No no no no. I have an fj cruiser and to see this it's hurts. I built a wooden kind of ladder that the rooftop slides on as I also have to put it on /off by myself. Trust me the beers will never help the damage you can do to the fj with that setup
Exact same idea I had. That is version 1 to a success. Did you ever get it to work correctly and not break? Like you said, nothing go broke. I guess my gladiator one will need a stronger setup? Please do an updated video on the fix.

Why didn't you just make the rack a little taller? That would have kept you from dinking up the top of your rig, and would have been alot easier to move around. Other than that, great idea!!

I am so with you. Ha 195 lb dude anyone would struggle but this is a legit way of raising and lowering it.
