Great instrumental technique, thanks for sharing. Keep up the great work. I just met David Finch here in Phoenix Comicon. Nice guy. Keep making videos like this. Gracias 😊
Another wonderful video Jimmy! Glad you started using professional illustrator as your job title. Your pencil work is just as awesome as your inks. Love the tissue effect.
Thanks man, very good advice. I love these paper tissue effects, but tbh I'm not able to illustrate 'em properly. That's gonna Change now. Again, thank you, your how-to is highly appreciated.
Thanks for sharing your tips and please keep sharing your awesome talent sir.☺️💕 Hi, I’m your newest follower. God bless and please keep safe always.🙏🏻
Hi Jimmy! I loved it and the tissue effect looked really good on the planet. It did look like it's a dry planet full of gas. I loved the figure too. How did you do the light shining effect thing on the right side? It looks very precise
That tissue effect is one of the masterstrokes in Jim Lee's drawings!... great demonstration brother 👍
old school pencil and ink will always be the best in my opinion.

Bro I LOVE your work. You are super talented.

Such a fantastic art ink hack.
Super helpful. You are officially the Bob Ross of inking. Thank you for dropping the knowledge.
Nobody gonna say anything about how he covered the signature
That's life😢
Incrível 😮
i use tracing paper to trace the line edge and again overlay it on the artist tape or masking and use knife to cut over it..
Never thought of this, amazing!
That was really cool. Did have a related question: What's the deciding factor in when to use the tissue vs. when to use a sponge/
Awesome as always jimmy. I picked up tissue inking from watching a lot of Jim lee. Pretty awesome.
Such a great tip, I’ll def be using that! I really appreciate you sharing that with us
Thank you for sharing!!! It really really works

Put the tape on thin plastic just before scissoring to cut without curling

So it's like jim lee's sponge method. That makes things easier to understand.
Could have shown you how to texture/detail the surface.
Tissue paper?!!!!! I'm front seat row.
I had a good laugh with your cowboy tissue scenario

This was pulled from Jimmy Reyes YT channel. I saw this video like two years ago from his channel
I've protected my expensive brushes in the past by using Gum Arabic... Dunk, form tip and let dry for next time :) Thanks Jimmy!!!
This was Awesome, Wish you didn't skip over how you inked that flare effect though. Other than that this was a great and informative video. Thx
This illustration is amazing!
....mask the whole leg to make long stroke tissue inking(vs dabbing/spotting. Thousands of hacks over here

@@JimmyReyesArt thank you! I'll check it out :)
Jimmy, I've seen a lot of artist create a "halo" around the figure when it's surrounded by black like this, do you not do this or just not this time?
@@JimmyReyesArt Glad you didn't, looks better the way you did without the halo.
Question: Do they still use this type of method in Comic industry even with digital tools available?
Hanselxyb yes
