Got mine a few days ago. Been playing with it non-stop. It's like a mini improved version of the 80's toy that you can fiddle around with at your desk without it taking up too much space. I'm really glad I got it. I love this toy.
This set brings me back to the days when we’d get play-sets with the cyberverse commander class figures, back during DOTM and TFP. So I’m really hoping they make more of these! Also, phenomenal review as always PvP :D

A great set with fun accessories included A g1 toy head redeco of Bee as Bumper was menrioned in the forums, and I quite agree. If we can't get Glyph, Rest-Q, or Tap-Out from the Deluxe mold then repaint them from this mold too.
I’m mostly a Bayverse fan but also like g1 and I don’t want to spend a lot of money on larger deluxes and voyagers while also spending lots on my live action movie collection so the core class line is truly a blessing, they also make good fidget/desk toys
I picked up the previous release of this core Bumblebee. I only did it at the time because I was having Bee-madness leading up to the release of his Origins figure. But I've since come to think of him as an unofficial Generations Bumper (Bumblejumper). Honesty I really hope some 3P company does an OS KO of him to act as MP scale.
@@PrimeVsPrime Yeah, poor Bumper. His Microchange brothers Bumblebee and Cliffjumper went on to glory. And when they added another yellow minibot hallway between the two, nope, Hubcap instead. Always the bridesmaid never the bride for Bumper. Lol Chris McFeely does a great Basics of Bumper just FYI.
I always felt that I wanted Earthrise Optimus since I wanted a Prime that came with a trailer but honestly I think this is a nice alternative unless you absolutely need a voyager size Prime.
Ya the trailer is what suckered me into buying him. I still will enjoy having these two. They are both such awesome core figures. Sucks that Optimus Prime's wheels don't move well when attached to the trailer. Great review Prime.
I always though core class was only needed for tiny characters like cassete bots, MINICONS ETC but now I actually like these and they are perfect if you want to display them with Titan classes or combiners
I mean, the core class Soundwave does come with a non-transformable Laserbeak, but I would like something like Frenzy and Rumble as figures scaled for the core class line
I would probably get this just for the trailer as I think the original release of Optimus looked better. Yeah the new one is more animation accurate but also more bland in certain areas. I like the darker red, the extra silver trim on the front of the truck, the metallic waist and thighs and I personally prefer the silver shins. Only thing this new one has over the older for me is the silver rims on the cab and the orange energon axe. I like the Bumblebee but damn if I don't wish some 3rd Party company would just KO the thing and reshell it into a Beetle.
I just noticed, if there was cliffjumper than they would obviously just use bumblebees body to use as they have done it multiple times. This would mean that another bot can go into primes trailer.
I think the trailer makes it worth it to tolerate the abhorrent truck proportions, and its pretty cool to get another release of bumper even if it still has the wrong head.
The truck proportions arent even that bad, youre just discouraged from looking at it head-on. Thankfully, I didn't get the original releases for the two figures, so it makes the decision to get this set easier.
I initially didn't want this set since I had every other core class figure, but the more I looked at it, the more I loved all the additional accessories and play value
I bought this from from Hasbro Pulse and TBH, the scaling hella annoys me. Bumblebee's vehicle mode is huge compared to Prime's truck mode. Even the trailer's too big for Prime's truck mode. Prime should've just been bigger

Yeah, while I already have Kingdom Core Class Optimus Prime, I like to think this set's definitely speaking to me as well, especially in the case of the surprisingly good Core scale trailer and Roller most of all (despite Optimus having poorly rolling wheels). Plus, I sadly missed out on that particular Core Class Bumblebee the last time around, so why not (I missed out on Netflix Bumblebee as well, so this'd be close enough anyway, even though I actually have Goldbug). :) I certainly hope this makes an appearance in the Forbidden Planet store anyway.
More than appearing similar to his VW Beetle form from G1, he has the Penny Racer tab on his rear end. The original brief for the Mini-bots in their original Japanese toy line was "Penny Racers that turn into robots".

I do like that this Optimus Prime has blue legs. The silver adds more visual appeal but blue is animation accurate and I’d rather that paint be allocated elsewhere.
Absolutely love the core class figures! The art on the box or the legacy figures have been fantastic too! The fact they included the trailer with accessories and a little roller is absolutely glorious! Love these so much! Even though i already have optimus and think the orignal, while not ad cartoon accurate, looks a tad nicer, I knew i HAD to get this when i first saw it announced! Glad to have core bee! Just bought it! They're adorable! Love em! Good stuff, man! 😅😁👌🏻
I know it won't happen but imo it would've been awesome if Hasbro made a Core Class figure of Autobot Jazz to complete the main 5 Autobots, Optimus Prime,Bumblebee,Jazz,Ironhide, and Ratchet :)
the fact the core class got a roller but the leader didn't is insane. yeah i know they made an accessory pack with a roller but that pack sold out real fast
If we ever get a roller that transforms, he’d probably have to be his own core class figure, compatible with core prime’s trailer, or maybe leader earthrise prime’s trailer due to his core class size🤷♂️
@@PrimeVsPrime I think the reason why it isn’t so flimsy is cause the hinges aren’t so close as they were on the earthrise trailer and it’s not so big, regardless if it came out of 2020 or not
Nice review man, I got my set in on Friday from ID toys. I more or less agree with everything you said, my Optimus is super solid, even the core figure feels much better than previous releases. The trailer is great, and fits perfectly on TFP Cyberverse Commander Prime. But my Bumblebee is a bit of a floppy mess, which kind of sucks for £37 😅, definitely wait for a sale on this set imo
7:32 pretty sure bumblebee never used that gun in g1 unless you consider devastation canon. It was introduced later on and has kind of become a signature blaster but I don't think he ever used guns.
I have managed to tab my optimus in correctly, those tabs where miles away from the holes when transforming him but the hinge those front wheels are on actually manoeuvres in so that the wheels tab in, the tab in the crotch tabs in and then the roof flab covers the back and also tabs in and if you can get all 3 parts tabbed in right you'll be ok (took me ages and to the point I thought I would snap the front wheels off
The feet are also the same as the one I bought from ebay when I started my collection and was the first modern bumblebee I owned, I think it was either legends class potp or combiner wars I think
If Hasbro does an 86 Optimus Prime I'm hoping they fixed the flaws my copy has unfortunately fallen victim to, the right hand is unable to hold weapons of any kind including the blaster he came with, and whenever his head turns to the left, it becomes loose like a bobblehead, aside from that, just the general paint scratches and what not.
Yeah my Prime’s head has loosened up a lot over the past few months (probably because I keep taking it off for photos😅) but yeah it would be cool if they redesign this guy!
I’d like to see an Ultra Magnus repaint of Core Optimus Prime with a new Deluxe or Voyager sized trailer that combines to form the larger robot. The trailer could form the robot by itself but obviously requires the core toy in vehicle mode.
The reveal video you have just dropped I have commented that I guarantee they just enlarge all this and release it for its 40th as the colours and trailer are spot on as well as the axe

The trailer highlights just how undersized the ER version is. The ER trailer is barely taller than ER prime. The CC trailer in contrast is roughly twice as tall as CC Prime. This is much more in scale in relation to G1 and is what I hope for with commander class 86 prime.

I couldn't get the original Core Class Bumblebee when it came out, so I'm definitely gonna pick this one up.

This is not even close to being twice the size of CC Prime. He is just a smidge taller compared to the ER version.
That Bee looks more like Bumblejumper.
