She was a house rep for a couple of terms, but she was sick of how corrupt DC was and came back to run for governor to be at the state level. I am from SD and am blessed we have her, I do think she needs to go back to national politics at some point. I think she was ahead of her time in congress and just got frustrated with nothing ever getting done. Maybe the next few years will weed the swamp out so that real leaders will step in.

I'm a South Dakota student here. Many people blamed Kristi Noems negligence over covid for all of the cases we got. But ad this pandemic starts to come to an end I've realized she was right for everything she did. The cases are high for our population. I have watched the numbers states that have lockdown there state and economy are slowly catching up to us in cases per capita. The only difference is that we remained open, we let workers work, let people make money, we let the people survive, and we let people learn. All thanks to our brilliant governor Kristi Noem.
"Cases". In other words, "How many people got a bad cold that we will test for with this bogus test that produces 90% false positives."
Kristi was also first in line to get the covid vaccine!!!

In 2020 (that is, not considering the last two months), in South Dakota there have been 27% more deaths as compared to previous years. Or, three months worth of extra deaths vs a national average of two months. Or, 1 extra death out of every 466 South Dakotans vs a national average of 1 out of every 660. And pretty sure she has been hiding some.
In summary, she let more citizens to die of covid19 than the big orange did.

The No State position has more going for it today than it did back in the 90's when I first considered it. Her statements (aside from actions) is really what enchanted me. When it comes to Public Governance, Vigilance is ALWAYS the Norm. It has been demostrated over decades that Corruption will take Both Sides of an issue to drive us into the Toilet.
