Favorite player of alltime , watched all his games in a wizards uniform and stuck with him thru the good and bad , wish he was on a contender tho , NBA fans need to see playoff Wall again
It sucks for him how bad Houston has been this year. I really hope he gets to be in a winning situation again. He is one of my favorite players and it's just good to see him back on the court after 2 years away. People love to hate on everybody instead of appreciating the world around them.
He got the illest Iso game now man😭 watching him live. It sucks because he’s leading a tank for a possible generational talent so he’s bullshitting a lot of the time but he has moments he locks in? Smh him and harden could’ve gotten a ring I promise you
@@unreasonabledoubt165 yeah man wall has always been a rhythm player. I remember him talking about “picking his spots” ever since like his earliest all star years in the league. I also remember him talking about guys in the league who could take over for 3-5 minute stretches of games( back before he felt he was at that level yet). He’s always been very aware and focused on how important players are who can pick moments in a game to take over for a time. And as you pointed out, we still see him do that this year and when he does it’s so fun to watch. Maybe that’s how it is for everyone? But I feel like for wall it’s that way more than others. He will casually go through a lot of game, taking shots but also just kind of blending in. But once he starts to feel this natural innate energy at points in the game, that’s when he will use that to try and swing momentum by scoring a bunch of points in a row. Such a large portion of his points come from consecutive baskets. For example his game agaisnr Dallas last week, he scored 8-10 in a row in a the first. Then he scored 8-10 in a row in the 3rd, and then he scored 7 in a row in those last 2 minutes to win the game. So out of 31 points I believe 27 game over a combined 10-12 minutes. Again, maybe this is how it always is? But I honestly feel like a lot of “scorers” just score constantly throughout the game. Like maybe they don’t ever hit 4 shots in a row, but rather they barely ever miss 4 shots in a row as well. Wall will miss 6 in a row and then make 4 in a row, etc. I believe this is how he has been able to become the 4th player EVER to average 19+ points and 9+ assists for his career. He spends much more of his time focusing on getting guys shots and creating potential assists, blending in, being that “boring” floor general, than he does being that Kobe mentality scorer. BUT when he is in that mindset, lol, dudes such a chucker. Also we have to keep in mind that this season in Houston hasn’t gone as planned, so Wall has not been able to play the way that he prefers to play. For one, he is playing for the worst shooting team in the league, averaging as many potential assists as Jokic( who averages 9 per game) yet only averaging 7 actual assists. If he had it his way, and this is based on what I have heard him say so many times, he would always prefer to pass first and take over gmaes with his passing. Sadly, when you see that he has the least number of potential assists converted out of the top 20 assist men, he can’t play that way and expect any type of success. So of course we still see him get dimes, but he’s been forced to be closer to a shoot first point guard than ever before, and sadly that just is not the best way for him to utilize his skill set. For as much as people thought being a better shooter makes him better overall, I believe the best way to utilize John is by taking advantage of his passing ability. You HAVE to give John and actual big man who can set hard screens all game long and run constant pick and roles and have good hands and awareness to catch his passes and finish. For as bad as Gortat has been since wall stopped playing with him, he was the perfect type of big man for wall, and the rockets need to add that if they want to get the most out of John. So if you give him that big, and then just a couple really lethal shooters around him who can convert at least 40 percent of their catch and shoot 3s?( that isn’t that hard, wall himself has shot 38 percent on catch and shoot 3s his last 6 seasons) not only will that take advantage of his passing chops and make your overall team better, but.it will make it easier for Wall himself to make the most out of his best scoring attributes and skills. The number 2 thing that allowed wall to be an all nba level player in DC for a few years was having a good defense. Why is that so important for wall specifically? Because the more stops you get the more you can RUN! Think of how few fastbreaks wall has had this year??? Isn’t that insane? Go look at any of his first 4 all star season highlights in DC, honestly it will seem as if he had more transition layups in one game than he has had all