I'm with you, the background noise, colleagues and interaction is far more motivating than being sat at home alone. I'm so easily distracted by my cats, cleaning the house, getting yet another snack, etc that working at home just isn't for me. Plus our office has a gym and cafe on site so there are huge positives to going in.
This is an interesting video. I am still working from home and it suits my lifestyle better. I would have quite a long commute to the ofice and that in itself is stressful. I currently can wake up and be sat at my desk within about 15 minutes and working
The nice thing at the moment is probably the variation and flexibility rather than one monotonous work routine all week. The travel costs drop if you get to work from home and your more likely to make lunch than buy lunch which adds up. Agree that chill environment is nice as there's enough stress in the day. Interesting to see the shared office setup. You're seem like a pretty cool person. To infinity and beyond!

Nice tour of WeWork, super useful to see the other floors. To the right of the revolving doors you'll find an exit button (silver panel)! To pass the glass barriers you just need to take a step back and scan your pass before hand. Last one, wave your hand under the elevator screen and select your floor and then head to the elevator letter shown on the screen. Cheers.

Great video! I've been looking at work spaces for my e commerce work, and this looks about the best I have seen. The thought that strikes me most about your situation is all the freebies that come with the "office." There is both an irony and a lesson here. Study hard, sacrifice a small part of life to learn, do the internships, stay goal oriented, and you will be given all sorts of free things that someone working a more ordinary job would have to spend their meager earnings to buy.

That documentary about the founding of WeWork was fascinating, but it seems like a good open space to work. I was lucky in that my specific job meant that I would have to be able to go to the building to work, because there's no way I could work at home.

I started my internship 11 months ago and I'm still working from home. I don't think I would like to work in the office because is a big commute and I would lose so much time of my day if I went there. However, after I graduate university, when I get a full time job, I'd like to work 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.
Everything about my office is great. I love it. There is free coffee, tea, and soda products. I can listen to my own music. I get an hour for my lunch break. Also this weekend we are having a huge company fair with carnival games, rides, and free food. Even the parking passes and event tickets were free. I love working for UWM.
Wow, such a pleasant space, wework tour has set up high expectations for my tomorrow's return to the office. Actually, for me, it's gonna be 1st day in the office (have been working remotely since I was hired almost 1.5 year ago) so I can't wait to see the space, see other people who are working for the company and feel the company spirit 😊
The high pony, turtle neck and glasses look would definitely make you look chic. You would look really great that way. Also don't forget to add a little bit of red lipstick.

The WeWork sounds like a pretty cool timeshare office space. I especially like those new-age phone booths. (I know they're actually privacy booths, but what do they become when you use them to make a phone call?) I'll bet you could have gotten them to sponsor you. You seemed fairly calm whilst you were trapped in the building, and while you were flouting the gate rules.
Honestly I like working from home waaaay more than going to the office but not gonna lie - my office is fab (with free coffee, tea and even CEREALS). One thing that frustrates me about office is there are some people who like to start to talk to me while I'm focused on my task :D But hey, everyone is different! Also corpo-life is challenging but quite rewarding :D
I honestly prefer working from home mostly. I get a LOT more done. My office isn‘t nearly as nice as your WeWork space though. If I had that I‘d probably go in more than the two in-office days I have a week. Which are nice as well, seeing co-workers and using a more professional set up than I have at home. But all in all, wfh is where it‘s at for me. Saves me a 70km commute and a lot of nerves.
I also started one year ago remotly. In the beginning it was nice, but after a few weeks I really needed some interaction :) So now me and my other trainees go to the office 2 days a week :) the flexibility is amazing! :)

A very welcoming and spacious co working office. You are so brave to walk around a large empty office with not a soul in sight. Surprise there are no security guards downstairs by reception or main entrance. Must be very costly to leave all the lights on at night.
What amenities did they have during your visit please? WeWork used to be famous for coffee, beer, kabucha, flavoured waters, etc but seems they have scaled back since the IPO disaster.
Excellent tour. Like you I always enjoyed the office environment over home. However my job was system support for a 24/7 company. Demanded off site access. Do not be surprised that others at the place enjoy your presence, you are a + to the company. Question and caution, does your bike or helmet have a light. Be careful for pm riding. :o)
I'm now forced to work from home because of the covid situation in my country. And I'm worried I'm not gonna make it. Today was my first day at home and I don't feel motivated at all, I feel alone and very sad. The worst part is that nobody knows how long this is gonna be. Based on the last year, I don't expect returning to normal working schedule any further than in spring. Anyone in similar situation too? 😢
