Thank you for the clear instructions on how to make this masculine scarf. I've only made scarves with bright girly colors. By seeing you use these colors and the rice stitch together, it is perfect.🤩😍👋
I love this. I think my husband will love this I want to make him one his birthday is the 6 off this month so it can be a surprise. Thanks for cheering this. Yes men need to have same love too ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🦴🦴
This is great for those of us struggling with arthritis. I used to love doing fine, complicated pieces, but after developing cuboidal tunnel syndrome and two types of arthritis, I have had to scale up to simpler pieces with larger gauges of yarn. This still satisfies the look I like in a finished piece, because it's so easy to keep tension, making even . I also like a variant of this stitch for hats, because it's so stretchy. Thank you for your inspiration.
Greetings to you Alison and Muttely from Essex. Alison my dear hope you and Muttley are keeping well. I love this pattern and colours. A good project to make for the homeless men. Thank you very much for this lovely tutorial. Take care and keep safe. God bless you and Muttley. 🤗💐🙋♀️
Thank you for this, been looking for something different for a scarf for my husband. I've had the yarn for a while, but not decided on stitch. This is perfect. Really good to see suggestions for men. Not enough around. Thanks also for taking the time to instruct on the fringe - first class. Just love your teaching. Many thanks all round 🥰
I made a scarf for my husband in those colours last year. I bought the yarn from Marriners, I had one ball multi coloured and one ball in a mink brown. The yarn was so soft to work with.
I really love this style/pattern. I also love this color, unfortunately we don’t have this brand in the US but I’ve found something similar. I can’t wait to crochet this for my husband. Thank you!
Lovely looking scarf. I think this would make a nice cowl also...using a #5 weight yarn would work up quickly. BTW, I have made cowls and fringed the bottom of them, and they look amazing. I bet this yarn would be fabulous as a fringed cowl, too. Thanks for sharing. 🤗
I'm working on a scarf in gray in this stitch pattern 😁❤it. It feels really soft in plain worsted yarn (Red Heart "with love" brand). Once done, gonna make a brown blanket with worsted yarn also in this stitch pattern. And the red scarf for me in it😃.
Allison can you tell me the name of this stitch??? Thank you so much I also have arthritic problems and fibromyalgia! This stitch is easy on my wrists too, not too much twisting on the right one!
That's annoying. Wendy have discontinued this wool. Serves me right for finding this 3 years too late. I've got some merino left. I'm going to do my dad a neck warmer for his Christmas. Thanks x
@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel I will the next time I make it. It's lovely and easy to do. I'm doing it in a very dark grey, which doesn't accentuate the stitch.
do your chain to the width you like, i have family who like skinny scarves and some like them wide so its up to you, (if you already have a scarf you like do the chain to the width that one is)

You did not say how many chains to start the project, you did the chains and you a dc in 5he mouth chain. I need to know how many chains to start.