of this season. And asssits as well. He got SO many points and assists for running the floor and attacking the hoop, either finishing himself or kicking it to Beal running the wing. I believe some years he legit got like 6-8 points and 3-4 assists per game off of those transition opportunities!! Just trying to give some examples of how much an indiviudal players season, even in basketball, is so dependent on how his team plays. A lot of people believe that in basketball any good player can have a great season no matter how bad his team is. For some players that is true, but not for all. It really depends on the type of player they are IMO. I believe if the player is extremely iso heavy. They aren’t really interested in passing more than they have to, and they can constantly create their own shot as much as they want. I believe the types of players who’s individual play isn’t impacted at all by their team are also the players who don’t play great team basketball. You know? So as you said, this year we have seen Walls iso game really evolve out of necessity. He has had to become basically the antithesis of what he has always been. Hes had to be more of a Kobe( with Smush), Russ( in OKC) , Harden( in Houston) type of player in terms of his mentality, and he is honestly NOT good at it. I mean relative to how good he is as a team basketball player. I definitely have been impressed with him at times this year because of how he has been able to change his game and do his best despite evethring as well as the injuries. I think in the long run it could be really good for his career that he has this season to develop his iso game, but I also hope next season the team is built more towards his skill set. Remember early in the year when he talked about wanting to play with a big? And how he didn’t like the style that they played? Of course he said he was trying his best, but he was talking about small ball and 5 out. That is not best suited for John AT ALL. Again, he is talented enough that he can make it work, but it really diminishes what he could be for his team. I hope Houston realizes that just because there are trends in the league, you don’t have to follow them to a T. Look at the Lakers when lebron and AD are healthy. Lol that isn’t close to 5 out. And they are the best team in the league. John Wall is much closer to a LeBron type player than he is to a Harden type. He isn’t anywhere close to close to as good as them haha, but I just mean his skill set and play style.
@@schuylersavage276 my guy schuylerrrrr!!! Speaking facts as always! This season kills me more then anything because Wall needs Brad more then ever rn. Just like you said Wall was never a true iso player. And me being a true die hard Wall fan I can admit that I’d get jealous over the course of years because I know Wall was never gonna come down the court and I watch the other 4 guys get out of his way because they know he’s about to get a bucket. Wall is like you said a euphoric/rhythm type player. Idk why it’s so hard for him to stay in the pocket for longer lengths of a game last time he’s ever done it was the Atlanta series in 2017. I think the thing that hurts Wall more times then most is that his pride gets in the way and I understand why. Imagine being a walking 20-10 and nobody gives a fuck? Only people doing that in the last 20 years were Wall Westbrook Dwill Cp3 and Lebron....yet...no one cares? The difference between Wall and those guys is that they have a half court game. Or enough Will/talent to score at a high level. Just like you said I’ve seen Wall gives guys HELL for absolutely 46 seconds and he won’t do shit for 10&1/2 minutes and it’s like bro...do wtf you just did when you were excited!! It’s like he’s little kid sometimes and only cares when he’s excited or hyped it’s really odd. Never seen a player take over a game at that level for such a short ass time like that. I swear he has HOF level greatness for those short spurts but then he looks like a borderline all star when he’s not tapped in. I hate it!! This season actually made me respect Harden and I see why Harden would collapse in the playoffs. BUT I always felt like Hardens scoring was overkill. Like 12 of his points were empty and unnecessary and he just wanted high 30s to keep his ppg up. I hate hate hate how Wall is playing careless rn. I can only imagine what’s going on with him mentally after going into a season thinking your playing with your longtime backcourt mate who’s capable of avg fuckin 30+. Then you get traded to Houston to supposedly play with the best scorer of our time and he wants out. They have a true starting 5 for 5 games and what did Houston rank? 2nd in the league behind the Lakers. And now he’s “Tank commander” for Cade. It hurts man got my idol playing bad basketball and the world just thinks he’s shitty 21&6 after missing 2 years on a tank team. Smh.
