hallo alan, i am always astonished by how easy you make everything seem! watched this video whilst i was waiting for the Expo here in berlin to open its doors, and get my bib-number for the generali half marathon, which is on sunday! must watch it again from ther comfort have my comfy chair and larger screen! regards, colin
Great video, easy to follow and understand. Right at the end you added 2 queries back into the excel sheet but you placed them side by side. What would you need to do if you placed them on above the other as the total number of rows in each is unknown?
If you change in the third record "Excel Basics" by "Power BI" and update the query, the distinct count continues with 3 and no 2 items!!! In the list of courses we see "Power BI, Advanced Excel Formulas, Power BI" and maybe we would like to see "Power BI, Advanced Excel Formulas". I think there is a UNIQUE statement missing when applying Text.Combine...
I correct myself. It would be redundant, because then it would be the same as record 1 and this is not possible, since it is assumed that a kind of key field with the 3 columns is being generated. It's perfect!! Thanks Alan.
Thanks, Iván. Your question could be used in other scenarios. May be useful to know all courses run on that given day and location, and a distinct count of the different courses run on that day and location.
Merci. Vos explications sont toujours claires. Bravo.
Merci beaucoup
you are a great teacher, easy to follow along. Keep up the good work. I highly appreciate your work
Awesome, thank you!
Spectacular work inside the formula bar. It is a CONCATENATEX (Power BI) in all its dimensions, within Power Query. Exceptional Alan!
Thank you, Iván
Fantastic the "false step", then text.combine :)
Thanks Zach 😊
Amazingly explained!
Thank you very much, Eladio.
What a nice video Alan. Especially the use of all the graphics you included (Camtasia?). So clear!!
Thank you, Bart.
Outstanding - as usual :)
Thanks, Andrew 😊

Thank you, Colin. I'm actually in Paris doing the same. Getting my bib number for the marathon on Sunday 🙂

Thank you, Colin. 03:45:40. A battle for the last 10k. Very tough!
How was your race?
