8th grader here (5'7ft), this is easily one of the best "do you want it more than the guy next to you??" vids I've seen. I've always been the kid who would try the hardest throughout practice and games but not do enough at home. It's gotten me through competition at this age but my parents and I both know 'I' Have to do the work. I've always wanted; to want it enough. I just haven't but with this plan I *will* follow these steps you pointed out. Thanks allot man, immediately subbed. I've wanted to want to work hard enough too long. This video helped me realize that.
Thank you man very informative i really do want a to go to big league s one day not the best player in my high school team but i started hitting the weight room wich most of my team never dose
Then you’re eating enough. It’s harder for some guys based on body type and metabolism. I had to eat a ton to see growth. Friends of mine didn’t have to eat nearly as much.
Hey Man! I just found your channel! Love the videos! For the last year I have hit 7 days a week and lifted 6 days a week(exceptions for game days) and my numbers have skyrocketed. I went from 120 lbs to 165 lbs and I squat 405 bench 225 and deadlift 385. I run a 6.8 69 yard dash. I’m struggling to get attention from varsity coaches because I am a sophomore. Any advice what to do? Thanks!
Just keep your head down and keep grinding. Be the hardest worker on the team. Don't care what anyone else thinks. Put the work in and the results you seek will follow.
I’m not a strength coach so take this with a grain of salt. Kids need to do the most popular/big lifts. Bench, Squat, etc. Add in some explosive Olympic lifts as well and you’re probably on the right track for general strength.
I’m kind of confused. I’m a seventh grader twelve years old 5’8 150 pounds I already go to the gym twice a week. But at what age should you start going really hard in the gym?
I believe its hard to say “6000 calories” because it could be in the form of fast food and candy which causes you to of course become a “slob”. But if you eat like an healthy athlete, that’s when 6000 calories becomes a huge game changer.
And something that doesn’t get TH-cam views but the truth… do your homework. Tons of above-average high school baseball players, but not a ton with over a 3.0 GPA. That’s an easy filter for college coaches. Same player, less risk.

I love it.
Everybody “wants” it. It’s the players that are willing to do things they don’t want to do that become great.
This is absolutely golden information, hopefully this gets more views
Thank you!
Thanks so much this was very helpful
Your welcome! Appreciate the feedback.
Thank you!
You bet!

You’re on the path. Keep walking it everyday!
Haven’t really tracked my calories and went from 131 pounds beginning freshman year to 167 pounds sophomore year in terms of body weight

Agreed, these kids need to start going harder in the weight room and eating more. Walking around with twig arms is not going to help your game
TRUE
Can you give us splits with the best and most useful exercises/lifts that we should all be doing?

I’ve always said this for a while now dude. The minor leagues of today is the major leagues of that past.
@@GA_AG23 I’m not sure I would go that far but I get your point.
S right practice makes perfect!
100%
Is protein powder a good source to count towards the 150 grams and would you recommend a 14/15 year old taking it?
Yes. Get as much from Whole Foods as possible. Protein powder is great.
How often do you think a high school pitcher should be throwing?
Playing catch? Multiple times a week.
Throwing bullpens? Depends on how many pitches but at least 1 per week.

Once you hit 9th grade go HARD!
Don’t forget flexibility training also
For sure.
Do notttt eat 6000 calories a day adjust it to your metabolism and calories burned
Crazy. I did it for 3 months and put on 20lbs of muscle.
@ That was for your metabolism so people will be fat slobs from that much calories everything else was good though
@@braydenthomas5849people think they can defy physics and thermodynamics, laughable

Point Blank!!!!
Gotta be honest!
6000 calories a day is a bit to much. you will just get fat and gain unneeded weight
@@CobyGuillory1 did it. Didn’t get fat. Got faster. Got stronger.
@@EliteSportsAdvisingESA You must have done a LOT of training to not get fat. In order to stay in shape, we have to burn more calories than we eat.