John wall is 3rd all time out of qualifying players in playoff assists per game. He’s 50th all time in playoff points per game. He won an NBA record 4 consecutive game 1s on the road. He has upset 2 higher seeded teams. He became the first player ever with a 40 point, 13 assists, 3 block and 3 steal playoff game. He broke Jordans record with 10 games in a row of at least 20p and 7a in the playoffs. He’s the only player ever with 27 ppg and 10 apg through a playoff run of at least 10 games(13 games. Next closest is 5 games). In 4 trips to the playoffs, he only lost in the opening round his 4th trip, advancing in all 3 of his first series. He did that without a single all-star or all-defense or coach of the year on his team. He is the winningest 5+ time all star in NBA history when factoring in how much “help” a player had. He is tied with AD, but he beats AD because he did it three times to ADs one. He joined Magic as only with back to back playoff games of at least 27 points 14 assists and 6 rebounds and 4 steals. He led the Wizards on a 25-0 run, playoff record, during which his 3rd qtr performance was so ridiculous even Max and SAS argued he might be better than Steph as the #1 PG. He is never lost a playoff series to a team that wasn’t the #1 seed, and he has never lost a series in less than 6 games. Even when he missed 2 months with knee surgery and only had 4 games to get in game shape to return for the 2018 playoffs, he went out and averaged 26 points 11.5 assists 5 rebounds 2.3 steals and 2.3 blocks per game. He finished in the top 8 in every category except for rebounds in 2016/17 and 2017/18 playoffs. Even blocks. He joined MJ and LeBron as only players to drop 40+ and 8+ dimes in a game 6 or 7 on the road, closing out the Hawks with 42 and 8 with 19 coming in the last 8 minutes after the hawks had cut the lead to 1. He posted 26 points and a team playoff record 17 assists in a huge game 2 victory in Toronto to go up 2-0 heading back to Washington. He scored 23 second half points including the game winning 3 with 2 seconds left in game 6 against Boston. This is the only shot since Ray Allen that a player has made where, if he missed, his teams season was over. He has averaged a combined 26 points 11 assists 2 steals and 2 blocks his last 20 playoff games. He has averaged at least 25 and 10 in 3 consecutive series. At the time it had not been done but perhaps it has now? Not sure. His career 21.9 points and 9.84 assists per game in the playoffs but him in a class of his own. The only player in league history with averages over 9 assists and 20 points. Russell Westbrook has a chance to join him as he is at 24 points and 8 assists. Magic and Stockton are the only two players to average 10 assists, but both of them averaged below 20 for their playoff careers. In terms of clutch ness, while his game 7 4th qtr often stands out in casuals minds, as he went ice cold after his coach refused to let him rest after the 3rd when he said he was exhausted, he has actually been very clutch at times in the playoffs. Just like with Jordan and Kobe, he has his bad moments, and epic moments. The list of playoff games where he either took over late or hit a huge shot to take or extend a lead is too long. I also believe that scoring 17 points in the 3rd qtr of a game when you are down 3-1 to blow the game open and make the 4th qtr pointless is pretty clutch as well. Or his first career closeout game in Chicago( back when games were low scoring and ending 82-76) wall posted a game high 24 points and 5 assists including a clutch 3, mid range, fast break euro layup and 2 FTs. He also has led his teams back from being down 0-2 to tie the series every single time. Even his performances in games his teams have lost have been special, such as his 10-12 29 point and 7 assist in 27 minutes in game 3 loss against Atlanta. Or games 1 and 2 in Boston. Games 1, 2, 5 and 6 against Toronto. Game 5 agaisnr Atlanta. Seriously, outside of a couple other players, I can’t think of many stats who, to get a playoff win, had to play so great and even if they played great themselves there was still a good chance they lose. Wall has had the worst rated bench of all playoff teams numerous times, zero all stars, and the worst coach of all time for 2 trips and only a decent coach for the other trips. All he ever had was a 20-24 year old Bradley Beal.
