Definitely great for practice but not a replacement for an actual canvas since cardboard will absorb water and lose it's shape.
Would've definitely done this in my school and college days 😝
Don't mix water in the colours or instead use acrylic colours
Take 2-3 layers of art paper . Don't use normal papers

I will try to do it.. but will it get soaked after using cardboard n will it ruin the painting if i add water more?? Lets give another idea to that cardboard thingy.. i think better to use wood or something?

This canvas is suitable for beginners . Very cost friendly. Just a tip: you can apply a layer of gesso on the Bukram so that it becomes a bit waterproof.

@@jaishivshiv6985 Gesso is primer for acrylic paints. It improves the surface of the canvas, gives it perfect even absorption and texture when you paint using acrylics. You can see the paint looks patchy and uneven on the buckram canvas in the video, that's because some parts of the canvas absorbs more paint than the others. It will not happen when you use gesso. Factory made Gesso is expensive and cost over 100rs for 100ml. But you can make it yourself by mixing plaster of Paris, Fevicol (any PVA type white glue will do) and white acrylic paint. There are also other recipes that use chalk powder, white cement, limestone powder or baby powder instead of plaster. search for homemade gesso recipes.
It's good for beginners who are learning and don't want to spend lot of money on canvas. It's a good alternative for beginners.
A good canvas cost around 1600 for 6 pcs. It's too bad for a beginner to wreck it up, unless you are rich😃
I will definitely try this. I am in a beginner to intermediate level and I used A3 sized paper and acrylic colors. Funny but I used it.

it is not a canvas ...canvas is very thick....it is a paper on a cardboard .....
@@ishansingh7776 actually if u see the normal canvases they are thin only like cardboard maybe u r taking about stretched canvases which are very big

card board which would absorbs water and becomes soggy in no time, is not suitable for making canvas board for painting. This may be cheaper but unsuitable.

after that, we should have to apply gesso on bukram cloth?
I tried painting on it(bukram) but it didn't work out for me. All the fibres came off of it. What bukram are you using?

If you r using the thiner one which is like net or you can see the other side for its veryyy tiny squares then it won't work. But if you use the other type of bukram called Fujin or something like that which usually been placed on fabrics using heat or iron then it may work. Thankk you.

Thank you. This will work well for people like me with financial problems and also for decorating more informal rooms like bedrooms etc. It will decorate while it lasts. Very affordable. So if you need to sell you make prices different from real canvas to cheaper " canvases "

Can I use it for oil painting
I just have few constructive criticism (not complaining, just trying to be helpful being a photographer and videographer): use non noisy back ground. Plain grey color back ground. Grey is very neutral which makes other color pop. If possible, keep the camera right above the work space to eliminate reflections and shadows. Add additional lighting at 30 degree angle with wax paper in front of it to diffuse it. If possible, try to do it in a mosquito net to keep flies out of videos. Good luck! 👍🍀

Dear you can use Water which you get from Stationery Shop and you can wash your brushes with normal water

Canvas is a different type of cloth and u are using a paper and cardboard
what she used is a cloth. it's used along with other clothing, like in collars,kurtas and insides of many clothes as she mentioned.

Main material is the- Buckram (a stiff cloth) which is easily available at Sewing Tailor or shops that sell cloth material for sewing purpose.. After getting that simply cut and paste it on a rough & tough cardboard just like a canvas board. 👍

Mam, i really appreciate your idea,but its not very useful,this idea can be used by the beginner because they don't make paintings for others and don't even hang them for so long time,so its gud for them. But for the rest of the artist,this idea will never work,as a paper cardboard don't have a long life and it will get ruined and it will effect the painting also.
