UCLA is great and so is ur tips, but for people like me( who are doing high-school in Iran) these tips may not be the ones that we're looking for. In here when u finish high-school, ur score is out of 20. So when we're applying, we don't know what number we should put in there. It almost feels like the whole process of us studying in iran doesn't mean anything to the foreign universities 😔
My Dream School is UC Berkeley and UCLA. Because they are the campus that offers its students almost everything. UCLA also has a great importance on it's undergraduate students and the economics major there is one of the bestt! UCLA is the best public university, and the location makes me feel more confident ✨ And UCLA has the most number of students applying every year 😭 (Thank you so much for making the videos with soo managed content❤️)
hii di! well im in grade 10 rn, expecting over 96% in my boards.. i actually messed up my grade 9... i missed an exam, and got a c in one of my tests.. rest was all straight A's... i was dealing w depression n anxiety last year, pandemic got really hard on me.. i have been a good student all my life, yk always above 94% among the toppers.. have i lost my chance to get into ucla cuz of my grade 9 marks? i have olympiad medals and extracurriculars like debates, i run a successful blog, i can sing and play instruments, i write well... can i still get in or did grade 9 ruin it all for me? cuz i can assure im gonna give it my best in grade 11 and 12.. im in a much better place, finally finding myself again...

Hey :) I completely understand. It's so confusing for international students. Not taking gpa or ap classes will never hurt you. I took IGCSE and IB, which is what most accepted international students take. Also, they waive the US history requirement for international students and make it so that any social science (economics, geography) would fulfill it. Hope this helps!

California is really nice! We just wanted to be closer to family and experience life in our "home" country, which has honestly been SO fun despite the struggles with college being online. I'll see if I can make a video about this. Are you in a similar situation?
@@mansi_k exact opposite situation. We moved to Seattle 4 years ago from india, but I have found the videos useful haha so thanks (junior in high school now). I miss india but it just doesn't match the standards living that the US gives and my parents wanted a change. I knew a lot of people who would move to india from the states but not so late if you get what I mean (they would be in india before middle school). If you want to sure just make a video on the move haha and also would you guys ever move back to the states?

Hey! If you're an American citizen studying in the CBSE board you won't have to give it, which was the case for me except I did the IB :)