He had flashes, but, needs to work out some of the kinks. His shooting form from 3 looked better this season. And, despite having a low 30% average, he attempted and made more threes per game than ever before. I'm interested in seeing what Houston puts together next season. Biggest change for Wall might be sacrificing a few of his own shots for KPJ and Wood to get more shot attempts
@@Joe_Parmesan crazy thing is his injury isnt the thing tht held him back this yr , his athleticism and speed is still above avg , its the fact that he tried to be this score first guard who takes alot of shots a game and iso’s too much , he needs to be pass first wall again , and stop with the dribble pull ups and so many damn 3’s
I came to watch this just because since he didn’t get to play this year. I get tired of people speaking about him on IG like he’s trash because he’s not playing. Dude came back and average 20, 7, and 3 off a knee injury, and achilles injury, and passing of his mother. He has plenty left in the tank. I hope him and Houston figure something out
John wall is literally looking at the lakers right now saying “ I’m yours” and lakers are like “nah” I think they could be better with John wall if they make that trade
All I'm saying is that I'm not giving up on John Wall. He looked much better than he did leading up to his surgery and unfortunate accident in 2018. Folks swore up and down that Melo was destined for the CBA just a few years ago. While he wasn't a star, he contributed to a playoff team, for two straight seasons. And, folks said that Dwight Howard couldn't cut it anymore either, before he played a major part in the Lakers championship last season, making life difficult for the newly crowned NBA MVP. Of course, there was Rondo too, after he got traded to the Mavs. I think it's imperative that Christian Wood and Kevin Porter Jr. (edit: Jalen Green now too, after the draft) average more shots per game than John Wall, which I believe can happen next season, but, he's not done yet as a player
was he efficient this year? hell no. but 20 and 6 is still 20 and 6 and that’s impressive coming off of an Achilles injury and whatever tf else he was dealing with. he’s not a fossil or anything yet so hopefully he’ll get that consistency up so he can help a team win some games
The fact that he came back from an Achilles injury that sat him out of two season and played Even better than he ever had I mean shit his three point shot percentage has gone up I love wall I hope the rockets don’t trade him I think he will be a key part in this rebuild in my honest opinion
My folks not as explosive as he once was but his jumper did get better and he's still able to get past damn near everybody. Wish he stayed in DC but.. 😒 who really stays in DC for their entire career. ( Chris Whitney )
Yeh he’ll be good for a while. Look at drose still elite without his bounce. I always say players like these are picked in the draft number one for a reason. They still have legendary bbiq and work ethic that continues to separate them from the just good players even when they do lose a chunk of athleticism.
@@jeremyliggins5764 but the wizards DIDnT build Around him that was the issue. Yes, they pretended to, but what I mean is that they never truly made the sacrifices they had to, the tough decisions that great front offices make, to take advantage of having a player like Wall and then Beal. What I mean is that John Wall is the only 5+ all star in NBA history to advance in the playoffs 3 times without a single all star, all nba, all defense, COTY, GMOTY, DPOY, 6thMOTY, etc, on his team. Think about that!!! They didn’t actually build around him effectively. They basically tried to fill out a roster with veterans and draft picks. When did they ever package Otto, 2 firsts, a pick swap, etc, for an all star WING or big? You know what I’m saying? According to an ESPN study in 2019, John Wall has won more with less “help” than any 5+ time all star in NBA history. Or, if putting it this way makes more sense: Out of all of the perennial all stars who had no accoladed support, Wall won the most. I understand it is easy not to know these things or not to have followed anything about the wizards becusdr they were such a joke prior to wall, but that’s also kind of the point!! Wall made the WIZARDS into a team that was being picked to make the ECF despite not being a top 3 seed. The media were all picking