you know, the game select 2 song sounds nothing like a sequel to AIR BATTER, doesn't even have the same melody, so maybe the song that was actually composed there was overwritten by the game select 2 theme
I highly doubt it, as the cues seem to line up pretty well with the music. Maybe they changed the music in the final version of Spaceball 2 because the older music didn't fit very well, repurposing this early track into a post-game menu track?
@@FairPlay137 i mean game select 2 definitely has way more space-y qualities to it than the final spaceball song. it might just be because we're used to that song being in spaceball and this song being used in the game select. i don't think showing this to someone who knows nothing about the game they'd think it's unfitting, but i can't be sure. that said i'm glad they went with the final song because it absolutely slaps. edit: actually this might be out-there and just a personal thing but if it really is unfitting it could be because the upbeat music doesn't match the claustrophobia of the box and kenophobia of the surrounding space? i only just noticed this but it explains why spaceball has always slightly subconsciously unsettled me 😭 maybe the music would've fit better if the game ended up looking like its title card
@@FairPlay137 or what if this track was composed first and the first spaceball was supposed to have this track too but then they switched them around for some reason
Unused Tengoku content will never fail to surprise me

problem: this syncs way too well for that
