks Candypapa. 30 years ago??? Wow... long time!!! Unfortunately they didn't let me take the tripod inside, so the video is a little bit shaky :(
Che brutta morte ha avuto la gente di Pompeii :( Comunque il video e' bellissimo! Prepariamo con mio marito, un viaggio in Italia ed anche a Pompeii! Saluti di Grecia! :)
I was in Pompeii last week. AMAZING PLACE. I need to go there again to see the bits I missed this time. Pompeii is MASSIVE and only about 50% has been excavated.
I think, the fact that some buldings look destroyed and not perfectly concerved, depends on the fact that the second ash wave practically pulverised them without letting no trace.
Very nice video. I was there in 2010, and you can't see it all in just one day. And to those who are looking for a morality play in the destruction of Pompeii, consider the following facts. GOD did not bring destruction on this city. It was destroyed because of the eruption of a volcano. By the standards of Christianity, Islam, or Jewish law, the city was immoral, but so was Corinth, Athens, and Rome. These cities were not destroyed
@bxccapricorn you may be right or wrong about the city habits being that filthy. This is not the point. The point is that claiming that Allah did this according to the qquran will just steer people away from what you believe to be right.Ultimately, you just make a fool out of yourself....keep it up!! You have my sympathy.......
Very nice.
I have been to Pompei 30years ago.
Italy is such a beautiful country

I miss Pomp... :(
lovely music, what's the name of the song/composer?

I hope this won't happen to Naples. Vesuvius is overdue for an eruption an it's only a matter of time when it will blow up.
@bxccapricorn you must be sick in your mind...
