For videos like this is why I love this channel. The variety is so great that I actually feel there's something else other than nikes. I love my forums and recently saw there's a "championship" on the confirmed app and the BSTN and Kasina collabs look amazing, really looking forward to them getting the win.

Im so glad you bring the HISTORY most of the new generation have no idea how important adidas was to basketball culture. Adidas was on point with the 80s technology. Also something to note whenever adidas puts the year number next to the name they make it look aged and vintage and they keep everything original to the way it was made that year. For example the Forum 84 / Centennial 85 / Rivalry 86 all those models are way more elevated than the ones that are made without the year in the name.
This is also what jordan did with the lost n found
I bought a pair of the highs and two pair of the lows months ago. Definitely flying under the radar and not getting any attention at all but one of my favorite sneakers out right now!! Compared to a lot of sneaker’s releasing these days they feel absolutely amazing.

Definitely prefer the low over the high! But I think I like the forums a bit more but the leather looks nice on these

Never thought I'd see this shoe. I didn't even know it was a model. It looks nice. The back rib section reminds me of the Jordan 2.

Man I’m an Old Head. And back in the early 80’s…Adidas was KING.
If you Hooped…you had on FORUMS. Adidas Forums where the “Jordans” of the 80’s.
It’s no secret why MJ wanted to sign with Adidas. Adidas had the best basketball shoes hands down.
Nike was known more for TRACK shoes. If you ran track…then you wore Nikes. That’s what the Cortez was.
But BASKETBALL…it was strictly Adidas then maybe Converse.
I’m from Detroit where they STILL rock Adidas TOP TENS over Jordan’s.

Personally I Adidas provide better materials in general especially their retro shoes. I would pick the highs for all that luscious suede 😊

The sentinel Duke colorway was my favorite. Johnny Dawkins was flying in those. That Olympic trials Forum photo of Jordan was fire even way back in 1984.

Great review! I actually strongly prefer the high in this case despite the tepid AF color blocking. Something about the shape seems better.
The Forum 84 remains the pinnacle for quality on a retro IMO

I was torn between the Centennial 85 lows in White/Green or the NB 550's in White/Green. Both looked incredible in photos, but I eventually decided on the 550's. Love that this was covered though, as I finally see it on foot. Might end up getting these as well!

So was I! I ended up choosing the 85 low because Adidas doesn’t have the same history of racism that NB does
I have these highs and I find they fit a bit snug compared to all my Js that I have in the same size. All the reviews I’ve seen say the Centennial highs fit large but was not the case for me. Wicked shoe though. Materials make it super comfy on top of the foot. Makes all AJ1s seem stiff in comparison. (Coming from someone who owns a lot of them!)
The lows go hard
Nothing better than walking in Wilson Leather or any real leather store then smelling all of genuine top quality leathers permeating through the air.
But for real the lows look dope! Much better than the highs IMO
Aesthetically I prefer the highs over the lows. However, I preffer the color convination of the lows so hope they end up using those on the highs.
Played in those. Great traction. hi looks better. Loved the KNICKs colorway in the Rivalry. That was THE SHOE!
hell yeah! I got the green centennial 85 lows - majestic shoes, people will admire you. Only thing I dont like about it is the comfort level if I wear it

It's so good to finally see Adidas starting to step up. It felt like all the other brands were leaving Adidas behind. Now, they hit us with the Harden 7 and these.
I saw the highs and went "okaay okay they look pretty dang nice", then I saw the lows and went "DAYUM" and whispered "i need those"

I copped the lows in cream/grey a while back now. Deffo sleepers. They're just not given the promo the forums get. Keep getting approval nods on the underground commute.
I bought these when I was England. For some reason they were only available on the UK adidas site while I was there. I could not order them from that site to be shipped to my house in the US so I found a reliable third party retailer and was litterally on the plane when I pressed “confirm” they shipped from Sweden because apparently the 85 lo were only released in Europe. That made me want them all the more.

Prefer the high top version, not really a fan of the lows ( not a fan of low top versions from retro basketball silhouettes in general... ) but I'll wait for better colourways to come...

Technically she took her legs out of the equation and substituted yours. 🤣I really like the amount of suede on the high tops. If the lows were all suede instead of having some leather, I think I would prefer them.

I was kinda surprised when I saw these, because they seem bulkier than what I remember Centennials looked like and now that you put the pictures of the OG I can confirm it. They look really nice and interesting nonetheless but I gotta give it to the lows, there's a green and yellow colorway of those that I really want to purchase, and talking about the highs there's a brick-like colorway that looks very nice but I'd prefer to get the green ones

@@WearTesters hopefully we do, both highs and lows deserve more colorways, and adidas should release more of these 80’s basketball pairs, I have liked centennials, forums and top tens since I was a kid so it’s pretty cool to see them again. I was telling my sister the other day how slick the continental 85 Lows look. then I went on Adidas's site and I did see new colorways for the high tops that are all leather and they are fire. great review.
I want the highs but the colors and materials aren't to my liking right now. I'm hoping they release a white leather base with green stripes and a gum sole. That would be ultimate 80s.

Adidas seemingly slay Nike on material quality on retros at the moment. I got a pair of forum mids for my wife and the leather was so much better than that on the Jordan's I got.

I’ve always loved Adidas, but I feel they lost their way for a bit, and for the past 6 months they have been in their bag. Over the last couple of months I’ve been fortunate enough to pick up the philthy x NMD S1, Adifom, Adi2000, Rivalry Low 86, and I will likely be adding these to the list.
I've been wanting a pair of forums for a while now because I had a pair in high school. I didn't want the strap though and this is definitely a good option.
There are some forums without removable straps and there are some without straps at all. Most are Mids or lows though.
@@WearTesters I've seen that and was considering the Wood Wood collab because it didn't have it and love the color way. I found a pair of all white mid forums in Marshalls but I have a wide foot so that felt too tight to me.

The Adidas Continental 80s is still my go to but the suede on these boys is tempting with how buttery it looks.
As soon as I'm halfway thru the video I immediately logged into my adidas app and guess what it wasn't there what a bum.

The Lows seem to have released overseas and not in the States. If you google search the shoe you can find it at various retailers.
