As someone who loves Marching Orders, this is really interesting Maybe they were once planning on making Marching Orders 2 the original, but found it too hard to be a non-sequel game? Or maybe they were just planning on making a practice for 2 that didn't make it into the final game (Though that doesn't really explain why they go through all of the mechanics, including the ones the original tutorial already touches on) What's the filename for this, out of curiosity?
I think either you once had the ability to choose how you want the game to look, this was a backup system in case the game loaded the wrong scene or they were made by mistake. Also possible that the scenes were moved around
