I have watched you and your farm grow for over 3 years now. The transformation of your land, your animals and yourself is amazing. Keep up the hard work!
Next time you need to set poles, instead of using concrete use gravel and sand so in case you need to move them you could use the footing and post. Same results and better use of what you have.
You are a natural teacher and storyteller. Your fencepost lesson really spoke to me and brought tears to my eyes. We need the markers of struggles and failures to see how much our successes truly mean.
Morgan - it’s amazing to me how you can be a dude alone tinkering on a plot of grass (animal friends aside) while simultaneously hanging out with tens of thousands of people. It’s astounding really. The humor of your unique brain translated into witty verbal essays and editing only gets sharper as you grow. This neurodivergent extroverted introvert applauds you sir.
I find that starting something you're not fully confident about and then not only getting it done but figuring out as you go, how to make it easier, more efficient process, etc is very satisfying and gives that boost of confidence. Well done Morgan!
My imagination I’m sure ….but he even seems taller lol 😊 He makes tons of mistakes, but like anyone should, he learns, he gets better and continues to hit the ball out of the park … so to speak … on all his endeavours 🎉
Amazing work Morgan. Also, hopefully not weird, but awesome health improvement, the weight difference between when you put the initial posts up to now. You look amazing, keep that fit up. Can't wait to see the years to come from this farm. 3 years Ive watched have been great, and only get better. Keep 'er goin' Morgan!
The drone footage of your farm always shows just how beautiful your farm is. It reminds me of some kind of European farm. It is a beautiful property and a testament to your good stewardship of the land.
For being a city boy who worked behind a desk, you sure have matured into a very good farmer/rancher. Keep up the great work. Yes, watch out for ticks. Those little blood suckers! Congratulations on your new fence. Looks GREAT!
I noticed that when things were getting so hard and pushing through the hard wasn't working, you gave yourself a break. What's to be congratulated, is that you came back to the project after building skills and efficiency and finished it. It's so easy to get derailed and fail to return to what we started. But I suspect what allowed you to re-engage was giving yourself grace and understanding for the struggle instead of shame and blame. Good job!
I like the idea of you using recycled materiel for your fence posts. It goes with your ideology about sustainable farming. Trial and error are lessons learned.
I've been watching your farm for a couple of years now. I love "Stories from the farm"!!! And I must say, you are looking very good! I can see how working on the farm has not only help your metal state, but your physical state as well! Great job!
Wow Morgan, that fence is perfect for the use of an electric fence… and the fact the posts are made of recycled materials is just great. Putting all the strands of wire would be a pain to install but nice to look at. Blessings…
I love this as an ADHD story. ‘Tries it, isn’t naturally good at it- too hard- procrastinate- give it time- then think of creative awesome solutions- perfect processes’. You’ve achieved so much, over a few years- especially for someone not born to a farm. ADHD really is a strength, and I want more people to know about it- I talk with people about it (also- 1 in 7 people have it, we’ve always needed people with these special skills). 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I've been a subscriber for over 6 years folks. It's been a pleasure to watch Morgan and his farm grow. Although I do miss watching him trudge through deep snow all the while pulling a sledge filled with water buckets.
Love this story. I am addicted to doing things that are hardest to me. I always do the hardest chore of the day first. I try to top that hill early so its all down hill the rest of the day. GREAT JOB SO PROUD OF YOU. Can't wait to see the cows in that field thia year. ❤😊
Great job morgan!! Been watching you for almost 3 years. You should be proud of hoe far you’ve come. When i started watching you, Iwas in so much of a different stage in my life but im so thankful for where Im at now and those who helped me get here
It amazes me how you have streamlined your farming skills. Granted we will always have room for improvement. It is such a joy to watch you go through your moves and addicts on running the farm with all your animals, both working and producings. You seem to be have a great admiration from a great number of viewers. Thank you.
From my own experience, I can say there are no senses of satisfaction quite like the one you have after completing a project you dreaded doing and doubted your ability to do, that required - exactly as you said - powering through the frustration and despair.Good on ya!
You are the one and only farmer I watch you’ve been the reason I’ve taken such interest in your development on the farm I never expected to be taught actually life lessons from Kurt to the fence it’s crazy how I’m Hooked to this channel the goslings eating the grass is something I could fall asleep too 😂 I’m excited for the new growth this year
It's interesting that you view that crooked post as proof that you shouldn't give up. It reminded me that sometimes when you're frustrated and struggling, you just need to take a break and walk away for awhile until you're ready to go back and tackle the project again. It's not about giving up, it's about giving yourself a chance to breathe, calm down, and come back refocused and ready to work.
The silky chickens are definitely my favorite parts of the videos as of late. Morgan could upload raw footage of the weird chickens and it would be well received imo. Like, "One hour of Weird Chicken Zen" sounds appealing to relax to.
