Dude that looks so amazing... (I've heard about a lot of TH-cam videos getting flagged for audio lately... even when it's from TH-cam's own free music source.) Keep up the great work!
was not a huge deal....but yeah I just pulled it down immediately even though I didn't get a strike...they are automated claims against the music you have....I can always make some of my own down the road...hopefully they don't flag that!! haha thanks!
Hey brother, I love watching great artists at their craft. A few suggestions to make your content a bit more palatable are: 1. Talk about a future projects and ideas. The direction this one drawing is taking you and how excited you are about the next one. 2. Always show your individual technique and tell us how you came to develop it. Artists love that! 3. Never say "Bye" to your audience. It's always something along the line of, "That about wraps this video up and be sure to watch what comes next!", or "Glad you all watched and 'Liked' the video, be sure to Subscribe to see what I draw next!" Leave us on a positive note that makes us looking forward to your next video, not a final farewell. You've got great skills and talent and I know you will make awesome videos for us all! Can't wait to see it!!! (See what I did there? 😜👍)

So I’ve been with James for a cry long time . Lol I was there when many thought that his laugh was fake, when he was trying to workout , taking us to his classes , and all while having family time . And what did it for him was he kept going . But Jane took off in one year time . When he was doing he detailed drawings , adding his family factor along his challenges and co ops and much more , his subs flew through the roof. He and ZHC did something and James shared it with him, but look at the material they are putting out. A lot of click bait but backed up by “most detailed drawing ever “ or “drawing for 100hrs” those tag lines is working . Someone helped them like Kong. They bought into something . I can’t say. Copy the material and you’ll blow up too. Trust me .
hahaha awesome thanks. I really need more eyes on this channel...it's tough man. But I respect the followings those guys have built. it's really incredible.
Taking another look at some old stuff....this is awesome. Interesting the pivoting that takes place in the life of an artist...definitely a pleasant unknown journey...I’m sure glad you aren’t doing what James is doing now. Some stuff is great but he is striving to be a number one influencer. And that takes away from the art....look at young fenom zhc his art was getting good he landed work...but now he’s full time TH-cam making doodles and giving shit away.....I miss the art, call me an old sucker but quality is sacrificed...something has to give and it’s always quality....I want to be we’re you are now...with subs and art, and I think I’ll be good there
Jack Pendergrass While I am no professional inker, from many inkers and artists I have heard from, it’s a lot of personal preference. With the dip pen you can use hand pressure to control the line thickness. The problem with that, is you have to be very mindful of your hand pressure to keep it consistent. Same thing with using a brush. Just personal preference and how much control you want to have.
Hours and hours and hours. Then some more haha theres no quick way to do it. Just study and draw everyday. Keep it up and youll notice a difference. Andrew loomis has great books on it. Good luck !
oh. Well in comics, it's generally a collaborative method. One artist will pencil, and then another will ink the final traditionally (or digitally) now more artists ink themselves. You can color over pencils but it doesn't have the appeal to many comic fans. In fact a lot hate that look (darkened pencils with digital colors over them). so it's kind of like you have to feel out your fan base and see what they'll accept!
@@RichardFriendartist Sorry! I just read some of the comments underneath and found out that you were the inker. Personally, I just sometimes find when pencils go to inks, the art loses some of it's character and becomes more of the "generic comic book look". I guess it's a personal taste. The inking in the above video is great though! There's a real fluid quality to your work. Btw, do you know of any book that uses darkened pencils with digital colors over them?
Silvestry's pencil and your inks is like poetry made in heaven
Thanks so much. Really appreciate it !
Thank you for this video Mr Friend.
Yea, I am really enjoying this as well

Beautiful ink lines on this one man.
Holy God, this looks amazing 😍
Sweet artwork!
Silvestri rules!
You are so giving as a artist. Great video.
I can totally recommend Your Patreon. It is full of great videos and solid info and guidance, both as regards the tools and the business.
Thank you for doing this!
Really cool video! Can't wait for your comic to come out!

Rich, is this pencil available online? I mean, a higher-res version like this?

Freaking SICK "really really cool"
How u sell ur inked page eben its not an original
My question is : is there a noticeable difference between the ink in the technical pens vs the dip pens ?

Honestly, how long will it take for me to become profeccient at drawing? How much practice a day?
Hours and hours and hours. Then some more haha theres no quick way to do it. Just study and draw everyday. Keep it up and youll notice a difference. Andrew loomis has great books on it. Good luck !
Why not just use the pencil drawing and darken it in Photoshop for printing? You can avoid the time of inking.
