    So I’m assuming you can’t use an Aussiereel on this type of roller since the bands go all the way back on the Pipe?

    You make it look easy with long arms! I have a new RA 1100 Tuna Roller rail gun but my arms are too short! So I load it by using a (cushioned) butt in my inner thigh + a longer (modified) load assist that is over twice the length of standard. According to Rob Allen the pre-load should be between 42lb to max 55lb so it hurts until you get used to it. This is further assisted by wire shark fins welded on to the spear shafts - yes they are straight. I shoulda got an 800 or 900 RA roller gun.

    Yeah those loadassists.. i used those when i just started out and problems loading my 120. Works great but such a pain in the ass to make sure one doesnt loose them. I lost 2 of them in about 4 months and then i gave it up and just learned to load properly without them.. wouldnt recommend keeping them on the upper arm either, lost one of mine that way when i was busy retrieving a fish.

    Can this work with a riffe euro shark fin spear??

    How many 16mm bands can the vector 2 carry?

  • @FaddaWolf
    @FaddaWolf 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    from what i understand, the load assist floats. and most guys put it up on their arm after they load anyway :P
    btw, how strong is the band on that thing? 16? 18? 20?

    • @NautilusSpearfishing
      @NautilusSpearfishing  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep; it does indeed float :)
      Its 16mm but the preload is something pretty serious haha!

    Can you maybe meausure the Pre-Load of this gun ? Guys have said the sweet spot on rollerguns are 20cm to 25cm Pre-Load so im interested in knowing what Rob Allen decided on

    • @NautilusSpearfishing
      @NautilusSpearfishing  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Would say 20cm on these

      Shot! Thank you man

      If these are at 20cm preload, then that must mean the bands are not half the size of the barrel? I’m using 55cm on my 110(half the size of the barrel) and the rubbers don’t reach that close to the handle. Those look like maximum stretch which would be atleast 60cm stretch. Unless the bands are longer. Pls lmk I’m trying to fine tune my roller. Thanks!

    What's this gun like compared to the pathos sniper gun? eg power ,accuracy and loading . Thanks bro

    • @NautilusSpearfishing
      @NautilusSpearfishing  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pathos I would say is a better speargun due to the components and features it has... few would argue. This gun is simple less $$ also can be loaded faster since there is no need for multiple pre tension loads

      @@NautilusSpearfishing I'm a bit surprised of your comment. As far as I'm aware RA is way higher quality, ceramic bearings, overall build. Or was this RA roller gun not the same as it's sold today?

    What is a better and more powerful of gun with Pathos Sniper Roller or Rob Allen Roller?

    • @NautilusSpearfishing
      @NautilusSpearfishing  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both have some serious pre tension.... would say the Pathos with the addition of the kicker band and ET can handle it better

    • @BurhanMuntasser
      @BurhanMuntasser 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      NautilusSpearfishing What's a "kicker band"?

    • @danieljoline5552
      @danieljoline5552 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Burhaneddin Muntasser it an extra standard band you add to a roller to overpower it. Kind of pointless unless you need to penetrate deep when up close otherwise it’ll throw off the shot

    You’ve got practice before recording. Then you can reduce to near zero the number of uh’s that you uh, say. Uh, you know what I uh, mean? 😂

    in my opinion this gun is pretty terrible for todays standards. too many plastic components, still no reverse mechanism, no full stainless steel mechanism, the muzzle is meh....there are no loading "steps" for the roller, handle is not anatomic. in general very clunky design. it looks like a gun produced 20 years ago. well, they should take example from the greek manufacturers. much better quality.

    • @NautilusSpearfishing
      @NautilusSpearfishing  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Alex I will agree with you, I feel very much the same. RA simply fills a lower $$ for some without compromising to much on quality. It may not have all the features you mentioned but can still shoot straight, relaible, and kill fish.

    • @FaddaWolf
      @FaddaWolf 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      RA also holds more records than any other company. There may be fancier guns out there that look nice, but RA does everything it's supposed to and does it well. Not to mention having one of if not the best roller head on the market.

      Alex Sotirakis I had a 1100 dollar bluetec raptor roller, all carbon, multiple stages, stainless mesh, ergo handle, cuttlefish design, the thing shot like shit and came with a 6.75mm shaft... RA may not have the frills but their roller has actually been tested and works well. Also, the head may look clunky but it’s a lot better than most, minus maybe mannysub but that is debatable

      Let me guess where you are from haha, you do have a point though. However I start getting interested in them as I hear 100% positive reviews about them and a lot of them. They seem just very reliable although it's not great design..