Definitely. Theres tons of people that watch ASMR content daily. I do every single night while going to sleep. My favorites are head spas but also whisper storytelling. Last night i listened to Viking mythology by the french whisperer. Definitely plenty of regular viewers.
learning on the fly is something i really enjoy. i am not great at repetitive tasks and lose interest very quickly in something if its not exciting and new. i love learning new things, and am very good at figuring stuff out. that fence post is an awesome reminder of how far you've come, and the growth that you've had. keep on growing Morgan, i love your videos and the wholesome messages you share :) sometimes when i get frustrated with farming, i just think about how much more you have than me, and you're doing it all by yourself. it pushes me to power through it, and at the end of the day, i feel really good and accomplished with the tasks that i pushed though :)
That is a beautiful fence! Miss Abbey and the cooos will love it up there, I'm sure - I can't wait for moving time. I love the reminder of what your skills were to what they worked up to - we forget when we're in the middle of learning that we are actually learning! You don't start off the most fantastic at things - you work along towards mastery. It's often up to friends and family and suchlike to remind us - you're getting there - just keep at it! Thank you for this timely reminder 😊
Kudos to the novel idea with the crooked fence post! It’s an indicator of the knowledge and experience you’ve gained by making mistakes and learning by doing! Experience is the best teacher. It’s best not to dwell on what still needs done but how much has been accomplished and how much more knowledge has been acquired!
The fence post is also an important reminder of sometimes walking away and breathing is the better course so you can return to the project slightly less jaded and ready for a fresh start
You're looking fabulous Mr. M..u r truly a brilliant farmer..we ALL learn from you as you figure these problems out mostly on your own..well done Watson 😊
I hope the weird (silky) chickens like their new home. I love the green color you chose for their home. I'm glad to see the new barn is coming along toward completion. Your farming skills keep improving with experience. You have learned to manage your farm by yourself, so give yourself credit for a job well done. The baby geese are so cute!
Morgan what a great innovation. I had no idea this stuff existed for fencing. You should be very proud of yourself for figuring all of this out. For someone without help or a farm background I think you can think outside the box better! Well done.
I missed the music when you said ‘My buddy Alfred’ . The crooked fence post is such a good reminder for everyone that life will get better just keep going.
I think the new fence looks really good, and I love how you teach all who are interested why certain materials are beneficial. The goslings are so cute, and I noticed Abby wasn't drooling this time, lol. Looking good Morgan, thanks for the update, see you soon!
Great job Morgan! Showing you doing the fence last year and then finishing this year certainly shows the difference in your weight. Congratulations! I really enjoy your honest videos .😁
This is a great video. Everyone who tried to do something seemingly easy and quickly found out how much harder it is to implement can relate to this story
Morgan, great job on the fencing. I want to say that it looks as if you have lost weight. Sorry if that sounds too personal but good job on that as well. My hellos to Alison
3 years and still going strong Morgan! I’m happy to understand the way of farm life with you. It always looks more simple and easy from a naive point of view as I’m sitting on my, but it isn’t simple and easy. It’s a lot of hard work and good hard work that you are doing with patience is key for happy loving animals that you have on your farm.
The one thing that I would do with the white vinyl posts is mark the tops with either reflector disks/tape or Krylon spray paint. You don't want someone (including yourself) to not see them on a snow-mobile in winter.
This is why I keep coming back. Thank you for sharing the deeper lessons that you've learned. I also love the fact that you left that post as a reminder. None of us is perfect even though we'd like to pretend we are. Good for you!
Thanks for taking us along on this adventure of yours. That's a good looking fence :). Cool to see that you have lost some weight. Keep the love coming!
Wow Morgan, the difference in your weight from the older videos is awesome! You have lost so much & look great! Your farm is amazing too, I’m glad you found some easier ways to do the hard work. Barn looks so sturdy & beautiful! 🤗🙏❤️
Morgan, you are the epitome of the old adage of getting knocked down but getting back up. You got back up after that crooked fence post, good for you. Besides you did a hell of a lot of work on all those posts.
Greg Judy the Regenerative Farmer is great!! I've learned a lot from him and you both! Your fencing looks like it's going to be great! Aesthetically and functionally pleasing.
Since you're also a fan of Greg Judy, any chance you'll start unrolling large bails of hay on the pasture in fall before you bring all the cattle to the barn for winter? It can help fertilize the upper pasture, and keep the area around the barn from concentrating nitrogen. I understand water is the issue, but as the mild winter showed, the quick connects can allow for you to fill a tank 1x a day, and extend the season out away from the confined area.
It has been an absolute pleasure to watch you and your farm grow, I feel honored that you share all of this with us. Can't wait to see what is to come in the future! 💖💖💖

Oh man Morgan, how you have slimmed! I really admire and so thankful that you are doing your regenerative farming. I wish you have time to grow amaranth or corn during the summer and make your fowls even more sustainable on your own farm.
It doesn’t have to be pretty to be functional everything that we do is a lesson to be learned from. Morgan, you can tell that you love your animals and intern they love you and what you’re doing is best for them. Don’t let anyone tell you different.
