I used a univolt as my dungeon traveler since it could go through the doors. Lightning stab lets you clear rooms fast as well as gobfin farming. It could run from group to group and kill all 3 with just the cheap aoe that would be off cooldown when you got to the next group. That was back before we could ranch it.
The run speed is the killer on this one. Its got a base 720 speed which is pretty much a standard early game mount however it falls way behind the pyrin (850) and lacks almost all of the agility from good acceleration. Especially on the alpha version it really feels like you are slogging through mud when riding it for some reason. IMO it absolutely has a place in progression as along with Chillet it gives super early (14) applies damage while mounted, however it is pretty quickly replaced by Beakon. I'd breed one with Swift early on, but its not worth taking past there.
Beakon is my go to when it comes to travelling early-mid game until I'm able to get a better flight pal. I find Univolt too slow but not a bad pal to help around base, same with Beakon. My ground mount is always going to be Fenglope after I use Direhowl and level up to be able to make its saddle. I guess Univolt as an attack steed you could add burly body, swift, vanguard/stronghold and legend. as an attack/possible raid boss pal could be capacitor, lord of lightning, burly body and legend?
I like buying Univolt early game from the Pal dealer in small settlement, it helps with the Penking and Azurobe. Not a great mount but it gets the job done.

Hey just wondering if anyone knows if you breed 2 alpha pals will there be at least an increase chance for the egg to become an alpha pal?
Pretty sure it's a set % of eggs hatched that comes out alpha so I don't think so
Its like 5% on any breed
