This is a very timely conversation for me and I caught it in a most serendipitous way!
I am currently writing a book on the concept of Limiting Beliefs; what they are, where they come from and how they stop us from living life on our terms. I knew I had to include my own story of my childhood trauma but I was resistant and second guessing myself about whether or not it was really necessary for me to include it, how much to include etc.
Listening just now to Dr. Levine, I felt all my resistance and doubt dissolve. I know I will include my story now and that it will be helpful both to me and to my readers for me to do so. Thank you so much Dr. Levine. I have preordered your book and look forward to reading and learning from it. And as always Thank You Dr. Chopra for everything that you do🙏

I have only met Dr. Levine in Group Consultation as a student of his SE Certification program and there were many people on the zoom call, but I totally agree with you. He is a wonderfully kind and gentle human and he has contributed so much to the field of trauma. As a therapist and someone who worked on myself for many years, I so appreciate him and his work. I started treating Vietnam Veterans back in the 1980s when we knew so little about treating trauma. Today I treat all types of trauma, including Afghanistan and Iraq combat Veterans. His contributions have pushed my therapy capabilities so far forward. I am so grateful for Dr. Levine. And he is such a good soul.

You find the most helpful guests. Thank you. As someone who has spent her life navigating various forms of trauma I can appreciate ANY technique to help deal with it. We live in a world where people do horrible things to each other, finding ways to heal from those wounds is essential. Hopefully, some day, humans will stop needing to hurt one another. Until then, trauma is part of our existence.

It is significant that he says "am i enough". Its not the right question. We need to be asking who do we serve? Man will never be enough because we are all flawed. Our creator is perfect and He is more than enough.

I am always enough because God made me so.
The challenge is in the realization of that, especially after ego and the world feed us uncertainty and division.