the wizards over the Hawks in 2015 until Wall broke his hand, and then again over the celtics. And they all made it clear, they were not picking the wizards because they are a great team, they were simply going off of what they had seen from Wall: that he was that good he would be able to overcome being matched up with better TEAMS and and coaches. What Wall was able to overcome in DC is really aweosme if you think about it. We all know one player can’t win by themselves, but relative to other stars wall basically did as well as you could imagine. I mean the the joke that was the wizards, and has been the wizards since he got injured and then traded, became a team that was even criticized for “only” making the ECSF 3 times in 4 years. Walls coach the first 2 times was Randy Whitman, the coach with the worst record in NBA history with 350 games coached PRIoR to coaching wall. The 3rd time was with Scott Brooks, who people like to say is the worst coach in the league now lol. And Ernie Grunfeld is seen as being so terrible as a GM you will find many lists, like the one I just read, that have him ranked as the 13th worst GM ever. An example of how ridiculous it is Wall was able to win any playoff games despite how outmatched his teams were top to bottom to front office is to look at game 7 against Boston. The wizards bench is outscored 44 points to 5 points in a game the wizards barley lost by double digits, and were up 7 in the 2nd half and within 5 late. Wall is known for being too passionate and hard headed to ever want to come out of games or test injuries( led to the achillies tear and all the bone Spurs and tendinitis). With that in mind, coach brooks said after gmae 7 that walls poor 4th qtr was his fault because Wall actually ASKED for a break after the 3rd qtr as he was exhausted from carrying the wizards all playoffs, but the coach refused( a player who NEVeR wants to come out) because he told wall the bench and especially their backup guards were too pathetic for him to be off the floor. Even tho Beal was on the team and reallt good even at that age? Wall wasn’t allowed even a 2/3 minute rest . It led to Wall, who was already close to a triple double entering the 4th(18 points 9 assists 7 rebounds) to finish the game with only 18/11/7. 2 measly assists. He didn’t even try to get to the hoop once and simply had no legs left to even reach the back of the rim of his shots. Michael Jordan won the most important playoff game of his career( down 0-2 to the Knicks, had been caught partying and gambling night before game 3) while shooting 3-17. Why? Cuz Scottie went 10-12 for 29 and everyone else picked him up, as good teammates should, and they blew out the Knicks. Wall simply didn’t have that luxury.
@@jeremyliggins5764 no all the wizards did was draft Beal , they quit after that , never had a good athletic big , never got them a bench and he never had a good backup PG so he got ran into the ground , Wizards did nothing but waste his best years , Beal will be the same way if he doesnt leave
What all of y’all is saying is facts and I appreciate that fasho 🔥💯. All I’m saying is that if Washington knew before hand that John Wall would end up being this good then they would have did better tbh. Honestly all it comes down to is these small market teams wasting a players talent and when teams think you’re done then they get rid of you. Everything that happened to John Wall was out of John Wall’s hands like his injuries and even when he got traded. John Wall didn’t want to get traded.....Russell Westbrook did and all they did to complete the trade was basically match contracts. I think the same thing is happening to Karl Anthony Towns and Giannis where the team is really wasting their talents and let them go once they can’t perform at a high level anymore. While yes John Wall has hella talent the problem I have is that you don’t see teams build around players John’s age. Next year John is gonna be 31 and what’s the odds of Houston building a team around a 31 year old. If John was 18,19, or in his early twenties or mid twenties then that’s different, but as of now John needs to find a team that will help him contend for rings. He’s done everything else. He just needs a ring but he probably has to wait til his contract is up cause I don’t see a lot of teams tryna trade for an aging star who makes money like he’s a up and coming star. I’m just tryna keep it 💯 with y’all.
