    i have to comment on the fact that you are the first crocheter that i have watched who holds their yarn in the left hand the same way i do! and i have watched many youtubers! i thought i was strange!

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rosemary! Oh you are absolutely not strange. I’ve had quite a few people comment on my videos over the years that they hold their yarn tension finger the same way! And all of them say just what you said, they thought they were doing it weird or wrong. Honestly, there are so many different ways I have seen people hold their yarn tension hand that it all boils down too what feels right and most comfortable for you; the one whose crocheting. 😊. Just do you. 😁❤️❤️❤️🧶

    I love the color combo of that specialty yarn you used! It's very earthy. Pattern is super great also just like you said very relaxing and repetitive.

    Loved it Tiffany!🥰 Thanks so much for sharing!! Can you tell me though how you got the colors of the yarn to block so well??🤔 I always seem to struggle with that!!🤦‍♀️

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Pam! That is a great question! Honestly, when it comes to a variegated yarn or self color changing yarn, there is no real way to get the colors to hit at the right spot to change. One might buy the next no. The only sure way to get colors to hit evenly to change perfect at the start of a new row is to color control the project. This is done by using multiple solid colors and you control when the color will change. Another thing I have seen people do is take their skein of self color changing yarn and cut the different sections out and rejoin according to how they want the pattern to look. This way you can still use the beautiful colors within the skein. The yarn designer has combine the colors for you so you don’t have to worry which colors to put together. But now you have the power for the colors to change when you want them to. Just a thought. Hope this helps. 😊🧶❤️

    Hi there, I have watched you/your videos A LOT in recent months. I *finally* bought a pretty nice needles/“notions” kit and am ready (I think!) to embark on a REAL project - I think this men’s scarf. If I mess it up, it’ll just be for me! I am a 55yr old man (!), and have felt for a while that I wanted to learn how to either knit or crochet; crocheting somehow seems more fitting. AND… It is DEF an homage to my Mother (passed away) who did both, but in later years crocheted almost exclusively. She made me the afghan I took to Duke with me freshman year (in Duke colors!) that I had for years and years until it literally started to fall apart! So, I apologize (this is long!), I wanted to ask you if the (I hope I can attach the screen shots) particular wool option I’ve found on eBay (altho cheaper elsewhere) would be the best/your recommended type yarn to make your scarf.

    I like the idea of having it being a continuous mixed-color yarn, so I don’t have to worry about changing colors/yarns at this early point in my learning. Is it the “3” weight? It doesn’t seem to say. So… I would be SOO GRATEFUL if you would just point to/recommend a yarn that you would optimally recommend and I can find/source it at the best price. (One of your links in your notes didn’t work, so that’s part of the reason I am asking separately. OMG!, this has been LONG. Again, I’m sorry! But, I am REALLY PSYCHED to get started! Thanks for any help you can provide. My name is Dennis. And, the Vizsla pooch is my Lukas!! Best to you. 😊
