This was the 1st episode recorded during the lockdown. Those fragments of conversations represent common everyday things which weren't common everyday things anymore. People who spoke came from different regions and there are different accents showing that everyone is involved.
He signed up late to Singer 2020, and took a plane to arrive just hours before the first show. He did a run through of his song "Jackdaw Boy" with the technicians, and appeared onstage dressed in his travelling clothes, as he didn't have time to change. Do yourself a favour Fil, and watch THAT performance. Absolutely in my Top 5 Hua Hua Performances. Don't know if he and lighting technician planned it (in which case so clever). If they ad libbed it, just shows his genius at work.
I remeber when this was new. The world was quaratined, no one knew if we were gonna live another Day, or someone close not making it. It was scary, and sad. And Hua Chen Yu showed exactlythat with this song. The end was acctualy perfect at the time, maybe not do much no, it doesnt hit the same. It was people in every Day life, people he had gotten close to, and didn't have the oportunity to meet, be with... hug. And it was that what we all missed, normal every Day life, with people around us. And, we didnt know if it would ever Come back back then. He showed it so well with this song ❤
When this song came out, we in the USA, were in lockdown and wonder when it was ever going to be an end. This song, Hua Hua's delivery and emotions really touched me. He was the light in a pretty scary time. This is a gorgeous and deeply meaningful song...thanks Fil for your sensitive understanding of it. 💞💞
He really focused not only the song but also the instrumental, there is heart beating throughout the song. Love this song so much. He poured out his heart into this song sincerely. ❤️🌹🌹
Fil, what a start! To the series and the song. Wow, this is beautiful. Lovely musical arrangement with the lamenting guitar and reinforcing backing vocals #QcumberSquad #HuaChenyu - Fil, I'm off to the Fast East corner of my study.
Thanks to Alina, you met Hua in 2013. We watched those first videos of him countless times and it seems impossible to us how someone could do such a miracle with himself. At the cost of a lot of work but, I think, that without sacrifice he became an icon that helps many people to overcome. I think that the concerts that Hua does after 10 years are still a thank you to those who welcomed him with open arms in that contest and until today. I wish more people around the world could open their arms to him. For my part Thank you Hua Chenyu 💖💖
You are right, he changed his voice, instrument, costume, everything changed according to the music piece that he need perform, this song he composed for the patient of Covid during the lockdown time of 2020, the conversation at the end of song, is the regular daily life before the covid, for me, the song bring me hope, told me and comfort me that bad day will gone, and the hope and the bright future will come, ❤this song, thanks for your great reaction, and special thanks to Roses to request this ,❤❤❤
Hua Chenyu had a very isolated, sad, lonely and abusive childhood. Music helped him come out of his shell, express his feelings and connect with people. He's come so far. His music is genius.
@@peggy_tanAbandonment is abuse however I am sure it was more than that Have you heard his song "Dad I am Home"? It seemed very real and poignant. I am sure there is a reason his mother was not in the picture.
@@olgakolarik9081 Dad, I'm Home is a cover of Jay Chou's song, and is based on Jay Chou's real experience, not Hua's. Hua's parents divorced but his was not abandoned. His dad was just very busy at work and not home much.
So glad you reacted to this song and thank you Rosa for all your suggested request. Such a moving inspiring song and can be applied to any circumstances in tragedy and not take things for granted. Btw, did you catch the heart beat?

Just want to clarify that his childhood was lonely but it wasn't abusive.
That is why he is the song he sings; feels it deeply and resonates to us all!