@@jeremyliggins5764 he was pretty much the unanimous #1 pick in the draft , every one pretty much knew he would be tht good , they jus waste careers , Gilbert , Wall and now Beal the wiz jus waste talent and waste careers , the best free agent they got for Wall and Beal during tht era was 37 yr old paul pierce
I think he’s a better fit on the lakers than Westbrook. Little bit better shooter, plays more under control, doesn’t turn the ball over as much and won’t get his feelings hurt if he has to come off the bench to help the team 🤷♂️
Idk I feel like the Sixers should take a chance. He was on a bad team but putting up 20 and 7 in the Western Conference is still impressive regardless of his injuries and age....
It's a shame he's so damn inefficient. Only 40% from the field, 70-ish% from the FT line (doesn't get there quite as often as you'd like for a slasher) and his assist to turnover ratio isn't great either. On/off defender effort-wise. But he a fun player to watch when he's switched on.
He has a bad FG% cus he takes alot of dumb shots , and he gets no respect from the refs and never has , he can be a 25ppg scorer if he got calls , he is a very good finisher and spot up shooter tho , if he took out the bad dumb shots he would be pretty efficient , thats always been his problem tho he sometimes forgets he’s John Wall and not Kyrie
This is very true, but that isn’t his whole career. For his career he’s just under 44 from the field, 33 from 3 and I believe 78 from the line. I’m not saying that’s anything close to efficient, but this is by far his least efficient season in terms of FG percent. Of course his upped 3s made and attempted has made it more of a middling season for him in terms of eFG and true shooting, as opposed to a career worst( modern world so of course we know FG isn’t reallt the best judge anymore due to 3s) but honestly if he wasn’t having such an inefficient seaosn by his standards from everywhere BUT 3, this would likely be his best eFG and true shooting of his career. As far as the lack of FTs, honestly man that has NOTHING to do with anything Wall can control. There is a reason he is so close to leading the league in technicals lol. The dude has legit had many games this year where he has taken somewhere between 20-30 shots and only 2 Free throws. Seriously. And Wall welcomes contact like he’s lebron man, no lie. Acting as if there was anthrint Wall could to do get to the FT line more, to me, is just crazy. I have studied this so much, of course I’ve read the articles that DC used to write about it since it’s been an issue since his early all star days, of course I’ve heard him himself talk about it in many interviews saying he doesn’t care if he gets fined because it’s just so ridiculous at this point. Actually if you have followed, he is at the point now where if he gets asked about his lack of respect/calls from the refs post game he kind of just shakes his head and shares a chuckle with the local reporters about it. His past coaches have addressed it with the league I’ve heard. Do you know any of the stories about Iverson and the refs? Basically the league didn’t like him, and before games or at the beginning of the week they would send out a memo not to call fouls on him. He had some 30 shot games with 2 FTs. My guess is that it had something to do with the league not liking his image( all of the issues with the way he dressed. Basically it’s racism. He was not a bad person actually he is a great person but he didn’t hide his roots, he is an example of someone who makes it out of the hood but never pretends that’s not where they are from) so they wanted to do Wharver they could to make him worse. It is a biiig reason for Iverson s% being so low. If you don’t get a call you don’t just miss the FTs, you get a missed shot. It’s so unfair. The exact same thing had always been an issue for Wall, from the refs to the way the NBA instructs the media to highlight his greatness during his wizards career. It’s why he got skipped over for all-nba teams by guys on non-playoff teams averaging 20 and 6 while he was averaging 19.9 10.2 4.9 1.9 and 0.8 blocks on 35 percent from 3( only player in the league with those numbers. John of course could control this in some ways. But he cares more about being true to who he is and being real and honest and authentic than he does about pandering to the NBA powers. “Gang sign John wall” ring a bell? Even before he got in trouble for doing what he’s been doing his whole career, that has DEF hurt him. Not because the fans have an issue with it. Heck it kind of made him more popular lol! Just like Iverson we love REALNESS, but the league is NOT going to promote you or give you ANYTHING close to star treatment, even if you overcome their bias agaisnr you and become an all star. Do you know the only time the nba gave Wall ANY real love? When he had one of the best point guard seasons in modern NBA history and they were forced to, and still they didn’t give him the same love they would to someone else they like better if they had done what Wall did. It is why Wall used to complain about the wizards not being on TV even when they were winning and all. Most teams, once they make the playoffs with a young star that makes sports enter every night, that team is on national TV all of the time the next season. Well Wall started that in 2013 and by 2016/17 the wizards still only had I believe 4 Scheduled TV games, but they had a few more added once Wall played so well and led the wizards to that 17 game home winning streak and 21 wins in 27 games. It wasn’t until playoff time, when the league HAS to show every Wall game, that the casual fans and national audience got to see how good he was. At that point the league has no choice. If they ignore him at that point it will make it too obvious. The Leaufe only wants to fix things that basically don’t stick out. If you have a Dude breaking jordabs record of consecutive playoff games over 20 points and 7 dimes, the first player ever with 27 and 10 dimes per game across at least 10 playoff games, joining bron and Jordan as the only guys to post at least 40 and 8 in a road game 6/7 win, you HAVE to give him some credit for it. That being said, they didn’t highlight it as much as if it was someone else. A lot of things you said are SO true, especially for this season; but imagine what his ppg FTpg and FG would look like if he got calls the same % of times he was actually fouled as your average player. Wall is one of the top players in the league in drives per game, he invites contact, and he shots less FTs than guys like Lillard who are outside a lot of the time. It’s one thing if a player can’t draw contact, Wall is NOT that. He says that basically in years past it’s seems that since he is so strong and can finish through contact he doesn’t get a lot of calls, similar to lebron at his position. But that’s totally BS, and clearly this year he hasn’t been able to finish through the contact. Lol sometimes they say he is creating and looking for the contact..which is what you are supposed to do to get FTs...idk it’s just BS and the league has always hated John. Everything about John’s game screams highlights and excitement. He could be so beloved if he was the same player in a big city with a league that was on his side. That’s what sucks man, guys like Jordan, already so good, still get the league helping them look better. Guys like Wall, prettt good, but they have to play agaisnr the league AND the opponents
@juwan harris he took some of those same bad shots in DC his whole career , we all remember wall shooting a few too many contested mid range pull ups early in the shot clock , and those transition pull up 3’s , he jus took alot more of those this yr thts the only difference , like i said he my fav player but he only need to shoot spot up 3’s , thts his best chance at hitting a 3
Im still mad the Wiz choose to bring in Dwight instead of Demarcus...Wiz never gave Brad and John a 3rd star or a coach to maximize their potential...Mark Jackson would have been perfect
Even worse is that Washington could've possibly signed Dwight two years sooner (unless he was determined to sign with Atlanta - his hometown team). People frequently point to Wall's supermax as the biggest issue with Washington's finances (it became a major issue when he got injured), but, the signings made in the 2016 summer put the team at a severe disadvantage in terms of depth, especially signing an injured, 30+ year old, Ian Mahinmi for $16M/year, to play backup C. They paid him slightly more than then-starter Marcin Gortat. And, as much as I like Otto Porter as a player, they signed him to a max deal, making him the highest paid player in Washington for a couple of years (before Wall's supermax kicked in).
@@Joe_Parmesan otto got paid and went on to avg 10, 1 & 1 that post season smh but then ernie decides to move Oubre and Porter and a pick to get Ariza for half a season....Ernie ruined us
@@luispereira9176 I don’t think we would be able to trade for both of them because the Rockets are not gonna trade Wood so a trade I came up with was John Wall and they’re 2021 1st round pick (23rd or 24th overall) for Kemba and Tristan. I think this is fair trade cuz John Wall’s contract is bigger than Kemba’s and has more years so the Rockets would have to give up something extra and a late 1st round pick should be good. Hopefully we trade for John cuz I still think he’s a top PG in the league.
unrelated, but can we get less teams that are white black and red in the NBA ? we got the blazers , bulls , rockets . like don’t get me wrong , i fw the way they look rn , but we need some more variation . bulls obviously should stay black white and red , but maybe the rockets could switch to the light blue like their city jerseys (based off of the oilers)
It’s gonna be really hard for the Rockets to move that contract.now if the 🚀 Attach a couple first rounders It would be in the best interest of the Knicks to kick the tires on a deal involving multiple assets.Hey you never know John Wall might come to the Knicks and give them two healthy years of great basketball.

It hurts man got my idol playing bad basketball and the world just thinks he’s shitty
21&6 after missing 2 years on a tank team. Smh.
Phactszz.. but i miss the old wall💯😭
John wall probably my favorite player since college days. He plays with a strong demeanor just like his personality
Folks just don't know, man. Hopefully, next year ought be different, with some full off-season training beside his teammates

@The truth shall set Bronsexuals free makes 0 sense

Houston better find a way to build around this legend. ❤️
Idk cause it’s gonna be Washington Wizards all over again if they do that 🤷🏿♂️
@@jeremyliggins5764 but the wizards DIDnT build
Around him that was the issue.

@juwan harris he my fav player but its facts , im not a biased mf
@juwan harris he took some of those same bad shots in DC his whole career , we all remember wall shooting a few too many contested mid range pull ups early in the shot clock , and those transition pull up 3’s , he jus took alot more of those this yr thts the only difference , like i said he my fav player but he only need to shoot spot up 3’s , thts his best chance at hitting a 3

Laker fan here. I’m not sure why I’m here 🥲
Just give him a shot, Lakers!
End this Westbrick nightmare 😩🤦♂️
@@Joe_Parmesan otto got paid and went on to avg 10, 1 & 1 that post season smh but then ernie decides to move Oubre and Porter and a pick to get Ariza for half a season....Ernie ruined us
Please make RJ BARRET 🗽
Clippers got a steal. He still got it might come back better than ever if he developed a good jump shot
exactly bro he averaged 21 and 7 which is pretty dam good i can’t wait until his debut with the clippers
He will be either a Knick, Celtic or Bull this offseason
Hopefully him and Wood on the Celtics via Kemba+Smart+Tristan trade
@@luispereira9176 I don’t think we would be able to trade for both of them because the Rockets are not gonna trade Wood so a trade I came up with was John Wall and they’re 2021 1st round pick (23rd or 24th overall) for Kemba and Tristan. I think this is fair trade cuz John Wall’s contract is bigger than Kemba’s and has more years so the Rockets would have to give up something extra and a late 1st round pick should be good. Hopefully we trade for John cuz I still think he’s a top PG in the league.
Who's here after shams tweeted he's coming back to houston??
Easily still a top 10 player when healthy.
Keep sleeping John wall I hope my rockets keep him but if he goes somewhere else I hope he goes crazy🚀
Traveled with the ball behind his back but tough highlights
Why is he not playing!?!?!
Lol why did that travel at 1:15 make the highlights?
To see if anyone was paying attention lmao
Where he going now
🐐
Boutta be a Laker tomorrow
Clippers got him now
unrelated, but can we get less teams that are white black and red in the NBA ? we got the blazers , bulls , rockets . like don’t get me wrong , i fw the way they look rn , but we need some more variation . bulls obviously should stay black white and red , but maybe the rockets could switch to the light blue like their city jerseys (based off of the oilers)
It’s gonna be really hard for the Rockets to move that contract.now if the 🚀 Attach a couple first rounders It would be in the best interest of the Knicks to kick the tires on a deal involving multiple assets.Hey you never know John Wall might come to the Knicks and give them two healthy years of great basketball.

nope, gather
if wall join le36 then le36 played w 18 superstars 😂👌

Random thought. The Clippers should trade for Wall. They need a point guard and I think he would play well besides Kawhi, PG, and Bledsoe
Nah they decided to trade for Bledsoe instead lol bruh that trade made no sense
you got it
